  • I don't generally comment on YouTube videos, but this (2:50) is one of the most ignorant statements I've ever heard. It's extremely sickening and I have nothing but terrible, terrible things to say about it.

  • fuck lily and put milly on

  • lilly is milly

  • I love sesame street!!!!

  • having worked in several schools....look in the trash can....the number of people on food stamps? this is nothing but bull...oh yeah i worked in the soup kitchens in St. Vincent De Paul and Salvation Army....being poor i had lunches made by mom everyday....more government BS

  • Sesame Street, Lion King, and Dexter taught me English ^-^

  • Every ones sorry milly

  • Milly will know about lily....

  • How ignorant can Ben get? I cannot see how he never seen or met any hungry people. I visited L.A. last summer, and I seen people out at night begging people for money. I even had someone come up to me asking for money or any sort of food. I work in a convenient store in a poverty area, and at least once a week, I have someone coming in asking for any leftover food that they could get. Though I may not be comfortable giving them money, but I don't give it a second thought about giving them food.

  • ooosnap. milly isn't gonna like this!

  • When I was young Sesame Street was awesome! But now not so much.

  • Rape: there are jobs out there if you look hard enough. There is just as much turnover at businesses as always.

  • You can tell that this new muppet is black. She is like a cousin of Grimace from the ghetto projects.

  • Damn, i should have tuned to Sesame Street for algebra help.

  • There are hungry people in America. Just ask any teacher who has to watch their students beg for lunch money or have no food at home. Look at the statistics, food insecurity is a real definition of those families that lack of enough income and other resources for food. Unfortunately there are a lot of those in America and growing

  • Ben, what are you on

  • People are in dire straights mostly because of choices. People choose to live on government assistance because they won't work or relocate to where the work is more plentiful. Then you have women who can't keep a man or pick one who's worth a crap. Funny how dead broke mexicans can come over find work and raise their families. If your kids hungry it's your fault...

  • @150grnballistictip "because they won't work or relocate to where the work is more plentiful." what jobs, and sorry I can't afford to move to china.

  • Get Cenk here

  • i didnt speak it either going into kindergarten lol fun times

  • Ben is seriously clueless on this one. Maybe we don't have chronic starvation in this country, but there are many, many children who go to bed hungry. It's insensitive to suggest otherwise.

  • isnt grouch homeless and hungry. do they really need a new one

  • Ben, when I was a kid there was a time were my family was extremely poor and we went to bed hungry a few times and looked for change around the house to even buy a sac of rice. Yeah, some kids are starved

  • @lostchild06 where*

  • @tommygreatsouthern How's the trolling going?

  • I've only been watching TYT for a few weeks, but I'm really starting to get tired of Ben. Such an asshat.

  • Ben's a real dipshit sometimes. I've known hungry kids and guess what? Because of people with Ben's attitude they never admit it to anyone. They're ashamed, believe such things shouldn't happen here and thus won't seek help or give voice to the issue. Of course he hasn't "heard" about it. And talk about hypocrisy, wasn't he complaining about Americans getting their news and formulating their opinions via informal sources like word of mouth over research like what he just "chose" to not believe?

  • I would love to hear Ana speak Armenian. Fuck that would be hot!!!!

  • Hey Sesame Street, how about letting Katy Perry be on the show?

  • Why the hell is Ben even on this show?

TYT, he's bringing down your rep. He's such a moron.

  • There is no absolute poverty in the U.S., but there is relative poverty. Take a sociology class people. I spend a lot of time with the homeless and no one I've ever met is in absolute poverty, go to Africa and then talk about starvation!

  • the young turks suck

  • Bens creepy.

  • Ben has no clue how much of a douche he sounds like sometimes (I mean often).

  • What the hell, Ben >.<

  • Ben, there ARE people who go hungry in this country. There are people who will eat only one or occasionally no meals a day so that their kids can eat. There IS real hunger. I can introduce you to people. I work with the poor and homeless. I've been in homes where the frig is empty! The food cabinet is empty. PLEASE educate yourself on this. I can find people in LA who do the same kinda work and they will help you to meet people so you can understand.

  • The thing is, what we consider to be "poor" in this country is actually, by comparison, pretty good living compared to poverty in its truest form. The "poor" still eat; they may not be eating as well, or as healthy as someone who can afford the time to purchase and prepare better meals, but they still eat.

