last year my sump pump in our house broke. the actual motor snapped in half. I just got an old sump from the farm and slapped it in there aha works great!
My Mothers house has a sump pump. Spent many a nights bailing water in 5 gallon buckets when the electricity goes off during a storm. I guess we should get a generator big enough to run the pump and TV. Rather boring when the lights are out, but I sleep good as long as the TV remote is in the right hand, TV on or not.
