The films not being canon is fact tho. Krauser beat Terry in one of those films. Terry never lost to Krauser in canon though.

And not just plot wise but SNK's intention was to have an imperfect hero that they often referenced to and Terry Bogard is still often a big part of their logos becoming the poster boy most look to when they see the SNK logo. Terry is my favorite but there is no debate about him as a character your just showing favortism as a fan. My fav is Iori.
Hey I agree with Kate and Cowboykid. Fatal Fury was the best pltform SNK had going for them, but they decided to let it get swallowed up by King of Fighters. Now, the two baddest Bros. in gaming don't seem to get the attention they deserve.

well, your right somewhat but king of fighters is just a tornament that includes people from fatal fury. It's kinda dumb that though Terry is the strongest that he isn't the main character in KOF.
Terry was only the strongest in FF. & in FF everybody else was weak. FF was so lame. They tried to make him seem unbeatable in FF, but all that did was make his opponents look weak. At least REAL tough guys like Kyo & Ryu don't always have to win in order to look tough. Only cool thing Terry ever did was raise Rock.
Actually Terry was imperfect himself not not ideal to be the tough guy I'd say rough around the edges but the peurpose of jis character was to be sorrowful and someone who others always looked at as having been ill fated in life and thought never to find peace thus that lone wolf name and because he was always faced with a challenger of some sort in dangered hose around him so his charcter spent most of his time alone practicing or fighting.
And FF the people weren't weak thats your opinion and story wise Terry has faced stronger oppenants and much more then people like Kyo. And terry even lost in the cartoon early on to Krauser and was sufficated but not killed by Jamin and the guy with the white hair. Jamin also beat him nearly to death though Terry managed to escape. Terry won the first fight with Geese but barely and it was only through that technique he was taught that trully comes from the persons spirit or will.
Thats why the title mimicked his will "Fatal Fury" And Ryu as a character often wins though he had a few misses and is put into simular situations as Bogard Kyo's abilities are good but he was not designed to be a strong as a fighter and in story wise he isn't the best fighter. Even in the last Fatal Fury game I believe they even said or atleast have said Terry was the king of Fighters many times and the first cartoon revolved around that.
And Terry has done many greater things other than raising rock such as beating Rocks father obviously one of the most powerful bad guys of the snk series of fighting games. And again his story never looses the credit of him defeating a god so there is no doubting his position as the strongest fighter in the series. And is isn't invincible if you payed more attention to him he ften struggles because technique wise he is good but not great but his inner strength was purity.

Now that part isn't mentioned but the rest is but with that said the games are far more non-canon thats why the movies only reflect one aspect of a few fighters from the KOF. They only detract from Terry at times to allow others to have thier own sotries the same way they Rock was the main character in the last FF game to take a little attention from Terry.
The movies are actual canon the games are for the sake of having fun though some things are canon like I said they even revive dead characters and put them in the games as much as any fighting game usually does so the financial reasons because people become accoustomed to the characters and to take someone out somtimes usually at a faster rate would heavily risk lost of fans and money.
In the most serious sence the movies go past the KOF and it has little to do with FF at times. Even if you exclude the movies the plots from 1 and two are still held true. Geese and Krauser were beat by Terry. The stories are also far more structured whereas the game goes over it's own head changing once held truths as non existant in later games. It's a game and usually compared to a novel or movie it less detracts and makes up more to suit for the sake of fun.
1st, we're talking about FF, not KOF. 2nd, as far as canon goes, Games >> movies. Sorry. It's always been like that. Most hardcore Terry fans will be able to tell you what's canon & what's not. Terry had beaten Geese & Krauser in the games BEFORE the movies. That godbeating shit is never mentioned in the games for a reason. You get no mention of Laucorn, or Sulia, or Jamin, or the Mars armor for the same reason. IT'S NOT CANON(& it was lame as hell :))

Falcoon is the worst designer ever. He's ruining SNK. I think Garou was merged w/the KOF canon. Kyo is a great martial artist who fights tougher competition than Terry ever did. Goenitz>>>>Geese or Krauser. Anybody who beats up Kyo would flat out kill Terry. & the breakdancer Kyo whooped Terry's @ss already IIRC. Case closed.

Didn't they just change the ages so they'd(StupidRyo/Terry) would be peers? They've got canon guides for KOF. It's canon. You may be right about the different universes though. What we really need to focus on is that in the universe that Terry(whose long ass ponytail made him look more fem than Kyo could ever be) & Kyo both occupy, Kyo>Terry. I don't like KOF much nowadays either because Falcoon is gaying it up. The Meira's & Ash are the worst characters ever in KOF.

Rugal was pretty damn cool, even if he did borrow from Geese & Krauser. Geese is honestly the coolest SNK boss ever. Sad that he's a jobber for Terry 24/7 & falls off the tower when you look @him too hard. Krauser was just a lousy design. Looks like Rick Rude w/purple hair. Rugal's waay cooler than Krauser & he'd beat the shit out of Geese & Krauser. Possibly @the same time. So would Goenitz. KOF bosses>>>>>FF jobber bosses. I don't like it, but that's the way it is.

