Watching this intro suddenly made me remember the 0's & X's game during the end credits. Strange how the mind works... it has been a few years, though. :)
Actually, Team America was inspired by a long line of British puppet shows, created by the legendary Gerry Anderson, of which this was the very last. For further references in this regard, look up Thunderbirds, Stingray and Captain Scarlett
is there a longer version of this opening where Zelda says something like, "I'll get you Terrahawks!!!" and then she laughs and there are laser noises??????? cause i've heard a version like that..... and, where can i find it again??
This is the best programme ever. I'm possibly the only person in the world who fancies Yungstar; he's cute, in an ugly way. My favourite good guys are Zero and 101, closely followed by Kate and Mary. I still want to be Kate Kestrel! People who diss the show are jealous because they're not as cute as the zeroids.
It's a shame they don't make kids shows like this anymore.
The problem nowdays is that everythings done with computers--its all CGI! CGI! CGI! everywhere. There's so many computor animated films around (Cars, the Incredibles, Ratatoule, etc) these days its very rare to find an original t.v show like this now days.
Actually not only that. Nowadays (well, at least where I live), kid shows are total shit, CGI or not. It's all stuff like Pokémon and the stuff with real people or puppet are just stupid, to the point where the characters sometimes don't even talk and just do weird noises during the entire show. Back in the Sesame Street (or where I live, we also had Passe-Partout), kid shows were good and even teached them stuff.
This sort of thing was massive popular when i was at school. There was this asian show similar to this were a bunch of machines formed this huge robot with an X on his head. It was done with puppets too, any1 know it?
Hey everybody! Today I just got TERRAHAWKS: THE COMPLETE SERIES on DVD! It was at Atlantic Books in Dover and it was half-off ($12.49)! I remember the U.S. end credits with the bouncing Zeroid and the song "Living In The 21st Century." The funny thing was all this time, I didn't know it was the end credits to this show! 10-10!
indeed this reminds me of sunday teatimes.... fantastic..... proper kids telly.... wikid theame music.... havent herd it for 20 years+ brings back great childhood memories!
I loved the zeroids!! I remember that I even used to know them by their numbers, zero was the main one and didn't 101 and 88 appear in the show a lot as well?? Haha. Oh the memories.
Absolutely great. Reminds me of Sunday teatimes. Well worth a watch. Very stylistic. When kids TV was written with some intelligence & didn't treat its viewers as mini morons! Didn't CHiPS follow?
Wow, I haven't seen this intro in over 20 years. makes me feel really old. although to be fair, it's kind of hard to look at now without thinking about Team America
Theme tune reminds me a bit of Airwolf. :)
