  • I like the owl xD

  • 1:30 so cute!

  • it's strange to hear an occidental animation dubbed in japanese, usually it's the oppisite! xD

  • Don't get me wrong, I did rather enjoy it; tho it strongly reminds me of Susan Strong's song from Adventure Time.

  • oh my GOD. as if i'm watching anime!

  • the prince's voice is soooo romantic~

  • The original is usually the best! For this movie that rings true but this does run close in second! =)

  • @junkie1209 Agreed

  • I don't know if this has been said already, but there are minor mistakes in the lyrics. Here's the corrected version:

Anata wo itsumo yume ni mite

    Sono hitomi sae totemo natsukashii

Yume wa maboroshi tatou iu keredo

    Demo wakaru anata koso

    Aishitekureru

    Ano yume to onaji ni

  • sorry, it's quite hard to read...

  • I really adore sleeping beauty... Down below is a minor correction for the lyrics :) Anata wo itsumo yume ni mite Sono hitomi sae totemo natsukashii~ Yume wa maboroshi datou iu keredo Demo wakaru anata koso Aishtekureru ano yume to onaji ni la la la la la la Demo wakaru anata koso Aishtekureru ano yume to onaji ni Anata wo itsumo yume ni mite Sono hitomi sae totemo natsukashii~ Yume wa maboroshi datou iu keredo Demo wakaru anata koso Aishtekureru ano yume to onaji ni.

  • I just realized that her feet are really tiny and dainty and that in this scene her skirt is below her knees and never shows them

  • in giapponese è stupenda *-* mi piace troppo ^^....vabbè che io adoro il giapponese XD

  • Awww, her voice is so cute in Japanese!!! XD

Is it weird that I'm a straight girl and I think her voice is adorable? What the hell, it's adorable, and that's that x]

  • wow they did such a great job picking a voice actress! sounds just like her!

  • philip's voice actor is tooru furusawa

  • cute!

  • I never realized until now how small her waist is. 0_o

  • GOSH! I LOVE THE JAPANESE LANGUAGE SO FRICKIN MUCH!

  • omggg that was so so beautiful.... outstanding.

  • I was surprised as all versions are similar to the original ..

    very pretty ..

course .. I am Brazilian and I prefer the version of my country ...

as every one will like it better that his childhood best reprenta ..

  • If I was that prince and saw her singing to herself and dancing with a bird with a cloak on, I would hightail it out of there.

    Brilliant singing, though.

  • I've loved Sleeping Beauty since I was little, (weeellll, I'm still only 13. xD) But I like this version even better. I think Japanese flows so beautifully. ^^

  • he's the prince charming without a name!!! xD

  • @YukiUchihaxX his name is phillip

  • @YukiUchihaxX Snow White's prince is the one that doesn't have a name

  • this song is perfect for japanese

  • This is WAY better than the original ... who are the voice actors with this wonderful voices?

  • XDD No es común oír disney en japones (al menos para mi) XDD

  • this version's better than the original one..

  • beautiful

  • Such a beautiful voice, the Japanese are superb and matching the voices.

  • カセット版の「い~つ~か~夢見た し~あわ~せをォォ♪」という歌詞とは違いますね。

  • best version for aurora. the english one made me feel uncomfortable, seeing a 16 year old with a 40 year old's voice

  • @TiffoS2 I agree completely! I could never really take the movie seriously, hearing her sound so old. This voice fits her very very well.

  • wow those voices.. wow

  • I love it!!!!

  • wow! in the english verison, she sounds like a 40 year old women, but in this version she sounds like a 15-16 year old teen!

  • Can someone tell me the name of Philip's voice actor? Thanks :)

  • @TildaNighthawk Bill Shirley.

  • あなたをいつも夢に見て

    その瞳さえとても懐かしい

    夢は幻だと言うけれど

    でも分かるあなたこそ

    愛してくれる

    あの夢と同じに

  • mayumi suzuki tiene una hermosa voz!!!

  • Mayumi Suzuki voices Aurora better than Ariel...