Kyo untrained? FYI Kyo's dad trained him in the family fighting style when he was a kid. Kyo's a natural fighting genius & learns martial arts very quickly. He also trained very hard after Goenitz kicked his ass the 1st time they fought. Kyo is hated on cuz he took the spotlight from Terry's gloryhogging ass? WTF!? Terry's the reason why Kim, Joe & anybody else from FF doesn't get enough respect. FF writers were too busy wanking Terry to let them do anything important. &AOF= SF ripoff. Fuck AOF!

I think we are hitting a nice middle ground now.Yeah the crossdressers iN KOF now suck and i will agree that KOF Terry isnt the same as FF Terry.Yeah they are different universes AOF starts in the 70s and becomes FF which starts decades later.KOF mashes them all together for a dream match that eventually became its own continuity

They make characters who'll only fly in Japan & they made a "Stray Wolves" movie about the Americans Terry & Rock, where they only speak Japanese. No English version

Terry was only the strongest in FF. & in FF everybody else was weak. FF was so lame. They tried to make him seem unbeatable in FF, but all that did was make his opponents look weak. At least REAL tough guys like Kyo & Ryu don't always have to win in order to look tough. Only cool thing Terry ever did was raise Rock.

Actually Terry was imperfect himself not not ideal to be the tough guy I'd say rough around the edges but the peurpose of jis character was to be sorrowful and someone who others always looked at as having been ill fated in life and thought never to find peace thus that lone wolf name and because he was always faced with a challenger of some sort in dangered hose around him so his charcter spent most of his time alone practicing or fighting.

And FF the people weren't weak thats your opinion and story wise Terry has faced stronger oppenants and much more then people like Kyo. And terry even lost in the cartoon early on to Krauser and was sufficated but not killed by Jamin and the guy with the white hair. Jamin also beat him nearly to death though Terry managed to escape. Terry won the first fight with Geese but barely and it was only through that technique he was taught that trully comes from the persons spirit or will.

Thats why the title mimicked his will "Fatal Fury" And Ryu as a character often wins though he had a few misses and is put into simular situations as Bogard Kyo's abilities are good but he was not designed to be a strong as a fighter and in story wise he isn't the best fighter. Even in the last Fatal Fury game I believe they even said or atleast have said Terry was the king of Fighters many times and the first cartoon revolved around that.

And Terry has done many greater things other than raising rock such as beating Rocks father obviously one of the most powerful bad guys of the snk series of fighting games. And again his story never looses the credit of him defeating a god so there is no doubting his position as the strongest fighter in the series. And is isn't invincible if you payed more attention to him he ften struggles because technique wise he is good but not great but his inner strength was purity.

And actually the movies described exactly what happeneds with Krauser, Geese, and The Mars plot. They are not non canon as they usually have been mentioned in the game. But since snk got ahead of themselves they had to beaf of the bad guys and try and not focus too much attention on him.

Now that part isn't mentioned but the rest is but with that said the games are far more non-canon thats why the movies only reflect one aspect of a few fighters from the KOF. They only detract from Terry at times to allow others to have thier own sotries the same way they Rock was the main character in the last FF game to take a little attention from Terry.

The movies are actual canon the games are for the sake of having fun though some things are canon like I said they even revive dead characters and put them in the games as much as any fighting game usually does so the financial reasons because people become accoustomed to the characters and to take someone out somtimes usually at a faster rate would heavily risk lost of fans and money.

In the most serious sence the movies go past the KOF and it has little to do with FF at times. Even if you exclude the movies the plots from 1 and two are still held true. Geese and Krauser were beat by Terry. The stories are also far more structured whereas the game goes over it's own head changing once held truths as non existant in later games. It's a game and usually compared to a novel or movie it less detracts and makes up more to suit for the sake of fun.

1st, we're talking about FF, not KOF. 2nd, as far as canon goes, Games >> movies. Sorry. It's always been like that. Most hardcore Terry fans will be able to tell you what's canon & what's not. Terry had beaten Geese & Krauser in the games BEFORE the movies. That godbeating shit is never mentioned in the games for a reason. You get no mention of Laucorn, or Sulia, or Jamin, or the Mars armor for the same reason. IT'S NOT CANON(& it was lame as hell :))

Look on any credible site & they'll all tell you the god thing is not canon. Look at the Garou: Memories of Stray Wolves OFFICIAL 15th anniversary short. It's canon. Made from the games. Geese losing to Terry-mentioned. Krauser losing to Terry-mentioned(Krauser never beat him in canon, like he did in that dumb tornado movie fight). Mars Armor, Sulia, Laucorn, & the rest of the stupid stuff from that waste of film----NEVER MENTIONED!!!! Understand?

SNK controls what they do with their own creation Bogard just happens to be the hero for them overall the same way Ryu is the hero for capcom. The games still hold Terry up as the fighter that isn't the strongest though good but always manages to pull through in the end for well intentions and a lot of heart in the same way a character like Ryu does. It's common for stories for the ultimate good guy to pull through.
