  • @mr03tokyo If only Dreamcast should've lasted.. 2 or 3 more years:

Shenmue 3&4 , MSR2 Online, Virtua Tennis 3 Online, Propeller Arena 2, Sonic Adventure 3, Jet Set Radio Future, Sega GT 2, Virtua Striker 3, Daytona USA 3, Scud Race 2, Virtua Fighter 4, Panzer Dragoon Saga 2, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Sonic R 2, Skies of Arcadia 2, Capcom Vs SNK 3, Quake 4 Arena, Unreal Online 2, Counter Strike, Phantasy Star Online 3, Ferrari 2, New Rez, Space Channel 3, Ikaruga 2, Ecco 2, New Lemans 24, and so on

  • Great game!

  • These graphics are still looking amazing even nowadays.

    DC ftw.

  • is favourite game of my childhood. So many good memories connected with this game but driver was so f_cking bad

  • use brakes XD

  • omg omg these graphics.. way ahead of it's time

  • the cars sounds like bees

  • Thanks for the video, guy!

  • HEY SEGA LETZ MAKE DREAMCAST2, fuck old times :')

  • WEY HEY lmfao oh god the memories :(

  • "Japanese narrator" - bubururubuururur TECHNO-TRANCE!

  • lol u sucks

  • my dreamcast days miss me

  • i miss my dreamcast days

  • fuck me :( memories :( <3 the music doesnt help

  • still got this game and my dreamcast

  • One of the best racing games of all time.

  • Sad that Bizarre was shut down...this was one of their best ;_;

  • Original Metropolis Street Racer is better than it`s XBOX -sequels, but the time zone -feature forced us to play the game on day -time rather than freetime at night, in order to see some tracks that aren`t dark...

  • Anyone know what the song is? It's great!

  • @azn069 Richard Jacques - Club Paris

  • @GonoManiax Yeah, I found the song literally right after I posted here. Thanks!

  • @azn069 yea i have always been looking for the soundtrack of this game.

  • @RDpapichulo Hey I can help you out, I have the full soundtrack for MSR.

  • @azn069 Yea hook me up, thanks!

  • It was really like it is in reality... I want to play it again hehehehe

  • @Surronded i started playing it a few weeks ago ( im on the 13th chapter)

For me this is still the best racing game around!

  • That were such great graphics at its time!!

There may have been a lot of crap and mediocracy in DC - but also one or two dozen games, which really pushed gaming forward and being outstanding till today!

And thats what makes it a legend...

  • this was my favorite racer on the dreamcast the music was awesome and it was such a calm feeling game

  • @ShinAkuma21 You are so right! A great game!

  • Wow... it's been 9 years that i first played this game... and it stills looks good;1 I think i have never had so much fun with a racing game... wait.. Burnout 3... but MSR is one of the best.. of all time!

  • No way, this game looks like Project Gotham Racer - Even the map design...

    And they later developed PGR

  • The thing I loved about this game was that I would be playing it in the UK and it would be the same time of day in London in the game as in real life, and also reflect the real time of days in San Francisco and Tokyo. In PGR (and others) time of day is preset. Thus the PGR games are a step back from MSR. It still looks great now and still oozes atmosphere. Also, the music is composed for the game and not just lazily slapped on as it is in the PGR games.

  • old good game, easy for me

  • PGR 3 and 4 are good games. but MSR was more difficult and more fun, more tracks, better music, more feeling in steering. And MSR still look almost as good as them. Sega Dreamcast was ahead in everything., Sony ruined SEGA.

  • This man's voice Japanese DJ? Does not resemble Shinjuku at all.

  • Why is it called a "Wey hey!"? That's the gayest name for a drift I've ever heard.

  • @Idolores lol its obvious youve never played this game before.

  • @Mofoe2001 Troll harder, nigger.

  • @Idolores Only on youtube.

  • whats the car that u used

    ?

  • Mitsubishi FTO

  • PGR was an amazing game and sequel to the Bizarre Creations Studio franchise but MSR is where it all started for me, what an outstanding game of that time, totally class and immersive1 Bring back the good old days and all night gaming, ahh...

  • this was ahead of its time as was the Dreamcast, great game, great graphics

  • spot on!

  • @plane15 Not really, NFS Porsche 2000/Unleashed was, me and my father still play it a lot on the PC. I do however agree about the Dreamcast.

  • Is PGR -1 hahaha, i wanna PGR 5...

  • wat music is?

  • I wish they would make a MSR2 instead of continuing on the PGR series IF they make a new one. If for nothing else than just as a reminder of where it started.

  • @Tavecy666

licensing issues prevents them using the MSR name thats why they used PGR

  • @Tavecy666 Good thing the PGR series is very much in line with what MSR started, esspecially the first PGR. That felt like a sequel to MSR in every way imaginable.

  • I agree, PGR is cool and I do enjoy it but MSR gave me days upon days of fun on my dreamcast.

  • This game was so lovingly crafted. I never came close to enjoying PGR as much as this. I think the problem was that MicroSoft used a collosal number of testers and the PGR games were changed and compromised to have as broad appeal as possible. With MSR, the developers just built the game they thought people would enjoy and it has a real spirit to it as a result.

  • men I love that first song you hear on the radio in tokyo. I always put it on a cd in the game to listen in every city to it.

  • Good graphics good game shit car sounds

  • i hate racers, but i played msr til my fingers bled...damn that was the best time of my life when this console/game hit the market.

i want that times back :(

  • God i miss this games soundtrack.. some of the best techno and drum n bass ever made here.

  • This kick started PGR, but the only one I rate is PGR 3. MSR was decent, the DC was quite poor for racers. I'd say this was better than SEGA GT.

  • Sega GT was horrible. My word the handling... especially on the cars you could "create". D: I thought this was good fun, though!

  • I disagree with that myself. With Sega Rally 2, Vanishing Point, Daytona USA, This, F355 and Le Mans amongst others, I think it was a fine machine for racers. And of course fighters and Shoot 'em up games too. There is a new DC racer on the way soon too - Rush rush rally racing :D

  • I forgot to mention Le Mans....

  • I used to cheat in one of the tracks in San Fransisco that had wide roads...drive up and down while S-Drifting till I had a large amount of Kudos to pass the later races. Getting Kudos and keeping them during a race was a bitch >:\...you always had some idiot get in your way of your perfect drift.

  • exelen game y loved tihs ym from argentina jaja rmemeber y recoding her music on cassette jaajaa and listen today jaja

  • My favorite game with Japanise cars!!! like Mitsubishi Evolution IX and Supra!!!

  • man this game rocks were did sega go wrong

  • Man this game has the incredible idea of "World time" but, the bad idea of how you win "kudos", but not at all.

What i unlike is, when you lose some race, you lose kudos, it would be better only if you NOT WIN, so trying many times to get the top points(kudos) for each race...

because ou already now the "limit" of Kudos for each challenge that is shown on the challenge select menu.

  • Metropolis is a legent of gaming..

  • are you playing in DC o a Emulator?

  • DC.

  • this was my game

  • First choice in my DC collection :-)

  • And the skyline was a 6.0...so that would be the best in terms of CPF. But okay i'll rephrase my sentence...Chimaera was my favourite!

  • 6.0? Hmm... not really sure about that. Been a long time since I've played this.

My fave was the GTO, the 300Z, the Supra and the Evo IV. Actually, all the Jap cars :))

  • The drift at 2:26 was sick. Whats ur favourite car?? TVR Chimaera is the best car there.

  • The Chimaera? Isn't it the R34 man....? The CPF of the R34 is 5.0. And as far as I can remember, the Chimaera had CPF 4.9.... hmmm.
