It can operate no matter how long without corrosion. The secret is in the water. I am using 316L here... I still have 304S they don't corrode either. In fact, I find 304SS nice conductors due to the chrome content.

But I would discourage 304s' simply because of it's higher chance of producing muck a.k.a. Chromium Hexavalent.

What grade of stainlesssteel are you using?
I can't find 316l here in the philippines. Is your hydrogen booster can operate in 24hrs basis without corroding the cell?
