I've witnessed electrical storms in Tampa. There's just something about storms, the electricity in the air, the noise of the wind and the falling drops...just love it.
In the northeast of th UK we don't get many storms, but I can remember being as bad as this in August 2005 when everything went pitch dark and constant lightning flashed. After the storm passed there was over an inch of hail on the ground, and parts of the country were flooded. After the storm passed the sun came out to dry out all the puddles!
is it me..or The US gets lightning like ever second..it's constantly flashin whereas where im from in the Uk,,we only get thunder and like 1 lightning flash in our storm...AMERICA'S STORMS R EPICC!
You can imagine in ancient times when nobody understood lightning that a storm like that would scare the hell out of them. I wish we had storms like that here in London :o(
I was in that thunderstorm... on N.W. 3rd Avenue at N.W. 24th Street there was nothing nice or beautiful about that storm damn near got struck by lightning... which knocked down a tree a block away... easy for you to say.
God we don't get them like that in the UK, well very rarely we do anyway. Beautiful storm though. I don't care what anyone says, you cannot beat the power of nature.
What gorgeous distant CGs...as this was probably the postlude of the well-famed Miami 5/6/07-Tstorm((as many did videotaping of the same huge Miami Tstorm..many KUDOs to all of yous who have videotaped the such incredible lightning show...!!!)) On 7/18/06 I videotaped some awesome lightning here too in southern RI.

I agree - being able to watch really dramatic storms is one of the things I love most about living here in South FL.

o we get alot of thunderstorms in the uk in summer, :)
not like this, we get bad one,s thunder eveyr 3 seconds or so :o shocking, cool, gotta go there and see what it is like :)

ive been to florida twice. i went to orlando they have frequent thunderstorms in spring and summer but its amazing how quick it passes