  • @Joyness333 "but they still eat"

Nope. Something else you are missing is transportation and lines of communication. The #1 roadblock is the inability to drive and/or lack of a vehicle to take you to a destination. In order to get a (1) meal you are going to have to go way the fuck out of your way to get it, or more likely some kind of voucher for one. You may even have to set up an appointment. Hell you may not even know that is an option, after a fashion.

  • She does not agree with him, her demeanor changed greatly....Who is that guy?

  • Man, what's the deal with Ben. He needs to take some time off from the show. He's way off his game right now. I thought the Erin Brunett crap was due to a crush he had on her, but here he is again saying something ridiculous.

The video was saved for me by Ana's interesting story about learning English through Sesame Street.

  • OK, Ana, that's the third time I've had to sit through your Sesame Street story. Enough.

  • whats with the hyper sensitivity over what Ben said? No one in the US starves to death is his point. Dont get your panties in a bunch.

  • Ben just reminded me of rush limbaugh.

  • @macgeek2004 I also studied psychology in college, including the meanings behind certain facial experessions. Apparently you failed to notice how this muppet has been given sullen, downcast eyelids, made notable by their color, contrast with thick eyelashes, and the indistinctness of her eyes when compared to other muppets (Elmo), along with makeup-related steryotypes that could arise. An even more alarming notion is that Elmo bears a similar facial expression only when sad or upset.

  • people hate ben, people love ben, thats cool

  • when will this episode air?

  • Ben's a douche.

  • ...or race. But no, in all seriousness. Doesn't this kinda remind you of when they added that Hispanic dinosaur to Barney to teach racial equality? Lol!

  • OMG...they created a new Muppet on Sesame Street named "Lilly the poor kid." ROFL!!! I'm sorry, I know how serious this is, but that's just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fucking funny!

BTW, look at the picture if thar muppet again. Also look at her color, face shape, placement of the eyes, nose, etc., you can just tell they spent WEEKS trying to make sure that there was NOTHING that could even hint at just an illusion of a sterotype! Lol

  • @macgeek2004 I disagree. If that were the case they would more than likely have given the muppet race-neutral hair and hair color, e.g. a hair color and type that can appear among any race. As a person of mixed race I can tell you that the muppet's thick, multi-colored hair is representative of many blacks I've seen with black dreadlocks dyed a lighter color. Not saying this was INTENDED, but not saying that it WASN'T either. Nobody knows for sure except the creators, who will never admit to it.

  • This is fully the most foolish thing I have ever seen on TYT.

  • Ben DOES NOT GET IT

  • Wow, Ben. What a disaster.

  • So it comes to this T_T

  • I don't like this Ben guy. How do you possibly think that people are that poor and "super poor", but they could afford all the food they need? Saying there's not a hunger problem in the US is like saying there's not a political problem in the Middle East. You're a moron. You're entitled to your opinions, but you're quite wrong a lot.

  • how did ben not know this? she said this story before ._.

  • There is certainly some hunger as a result of inadequate food stamp allocations and mismanagement of them at times by the parents.

  • Starvation is very rare in America, but children do go hungry...

  • @TheDisturbism solution: have fewer children.

  • I agree with Ben. I went to a school where at least 50 percent of students were below the poverty line. They weren't starving. We didn't have free lunch either, eating at school was not the meal they depended on.

  • Ben, mostly you have some good comments however, this one, bud...uhhh so basicaly you're point is that unless our children are at the same level as those in more extreme forms or gradients of poverty than we don't have a problem or at least our kids are not going hungry...it's like saying we don't have poor because the poor have refridgerators. It's about recognizing the strat that exsists between the extremes and the advances we made and the regression that's occuring. Idon't want to be Africa

  • Ben, you are wrong and you are an idiot. When people are living on less than 800 calories a day because they can't afford more then they are HUNGRY. I hope he comes on camera and offers an apology for his ignorant remarks because this has to have ticked a lot of people off.

  • Ben!

I can't believe you take on this. If you are living below the poverty line you are by definition not able to afford the food you need.

There's a difference between hunger and starving. You can be hungry and still getting food everyday. You just might not get enough to develop properly or live for a long time. But you wouldn't be starving. What you're TRYING to say is that we don't have starving people. But seriously dude, we have lots of hunger in this country.

  • Sesame street?! You mean COMMUNIST STREET!!!!

    It's all a liberal lieeeeeeeeeeooooiiiooaaaooouuuum!!!11!!1!!!

  • Ana really should get around to learn to speak English properly. Perhaps she needs to watch more Sesame Street?

