@indaks007 completely agree! I see Frimmpong becoming an Essien type for us when he has a bit more experience. Also, I think a lot of great players have overcome a lack of physicality to do quite well, he has done well against United, Shrewsbury and Tottenham so he could well adapt! Either way I think they are both going to eclipse Song
Both Coquelin and Frimpong just need to improve on the ball and they will be ready for 1st team, their defensive capabilities are outstanding [both are natural born fighters as well].
@supergunner07 I agree completely! One thing we've lacked in recent years is a bit of fight in our squad, some natural born winners! I see the same sort of attitude from Wilshere and Chamberlain as well. I expect all of them to continue getting better with age!
wenger should promote the likes of Wellington, afobe, bartley, frimpong, lansbury, manonne, and coquelin into first team. then few signings like samba, larsson, oxlade, witsel, sakho, and richards. let cash in on cesc, nasri, diaby, sagna, clichy, rosicky, chamakh, bendtner, arshavin, squillaci, eboue, denilson and almunia
very unique player ! solid passing , great dafender , solid at playmakeing , running a lot and his position is right wing , that is very unique ! i know that he will get some games at midfield (dmf or cmf ) at arsenal but i think that he will play at right back more at arsene wenger ! i think that he will get abouth 20 games at arsenal next season !
He looks good, depends on whether AW feels he's ready or not but I think he'd be useful as a squad player. I don't think Song has the mobility to play in a 4-4-2 so Coquelin would be a handy backup for those occasions when we switch to 4-4-2 (during home games mostly). But obviously it depends on the staff's assessment, quite hard to tell from just a handful of appearances. An experienced player might be worth investing in, just to give Frimpong + Coquelin a year to develop (and learn from him).
soo this guy is really good playing like this against a top team nice work. Maybe he can be our new box to box player u never know :). I tought last year he came a bit short at the back position but this position is good for this lad !
Hadn't realised really how good he was until you made this and the compilation of him against Rennes...I think someone needs to show Arsene Wenger this clip.
I'm sure Wenger knows exactly how good he is. Coquelin will be part of the first team squad next season, I don't think there's any doubt about that. He has the technique, the awareness, the speed of thought, and fantastic strength and aggression. He is going to be a top player.
@lnrdo49 It will be interesting because we've fallen apart now. Many are pushing for recruitment's, and while I think we need a new Centre back, and a good finishing striker to backup RVP, many have forwarded the notion of an experienced defensive midfielder to provide competition for Song. I think its a good idea, but I'm excited about the prospects in both Coquelin and Frimpong. There are a lot of hard decisions to be made; I'm glad I'm not making them. In Wenger I trust...
@Reuben235 I agree with those additions, personally I think we have internal solutions for them. I've been really impressed with Bartley and Coquelin and believe they'll both go straight into next season's squad - that's the extra cover at CB and CM dealt with in my opinion.
Up front I think we could do with replacing Bendtner, I like him but like Eduardo and Vela I think he's struggled to adapt to the lone striker role, whereas RVP and Chamakh have taken to it really well.
@lnrdo49 Yes, I still have faith in Vela. But he can't play the Lone striker role, he would be great in my opinion playing off Chamakh or RVP. I think bendtner's time at Arsenal is over, but we need a reliable finisher to cover for RVP. Because while Chamakh is good at many things, he can't shoot... And Vela, I have faith in him to succeed, but I can't trust him yet.
@lnrdo49 I dont think he has struggled to adapt. Its just that henever gets to play in the lone striker role. He is always played on the wing. Given a run of games in the first team he will come good. We saw it last season where he was scoring regularly.
True, Bendtner hasn't had as many opportunities this season in that position, but isn't that because Chamakh has fulfilled the role so much better? I have nothing against Nick though, I think he's a very talented player but just better suited to a two-man attack. He had some terrific performances alongside Vela when he was first coming through. Football has moved towards single striker formations and unfortunately some players aren't as suited to those systems.
@lnrdo49 No Arsenne Wengr has moved towards one striker formations and his stubbornness will never see him be flexible. Look at Utd. They have a range of formations for different occasions. Chamakh just took his chance at the begning of the season where both RVP and Nick were injured. As soon as RVP came both Chamakh and Nick have been bench warming. Bendtner can clearly play in a one man formation because he did it last season with no problem

Both Coquelin and Frimpong are missing one or two things
Coquelin is incredibly good in defense and on the ball but he lacks physicality for the PL and has a few injury concerns
Frimpong on the other hand is a beast but he has no experience whatsoever
Coquelin best position is a box to box midfielder and Frimpong's best position is DM
