  • he seems always to strip off for this song.

  • I remember being at this gig. Loved it! Forgot it was televised. Good to see it again.

  • Curious, is this concert available anywhere to download?

    Thx for posting, bootleg fiends...

  • oh my god it's the sexiest performance I've ever seen. Ian is just so handsome and sexy, I can't even tell how I was hypnotised with this. 7 minutes of pure sexiness.

  • Liverpool +0p$#!+

  • If you like this then you will like the band I manage, The Ran-Tan Waltz.. Hyped by NME, major support slots last/this year, 2 big London shows coming up in April. New EP released on Philophobia Records etc... Vids on the youtube profile x

  • I love fenders but they dont stay in tune!

  • @Snotra Hey man, Telecasters are one of the best guitars for staying in tune XD clearly not Wills Jag thouth :)

  • How can I get a guitar sound like the red jaguar in this?

  • er, it's Fiesta Red...pink lol.

  • Clean...where have I been? Awesome.

  • THIS is my favourite song of bunnymen! amazing~~~~~~~~~

  • Fucking great! Post-punk at its finest...

  • Let's see neo psychedelic punk era or today's hip-hop and the low state rock and roll is in today(2009).................give me '78-92 anytime......music like this actually meant something....

  • doin it cleeeaaannn

  • One of the best bands ever.

  • Great Rare Footage!

  • I needed to hear this, saved the day!

    Thanks Pete for send!

  • yes indeedy , we do it clean on tuesday .... peace brah

  • Incredible performance by a great band. You really feel the 60's garage and Velvets influences here. Ian's solo at about 2:10 is straight off of the Banana album.

  • I had to be a drug addict for 15 years to finally realize the importance of this song. I made it...sober now 3 years...freedom at last! WAY COOL ECHO!!

  • when i fell in love with Ian - it was forever.

the best fucking band in the world!

  • he still is............aged and mellowed, but still so sexy. He and Jon Bon Jovi have both aged very well.

  • Ian's voice, meanwhile, is ruined. Check out some of the recent live material. His chain smoking has really hurt his vocals.

  • yep...you are right...he does sort of suck now and it is his own stupid fault for smoking and boozing it up.....looks like he would take better care of himself if he plans to keep performing.

  • ian was sooooo gorgeous back then!!!1

  • WHoo Hoo! Just learned the bunnymen are doing a full US tour next year! I have invited them to stay at my house if they get to my city! Guess where Ians sleeping?

  • I was there. TOTALLY BOSS!

  • Yeah, at first I thought of it as sexual (yeah, that's my mind for ya) but then I got the jist.

I guess it can be interpreted anyway anyone likes. The best songs are universal, right?

  • i like our interpretation better...SEX...surely better than herion, right?

  • Haha yeah. Sex is much less deadly that herion...sort of.

    Feels cooler!

  • don't forget that it is also free and legal!

  • OMG........THATS GOING BACK A WAYS! lOVE IT! BUT I LIKE GETTIN DIRTY MYSELF! LOL DI:)

  • ya know what i mean

  • My best concert ever: Echo Roskilde -87

My second best: Echo Hultsfred -84

    Enough said

  • Whow i am breathless with that song great band great miss too thanks for posting peace to y'all ^_^

  • Wow! I have never seen that version!

    very rare!

    Ian looks so young!

I am glad I got to meet Echo in person!

    amazing lads!

    paul

  • hahahaha he's got the "Flashdance thing going on. Brilliant!

  • Quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can tell they were influenced by The Doors, I love The Doors..so thats probably why I love Echo so much.

  • at 4:25 one of them men is my dad and i'm soooooooo embaressed

  • Why embarrassed? If he were dancing to Boney M I'd understand but having a dad who liked Echo and The Bunnymen is just cool!

  • Fantastic, Larks in the Park were the best free concerts ever, still go and see The Bunnymen and they're still the best

  • alright i'm just gonna go ahead and say this

    is this song about masturbation?

    is this a stupid question

    someone answer this question

i mean i guess it's not such a dumb question or assumption either to think it may be about masturbation doing it clean you know what i mean? don't call me stupid if this is a stupid question

  • Its about doing heroin. The lyrics are originally " I've got a hand full of shit..." , shit being street slang for heroin.

  • It's funny to hear this band called "ahead of their time." In the late 70s/early 80s, their late 60s influences were so apparent that they were referred to as part of a "psychedelic revival." The band themselves cited the Doors as a major influence.

  • mabbe so ,but many american 60s bands were influenced by the beatles and other british bands so you could say it came full circle, then again the beatles were influenced by american pioneers like buddy holly and skiffle originally amongst others, dont think any band thats hasnt been influenced from what came before

  • echo and the bunnymen had there roots coming out of erics, the punk venue in liverpool ,with the likes of teardrop explodes julian cope, wah heat with pete whylie.pete burns and other liverpool groups stemmed from that era,ive never heared of the bunnymen part of a psychedelic revival, late 70s early 80s in england the scene was dominated mainly by the two tone, ska ,mod revival, and new wave bands, before new romantics,so to many, echo and the bunnymen were doing things differently, their way

  • i can see the connection with the doors ,they did a great verion of "people are strange"

  • V FOR VENDETTA

  • awesome. Echo the best ever and they still are!

  • the doctor does it again well done sir good luck to the scousers in euro final keep the union flag flying from a hammer

  • do it clean..... one of my favorites

  • BEST EVER !

  • mac and some nipple action!!! ha-ha-ha lol...

  • looks like Sefton Park, brilliant, the musics good too.

  • So far ahead of their time. Wish I could find the studio video version.

  • On the album Songs to learn and sing, a 1985 compilation. Don't know if it is still available.

  • wow this is awesome!

  • Great stuff. Thanks for posting that. Now all we need is the Royal Albert Hall version of this from 1983...

  • So the "Shanker" there is Ravi Shanker? I was wondering who that guy was.

  • Not Ravi! Ravi plays sitar, this is L. Shankar who worked with Peter Gabriel, Yoko Ono et al. He's no relation to Ravi, so do not confuse him with Norah Jones...

  • Great Rare Footage!

Thanks for posting all of these clips!

    Bunnylove!