    ... just pulling your chain...

  • No, Ben is absolutely right. Americans don't know what it is to be suffering from hunger, but yes our citizens eat the crappiest shit ever.. it's often the cheapest. And with the way the economy is now, Americans are doing their best to save as much money as they can.

  • Lots of people learned English from Sesame Street. Sesame Street rocks.

  • I think what ben was getting at was that you can get a meal easy for 69 cents at mcdonalds, but it will be shit for you. I Think Ben wasn't saying that there isn't hunger at all, but that malnutrition was a much bigger issue.

  • @TheIronweasle you cant buy anything at mcdonalds for 69 cents. let alone a meal.

  • The entire population of the USA is food insecure in the broader picture. We are 1 wide spread crop failure(s) from showing Americans what it's like to really struggle. Those struggling now will be the walking dead in America. Corporations have a stanglehold our food chain & they are angling to get the same on our water supply.

  • @donyunger You are boarder line quacking.

  • I feel bad for Cookie Monster. He's already been told cookies are a "sometimes food" and now this. Family guy was right.

  • No one is hungry in this country? LOL. I recently bought some groceries for my neighbor who lost 40 pounds over the summer because their unemployment ran out. The problem with starvation is it consumes quickly, people die in emergency rooms of 'ailments' triggered by sudden starvation, but they might not be skeletal or obviously starved. Others may die of expired or rotten food from dumpsters. But this isn't 2009. People ARE getting fucking hungry in this country.

  • @Di0genesus Can you please demonstrate that with statistics? I would really like to know the percentage of people of die of starvation? I don't want anecdotes or you asking me questions...I want evidence.

  • @theUSER101

Mr. "Disaffected statistics man" - you can go to that "scary" part of any city and meet those "homeless people". A lot of them don't eat for days. Many end up in the hospital or die on the streets with...wait for it...conditions like I mentioned in the previous comment. If you want statistics...too bad. This is America. Negative statistics are censored here because it's bad PR. If you don't like that, keep your head up your ass and pretend education means something.

  • @Di0genesus Why are you quoting weird shit? "scary" so it's scary...but....not scary. "homeless" they are homeless....but....they aren't really homeless, they just don't have a home haha WTF?

So because negative statistics are censored and no one knows about them.....therefore homeless people do in fact die of starvation in America from...wait for it..."conditions"...."conditions" that are unspecified, unheard of....just "conditions." I love conspiracy theorist logic!

  • Ben has a point; no matter how poor we Americans are, it's nothing like the African situation. There are homeless shelters and food stamps here, etc.

  • @ashantifan1224

You're rather sheltered. Homeless shelters can't even hold 5% of the homeless population in a given city in full capacity. Food banks are sparse and Snap benefits aren't even being offered to the unemployed who can't find work at least 20 hours a week. Sure, you'll see the obese in welfare housing, but you won't see obese homeless people carting around on mobility scooters. There's a welfare class, then there are the real poor, and the real hungry.

  • Seventeen million kids? This clip was really hard for me to watch. I’m the guy who walked into a Cynthia Davis’s found raiser at a religious book store and challenge her about her about cutting school lunch programs for children and then later stating that “hunger makes kids work harder” Sesame street is a great program for kids but it saddens me that it has come to this.

  • food insecurity...food sovereignty... read the food wars by walden bello.

  • I swear to god, this is the second time I've heard that story about Ana learning english.

  • @CordLessAccount she didn't go into as much detail the first time but yea she's mentioned it before.

  • @JReece3000 haha I was just kidding around, just really sure I've heard this a bunch of times before :P

  • I have worked with people who went to bed countless nights being hungry coz they did not have anything to eat for dinner. Many kids get lunch at school and they don't eat much more than that for the day. Unfortunately, Ben is just another American privileged enough to live in a sort of bubble not dealing with anyone who goes to sleep hungry.

  • Ben is very sheltered.I'm sure all those hungry people are glad you and Ana are so food secure.

  • Does Sesame Street really have the right to talk about poverty when one of their characters lives in a trash can?

  • @exacerbatedtaboo Oscar the Grouch is propaganda to teach small children to be afraid of homeless people.

  • @exacerbatedtaboo It's a lifestyle choice.

  • @exacerbatedtaboo

He totally chooses to live in that trash can!

  • @exacerbatedtaboo It's the muppets, don't think too hard about it.

  • I think Ben is confusing hunger with starvation.

