  • why such poor vid quality?

  • the plastic thing is prolly a hotshoe cover which is the thing for the speedlight

  • D3/D3s/D3x- Pro

    D700- Semi Pro/Pro

    D300 - Semi Pro

    D90 - Semi Pro/Advanced

    D5000- Advanced/Entry Model

    D3000- Entry model

Just thought i would clear that up.

  • D300 is a semi-pro camera. On a different note, a lens shroud??? wtf, you'd think the guys would know about the product they are unboxing. Otherwise I will just start videos unboxing useless stuff like a pair of trainers, or M&Ms! LOL

  • i have the d90, im assumiing the strap is the same, and on the d90 its very comfortable! but maybe thats me!!

  • D:

    My dream ! D:

  • You should have gone straight to the D80. I just sold my D40 and got a D80. Glad I did. Much better camera.

  • I just can't make myself like this camera. I almost bought this one, but opted for the Canon 40D, even over the D90. The D80 was and is a great camera but Canon just seemed to outdo the D80 and the D90, even with the HD video. However, the D300 is a beast and should def. be considered over the 40D or 50D.

  • You cant match d80 with a canon 40D, d80 is a more amateur camera and the 40D is semi professional.Try to compare D80 with canon 400D, and the Canon 40D with the nikon D300.

  • hmm...but the D300 is much more professional isn't it? There aren't any auto modes on it EXCLUDING Programmed Auto. Whereas on the x0D series there are still scene modes. I think the D300/700 goes against the 5D Mark II, right?

  • I do not own any of these i have D80, but D300 is only a little bit better than the canon 40D, i watched a plenty of reviews. So the D300 and the 40D are both semi-professional cameras. But the 5D Mark II is a professional one with 21 MPixel sensor, it would go against nikon d3 , but still far from d700.

  • hmm...but user experiences vary don't they? You can't just rely on reviews. I mean, i've watched and read some reviews of the Canon EOS 1000D and used it fully and my experience was quite faraway from what they said. Even my D90 surpasses what i read and watched.

  • Ye mostly, but D90 surpasses 1000D althought they are in the same bracket of cameras.Even with relying on reviews i still can tell that d300 is far from Eos MKII 5D.

  • The 40d is actually amateur in comparison with the d300. The d300 is much more customizable, which is what you get with a semi pro body. and the 40d is closer related to a d90 or so, the new 50d is closer related to the d300.

  • awsome

  • You are really HUGE dude!

  • and its hot

  • Where did you purchase it from ?

  • dude is that true?

    D90 for $499?

    WOW!

  • lol No the d90 is 899 just for the body.

  • and this piece of plastic haha

  • there's no d90 outfit? its only the d80?

im cofusse, i want buy the d90, d80 outfit or the canon eos 50d, wich u recomend me?.. :/

  • i love this camera, and ur sexy men

  • does the cam comes with vr?

  • Gonna get my one this week...

    And i looove unboxing vids...

  • I ENVY YOU :(

  • OK...but kinda rough demo. BTW, the "eyepiece blocker" has a definate important use.

  • im almost positive its not an eye piece blocker i dont know if your being sarcastic or what but its a hot shoe guard

  • Not being sarcastic at all...just factual. It IS an eyepiece blocker...in your demo the hot shoe guard is already attached when you removed it from the box!! The eyepiece blocker is important to use when the photographer is away from rear of camera as you will get a false exposure reading with the sun streaming in the rear. Also, the lens came with a "lens hood", I've never heard anyone (except here) call it a "lens shroud". The D-80 is still a wonderful camera (now replaced by a D-90).

  • oh my mistake and yea lens shroud is a little unusual and yes the D80 is a great camera and is still a great camera especially if you dont have a need for the hd video feature

  • The Circuit City by my house is selling these outfits for $810.

Ohhh I cant wait to get it!!

  • The D3 is for people who work with photo!! The D80 is a Camera for people who have a d40 or d60 and want to upgrade!! exuse my english :/ im swedish :)

  • nice unboxing

  • nice unboxing?

  • lens SHROUD... lol they should name them that. Shroud sounds so much cooler than hood.

  • oh my godddd i want one so badd!!!

    D:

    great video..OF MAKING ME JEALOUS!!

    ;)

  • lol, i want the new canon eos

  • does it have a video/movie mode?

  • ?????

    wtf

  • don't think so

  • don't think so

  • NO IT DOESNT GUYS!!

    lol wow.

this is a camera for pros. not myspace.

  • this camera is not for pros it's for beginners my d3 is for pros

  • oh wow.

so this camera is for amateurs??

    no i dont think so!!!

    lol

  • this camera has minimal settings, but can still take good photos

  • USCG are a bunch of poons.

  • why

  • are u even in the coast gaurd?

  • ya and GAURD is actually spelled GUARD

  • See what I mean? Annoying little poon.lol Take it easy i was joking with you. I always give coast guard guys a hard time, my dad retired after serving over 20 years. I grew up around the uscg. i have a lot of respect for them.

  • Its not for pros and not for beginners. just right in the middle for normal people who want excellent photos. But yeah the d3 is for the pros. its like $5000 :0

  • Yes you are correct. The d80 is an excellent camera for those who want a stepping stone before committing to a pro camera like the d3. However, this camera is not for nubes! It is an advanced camera but not a pro camera. If you are a nube and would like to get a d80 anyway, then I strongly recommend you take formal courses in how to use your camera or you'll only be getting about 10 dollars worth of use out of a 1,200.00 piece of equipment.

  • what camera do u have

  • but new d90 has

  • People who buy professional dslr for amateurs read the info and analyse every specification in details, because leaving a camera is the same thing as leaving your shoes at home.

    eat less, read more... ;)

  • one detail: a camera does not 'sync'. That's what ipods and pda's do. The usb connection can only be used to download images to your computer.

  • Thanks for your time to tell us what comes in the box that way I make sure to check my box with the right items.

  • Thats like saying I can't comlain about bad pizza because i didnt know the box was made in china...

  • actually you could if you were a qualified pizza reviewer.

Im simply saying one should do camera reviews if they cant even name the lens.

  • when did neck strap comfort begin to relate to lens type?

  • I bought mine for £450.00 sterling MINT! HARHARHAR

  • what a sucker

  • ciccione!ita

  • what a noob

  • Neat idea for your 15 minutes of fame i guess

  • the camera is a grand and the lens is 400 so if you wont this kit buy it as a kit and save some money

  • what?! how come my d80 outfit didn't come with a screen protector? werid.

  • It's pretty clear that this guy does not own the D80. Quit telling us what's in the damn box and get to the selling point and review the damn camera.

  • nickster - notice how the name of the show is UNBOXING LIVE? It isn't a review show. The point IS to tell you what's inside the box. If that isn't your cup of tea, please feel free to move along...

  • LENS HOOD, lol yeah the sholder strape is bad. the eye peaice protecter is useless.

  • Petia - guess what - it wasn't an ad :P

  • worst ad ever, the guy dont know nothing about Dslr's cameras???

  • The "eye-piece blocker" is intened to prevent light seeping through the eye piece into the camera, disturbing long-exposure, night-time shots.
