slade and flat irons cant compare to this carve master. The little toys they ride remind of when I used to see johnny boy out there. he would take off late and get deep but when it came to the bombs and dropping in ultra deep and going ultra fast drawing a long line from behind the pit and into and through the barrel, those side slippers just couldnt compare. No it's the same board that he used in the final... He gave it to Eralado Gueiros, owner of this quik store. The board was been fixed (really bad) and still there if you want to take a look.

It's got to be a replica or a similar back-up board. The one he road to victory was snapped on his 6th wave. Nevertheless...it died a hero.

They did a feature on the 2 boards of that winter in surfer magazine. One was Carrol's 7'6" pintail, and the other was Curren's 7'10" logo-less board he won at Haliewa.