  • @sdrawkcabgnipytmi wtf if you're hungry, book a table at a restaurant and order a meal.

  • He's spoiled

  • This guy is fucking clueless.

  • this guy really needs to get out there and listen to some of the stories from the hungry kids themselves... OMG how stupid to think that people let alone kids go with out 1-2 even 3 meals a day. Some children just drink warm water or water from the school fountain just to get something in their stomaches. I suggest you speak to some of the elementary school kids in any economically deprived community so you can get the picture.

  • god her english is good

  • I can imagine Ana counting in a Transalvanian accent...".One....Two.....Three....I love to count.....Four AH AH AH AH AH."

  • My boyfriend was born in the Slum Cité Soleil,In Haiti.

He lived in super, extreme poverty, without indoor plumbing, electricity and infrequent meals.

He was extremely thin and malnourished when he arrived in the states.

I think that Ben was saying that the U.S does not have many people living in as extreme cases as I listed above.

    I do agree with Ben.

I visited Haiti, and I have never seen such horrid, extreme living conditions.

The U.S is hurting in many ways, but we are blessed in comparison.

  • Ive met people who are hungry. The main reason is that their parents spend their money on stupid shit like cigarettes alcohol drugs or expensive clothes and getting their nails or hair done. One kid even got expelled from his school because he was caught 3 times stealing from the caffeteria. He was 14 at the time. Its a damn shame, but it does happen. There are of course cases where the parent just doesnt have the money for food as well. but its not as common from my experience.

  • Sesame Street being a downer

  • #OccupySesameStreet

  • No, no, you're wrong, Ben. Ride the bus, walk the streets, spend time in poorer areas, and hell, not so poor areas. You'll see people who aren't getting food and are on the brink of starvation - always homeless people.

  • LOL It's interesting how observation can give you clues as to a persons demeanor. Check out the desk. Ana is sitting up with all her papers in a very neat pile. Now look at Ben. Notice that the area in front of him is a big ole mess? heh Tells you a lot about him irl.

  • Sesame Street has addressed death, natural disasters, and bigotry. Sesame Street has taken on some heavy stuff.

  • There are absolutely people who have nothing for dinner but sleep. And in this country there is no reason for that. In this world, there is no reason for it

  • Lili may be homeless... but she can still afford that hoochie looking, electric blue eyeshadow..

  • @you2449 lol shes a prostitute in training

  • I find it sad how people can stuff their face in the u.s. while people can't eat at all

  • You're wrong Ben I can't tell you that from personal experiences as a Kid having to return my new bike so my lazy mom and brother can eat. not once but twice and she wonders why I hang up on her whenever she trys to call. what she thinks I can't remember what happen 17-18 years ago...?

  • Why have we never heard Ana speak Armenian?

  • ....What..the ...fuck...Is this guy fucking retarded? YES, YOU ARE TOTALLY WRONG. PEOPLE STARVE IN THIS COUNTRY WHETHER YOUR RICH, COMPLACENT ASS KNOWS IT OR NOT.

  • In the UK, where we have a similar mindset on how hunger doesn't exist because we have "all this welfare", I spent about 2 months living off:

    Butter. Pasta. Rice. Potatoes.

    Stock cubes for flavoring.

You end up making decisions like buying the 7p pasta because you can't afford the 9p. I once tried to make the money go further by finding even cheaper pasta. It melted in the pot and turned the water to goo.

  • Ana is inspiration

  • Ana's story is so cuteee :)

  • I really hate celebs who waste money on 75. 000 dollar earrings, when the quality isnt even under it... certain celebs should feed the starving innocent kids. Not making 40.million dollar dresses just to throw it away a year later.

    Tax the rich.

  • Sesame Street has done specials on other hard topics like AIDS, and Cancer. I don't see why this is surprising, but I'm happy they are doing it.

  • DOGOOD HERE: Ana You Speak Wonderful English!! :D

  • About ten seconds after 2:25 I could imagine Ana thinking, "Stoptalkingnowstoptalkingnowstoptalkingnow..."

  • Is he dumb of just ignorant about the topic??? Dude, people are hungry in the U.S. I'm actually really disturbed by the fact that people don't know this. Even if you are "food insecure" (which is just another way to sugar coat the topic as the U.S. is quite talented at doing smh) I'm pretty sure your hungry....you don't know where your next meal is coming from. MEANING....you are probably going to miss a needed meal. Therefore, you are hungry.