  • THIS VOICE SIUTS THE CHARACTER SO WELL! it raelly works

  • Disney always uses solid seiyuu for all their animated movies.

  • i love her wtf expression when she finds out its not the bird lol

  • @tokiopoliceclub

This is Disney - there are no "wtf" moments. ^_^

  • how do they get the voice to sound ESACTLY the same???

  • Aurora singing always sounded much older than 16 in english, but here it's a bit easier to see.

  • Who is Aurora's Japanese seiyuu? She's wonderful!!

  • she's Mayumi Suzuki

  • terrific

  • These Japanese Disney dubs are amazing. They match the tone of the original characters very well. It is as if the English voice actors were taught Japanese.

  • Exactly what I was thinking! Especially Japanese Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.

  • Um... I'm pretty sure this is what I'm hearing: anata wo itsumo yume ni mite / sono hitomi sae totemo natsukashii / yume wa maboroshi da to iu keredo / demo wakaru anata koso / aishtekureru / ano yume to onaji ni TRANSLATION: I always see you in my dreams / Those eyes are very nostalgic / It's said that dreams are only illusions / But I know that you also / Love me / Just as in that dream

  • which language do u guys think is best : English, French, Spanish, or Japanese?

  • I think I like the Japanese version from 2001(this one) the most. Then comes French 81(flows nicely and sounds beautiful, but is also a little bit boring),third are both Spanish dubs(59 sounds a little bit old and 2001 sing s it in a strange way).Last and least are English and French 59 to me,both are way to old and overacted.

Btw the German version is also really nice and worth to have a look at;)

  • french

  • Depends on what you want to convey, really.

  • Japanese! lol

    This song is great.

  • the beginning she says Sono not sou

Now it's corrected.
  • This voice for Aurora sounds amazing! Almost like, as if you were to flick a switch, this would be her automatic Japanese voice.

  • this is wierd lol

  • since the three good fairies had Rose (a.k.a. Aurora) out of the castle for 16 years, i just realized that the fairies didn't do very good at the birthday preparations

  • haaaah?! KAWAIIIIII!

  • aurora is rly pretty

  • Some of the lyrics are wrong.

  • これ16歳なんだよね

    日本ではありえない!

  • i think this is the firt time i see a movie were i like the english version more that the japanese... i mean this version is not bad, its just that the voices for this song are way to awesome in english

  • i think every princess looks beautiful like an angel

  • I absolutely love the seiyuu for Aurora. I thnk she is a beautiful singer, and she sounds like a slightly more youthful version of the english Aurora. Spot on perfect! As for Phillip, I have to say I like english more for his character. Dont get me wrong! I love his voice, but its just not as good as the english version. But the japanese Aurora is outstanding!

  • Aww, I love it!

  • OH MY GOD i know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    it's the weirdest thing.

    makes me kinda sad sometimes

    lol

  • That's so true!

  • @Pos3nSMil3 hmmm....maybe the japanese think this was crappily translated too? :D (probably not though X)].

  • This dub is very old. It just can't be the 2008 dubbing, what has made for the SB Special Edition DVD. I guess it's from around 1965.

  • For some reason I really adore this song in Japanese. More than any other I've heard so far. I think it's Phillip. His voice is really nice.

  • WTF..why are all the comments thumbs down??

  • that was awesome o.O................ lol japanese rox xD haha it sounded kinda uh.... okey

  • whoever her seiyu is she has an astoundingly feminine voice.

  • She sounds like the lady who played Ariel! O_O she's such a beautiful singer.

  • I think I'm addicted to watching all of the old Disney Movies and the numerous translations that have been made. I can't believe how many really. Japanese has always seemed to flow very easily in all of them (I'm American). It sound very good in this one. I think I'm starting to understand the differences between all of the Asian languages. Before they seemed to blend together, but now I can pick up all of the very distinct differences. Can't understand them, but think I can name them.

  • ME TOO! I find myself looking for the different translations and singing to them (if they have the subs). But, I'm Asian-American (Viet). But i'm begining to understand the differences of the other Asian languages too!

