I don't hate this game but if there had been an in-game map and maybe a Samus-style x-ray visor to see trap holes in the mansion floors, it could've been much better. The glitches weren't fun either, I fell through stone that was supposed to be solid, and died with a water bubble splash even though there was no water at that location.

This game had the potential to be awesome, but thanks to obscure villagers who said a bunch of inintelligible crap and impossiblle clues to decipher...(duck in front of the big rock>??? wtf!!???) this game was just annoying. I think I would have preferred dumb castlevania over the original. That said, Castlevania 1 is one of the best games ever made.

Thanks! Yeah, I love that dialogue with Dracula. There was lots of crazy dialogue in PS1 games of that era, including Resident Evil 1. Yeah, I added that "You're screwed!!" thing as a nod to your video, which I think is awesome.