  • @Divinity89 some people are, some bums are but not usually, very rarely is someone actually hungry in this country, bums get PLENTY of food from people, that is why they always ask for MONEY not food. And be honest, has a homeless person EVER asked you for food? One time in your life? I havent seen or ever heard of one who has. Of course some may not get enough food and go hungry but when was the last time you actually heard a bum die of starvation in this country? We have welfare

  • @DeagleBeagle First, lets clarify what a "bum" is. If your referring to someone without a home that you may come across on the street, I don't believe it is fair to just generally label them all as "bums". A bum is someone who "avoids work and sponges on others". I live in the DC area in which the homeless percentage is outrageous. Being that have spent time studying the causes of homelessness i know that the majority are not homeless by choice.

  • And on your point of welfare, it's pretty hard to obtain welfare when you're homeless and don't have an address. And yes, I have ran into PEOPLE on multiple occasions asking if I could help them because they didn't have any money to feed their children that night.

  • @Divinity89 you just said it, they asked for money, people ask for what they want, if they want food then they'll ask for it, if they want a car they'll ask for a car, if they want money, well, they will ask for money. Have you ever heard of a lie? bums do it all the time to get fools like you to give money to them, sure I could understand you giving them food, but they obviously just want money to buy alcohol/cigarettes or whatever they want. They get plenty of food.

  • @DeagleBeagle Honestly, you don't know WHAT they need unless you are them yourself. Do what you feel in your heart is right. If they're lying thats on them but there's NOTHING wrong with helping someone who you feel is in need. Point blank.

  • @Divinity89

are you ignorant of the fact that we have soup kitchens in this country? churchs always give out food donut shops will give you leftovers at the end of the day you can ask someone for a dollar and go get a hamburger. trust me i have a lot of homeless friends. and even if none of that stuff works for some reason stealing food is easy as fuck. ben is just saying its not like africa where people are actually dying of starvation after not eating for weeks at a time

  • @OrangeSaint420 No I'm not ignorant to the fact that those things exist, I'm very aware. Not all who are HUNGRY are capable of taking advantage of those things. There are a number of homeless people in my area who are mentally ill. No one goes out their way to help those people get to these resources. And just because a person is not dying of starvation does not mean that they're not hungry. No one, no matter where you are, deserves to be hungry. Point blank. That's all that needs to be said.

  • @Divinity89

well the point is that people in this country just dont have a secure source of food but the connotation of calling people hungry isnt like "im hungry" its like people starving to death. even those mentally ill guys eat some time. ive seen homeless people eat raw rabbit meat. actually most homeless people arent even that skinny unless theyre on meth or crack or something which means they have money they arent spending on food. most homeless people are on some sort of drug

  • @Divinity89 Bu bu bu bu bu bu bu bu bu BULLSHIIIIIT!

  • @Divinity89 Shhhh.

  • Well, Ben is up to his ol shitty off the cuff statements again. Wonder if it's seasonal.

  • @theogore yeah he got that every 30 days! It's a biological thing!

    lol

  • @theogore you and divinity89 are assholes; what, he has to be perfect? he has his opinions, let him have'em; he was cautious, he did say some people might disagree with him; cut him some slack sheesh

  • @bbphnix "he did say some people might disagree with him"

Which often means something along the lines of 'but i'm right'. he felt very strongly about what he was saying and went into great detail. There really wasn't wiggle room in that statement.

  • You are very wrong. I remember being a kid and not eating on the weekend and only eating school food...Rethink that idea because I know it has gotten worse since then.

  • @katrinadarksky same here.

  • BEN read Amazing Grace. People are hungry in this country.

  • @unforgivingreality Wow, wait to be a total cunt and assume. I know that personally I WAS HOMELESS and lived out of a car for a while, I didn't have internet access because my library charged for computer usage and I had too much pride to ask my friends.

    But yeah, you understand everything.

  • Is it me or does Lily look like an African American? That's racist!

    Just kidding.

  • @JohnWoo haha its only a matter of time til someone starts bitching about that for real. oh how i hate the world.

  • Don't have kids if you can't afford it. Most of the problems with homelessness and hunger would be solved after a few decades.

  • Why do we have an economic system that allows us virtual world military domination, yet we can't feed a large number of our people? The Dow's high, and Wall Street is making record profits, yet much more of America is below the poverty line. Imperial capitalism, I guess. One that supports war and greed and not compassion.