  • I know right! I don't sing, I just compare all of them.

  • Thanks. It's probably just jerks abusing the thumbs up/down system.

  • Well, you mentioned the French, so that explains the demerits....

  • True. But all of the anti-Korea comments have like...55 likes.

    Oh the internet...

  • Yeah, the Japanese language has a very fast, very smooth rhythm. It's really hard to learn, because you always have to say everything over and over again before you can achieve that speed.... It's so much fun to speak, though! :D

  • which one ?0.o and it's not north korea's fault its kim jong ill. dahhhhh

  • the norwegian one is really beautiful too :D

  • This might very well be my favorite version of this song.

  • why is it that even the positive comments have so many negative down ratings? That's ridiculous!

  • I think someone's been very, very, very bored....

  • Defiantely....what a loser lol :P

On a positive note, this version is gorgeous!!!

  • Que linda voz!!!.

    :)

  • god, she has a beautiful, clean voice!

  • I was just thinking that!

  • she sounds soo pretty ^^

  • that is awesome!

  • This is too romantic...

  • She sounds lovely in both luanguages

  • Well seiyu (voice actor) is a very popular and attractive job in Japan, so of course they are bound to have lots of professionals. I think Americans, or Western people in general, are more interested in the acting.

  • She has a sexy voice in Japanese!

  • Not sexy. kawaii ^_^

  • Oh how i love these Japanese versions<3

  • Yeah. Kimba the White Lion for example.

  • My favorite would still be the original one, but I guess this one is also pretty great. :3 It's pretty cool...

  • beautiful ♥ and in german too ;D

  • perfect!! XD

  • I like her voice better than the original :)

  • She sounds the best singing this song!!! Truely!

  • Oh ça rends bien, je trouve :3

  • all the different versions of this song are simply great!!! I love it in all languages :D!!

Even tho my favorite is in Spanish, of course ;P

  • Haha, The lyrics are much deeper and meaningful in japanese. I rather enjoy this better.

  • Me too! ^^ Thx for sending this to me Kyouya-sempai. <3 (I didn't know you liked stuff like this......xDDD)

  • haha I know me too!

  • Very cute :)

    (I'm italian)

  • wow, it sounds so original in Japanese!! Japanese are really good in dubbing!!!

  • True, and us who speak English seem to fuck dubbing up

  • XD Tohru Furusawa certainly makes Philip sound old.

  • :D

omg..i remember i hated the english one because it reminded me so much of a cheapy love poem.

But since i heard the japanese version it's so much better, reminds me of something from a carasol! :)

  • She has a lovely voice! (wow, I can't believe I just used the word lovely)

  • touching!! I am interested in other language version.

  • the voices r beautiful! i luv japanese :D

  • I like this 8)Nice voices

  • oooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmgggggggggggggggg this is great!! haha!

  • sounds good, especially prince's voice

  • has escuchar a alguien que ve por primera vez la pelicula esta version y le encantara mas que la version latina del 2000 xD

  • Ah, the cuteness! I was sceptycal at first because it's weird to watch a western fairytale dubbed in a eastern language, but this just won me over x)

  • ohh Dios Mio,

    se escucha tan

    bonito!*!*!

    !*!*!**!*!*!

en Japones y en Español Latino claro!

  • claroo q son las mejores versiones =D!!

  • obviio las mejores versiiones =D!

  • I love this version! :D

But, yet again, she STILL doesn't sound 16 at all. She doesn't even look it. And meanwhile, Phillip was about 5 or 6 when she was born which would place him at about 21 or 22 here. o_O Cradle robber!

  • it was normal in that day and age.

  • Japanese lyrics:

Anata wo itsumo yume ni mite

    sono hitomi sae totemo natsuka-shii

Yume wa maboroshi dato yuu keredo

demo wakaru anata koso aishite kureru

    ano yume to onaji ni

  • UFFFFFFFFFFFFF I LOVE IT!!!!!!

    Her voice is just perfect!!!
