my first hip hop experience was the early 80's. Listening to Run Dmc Sucker MC's, Grandmaster Flash, Sugar Hill Gang, Doug E Fresh, Fat Boys,Kool Moe Dee, Busy Bee,on the radio. This was when rap was hard to find on the radio. I remember switching radio for hours just to hear sucker mc.
My first hip-hop experience had to be the Beastie Boys because Rick Rubin got them onto the rock radio stations, so us boys in the sticks could hear that city music!