  • Just b/c you don't know abt it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. 17 mil kids don't have enuf food. Learn 2 use google. That's 4.5 mil more than in 2008. 2009 CBS: "I cry … because I'm hungry,"

Lewis says his stomach gets so empty he feels like throwing up.

"When regular American people think about hunger, they're thinking about a kid that has a swollen belly and flies in his eyes. That is when that's like the point of no return. How bad does hunger have to be before we pay attention to it?"

  • That guy is completely wrong. There is plenty of hunger in America because our system doesn't reward helping the poor because it goes against the tide of imperial capitalism. I'm not even saying eliminate capitalism altogether but the way capitalism works now rewards NOT helping the less fortunate. Just like that vile trader said that he wished for another recession so he could make more dirty money. The wealthy capitalists make money off recessions and wars, not helping the poor.

  • FOOD NOT BOMBS!

  • Ben is ass backwards on this. There was a time when I was waiting for my food stamps to come through that I was going without food.

  • Want to end hunger? End the current system of imperialist capitalism that rewards greed instead of cooperation and compassion and emphasizes war over food. We now have enough food to feed the world over but a lot of that food is thrown out and a lot of grain goes to ethanol for cars and the governments care more about war than feeding the world. We could use the money that goes to warmongering and corporate welfare to feed the poor. But we don't because the rich profit from wars and recessions.

  • How are we "hungry"

When half the country is overweight? Give me a break I can go to mcdonalds and buy 20 chicken nuggets for 4.99, that ain't hunger! The guy is totally right, we need kids to know about proper nutrition, not supposed "hunger" go and buy a 99 cent double cheeseburger I'd you are "hungry". Idiots don't know shit, they don't even know how to define hunger.

  • People, kids in Africa are nothing compared to kids in the states. Sure, there are rare exceptions, as with everything.

  • I like how Americans always justify the war in Iraq under the guise of humanitarianism---yet if America was a truly humanitarian country, why did they refuse to do anything about the 60+ year genocide in Darfur? Why did they spin the Rwandan genocide as a military conflict? Why did they enter SEVEN wars to stamp out communism?

    .

The daily budget for the U.S. military could buy, ship, and install enough wells to solve world hunger on planet Earth forEVER! The U.S doesn't care about anyone.

  • She looks African American

  • Most of those people ARE hungry & only get about 1000 calories worth of food, meanwhile they should be getting 2000. Also it's easier for more people who don't have this obstacle to understand "hunger" than "nutrient deficiency" because it has less syllables.

  • Great, now if Sesame Street would just pull its support from the CVN's anti-gay hate groups, we'd be completely on good terms.

  • @MedievalWerewolf Did you miss the TYT clip covering Sesame Street considering making a gay character? The general consensus of the TYT panel & comments was that it was a poor idea, as homosexuality & heterosexuality is a bit too complicated & mature to be teaching toddlers.

  • @Jex134 That has nothing to do with them supporting anti-gay hate groups.

  • @MedievalWerewolf LMAO so them wanting to make a gay character doesn't negate the hypothesis that they support anti-gay hate groups? If they support anti-gay hatred then why WOULD THEY WANT TO MAKE A GAY CHARACTER?!?! USE YOUR DAMN HEAD!!!

  • @Jex134 Their money says otherwise, dipshit. Either that, or they don't even know. Although I don't see how they couldn't. . .

    Just look up the CVN.

  • I am waiting for the Cons to attack this Sesame Street Hunger Special, calling it the Liberal agenda.

  • Dave Chapelle, "now they teach kids how to judge people and label people." "get a job grouch" lol. Mr. Chapelle, is a genius btw. Don't get me wrong.

  • This man is an idiot, get rid of him and bring back Cenk! He has no idea about anything and is always happy to share his knowledge. This year children in the US are writing letters to Santa Claus asking for food, which has never happened before.

    /watch?v=j_05ZuhqCZM

The story highlights some "good Samaritans" but that's hardly a solution. I doubt it will feed one in ten and problem is growing.

  • "We don't have hunger in this country" Ben, you are way wrong and fucking retarded for that comment.

  • @nataniellek Ben is sort of right. In Third world country there are no help for the poor.In America there are Social Program like Food Stamps,Free Clinic,Salvation Army, and Soup Kitchen which are sponsor by the Government (majority funded) and donations from the public..GOP is cutting these programs. The cheap food in the US are non-nutritional but they will keep you alive.

  • @nataniellek is he?

  • Food Insecurity was the last straw in Egypt, remember this guy? wiki .org/wiki/Mohamed_Bouazizi
