@vfIskullangel as for corvette performance back in the 80s... from 84-87 corvette dominated showroom stock class beating out everything europe... corvette took the series championships with 1st 2 and 3 they were banned and started the corvette challenge in 87 all of that with no factory sponsors GM pulled out of factory racing in the late 60s and didnt get back into racing again until 1999 where corvettes again dominate the track... lambo never one any championships dont believe me, look it up.

i still don't see what's so impressive about these type videos. you drop $30,000 into a gutted out integra that's only worth maybe $5000, and yes... it will be fast. Drop the same relative amount of money into a corvette, viper, etc. and you'll see the same proportion of acceleration...

@jordankade22 The Integra was cheep. the tunning was not. Notice how an old tuned 80s twin turbo corvette spanks it. Even in the race where it looks like the Integra won what actually happen is the integra was pulling at full boost while the vette was just starting to build up boost. Also, just because the Integra slowed down That was not the end of the race. The Integra topped out so it got smoked. Still a nice Integra but I call it like I see it.

The integra also weighs 500 pounds less than the z06 and 600 pounds less than the 94 wich adds up to around 4ths-6ths advantage in 1/4 runs depends on engine also how the torque curve is set up. 4ths is a shit load when speaking of racing its like 3.5 cars lenght

you got your gearing messed up bro, You can do 60 roll in 3rd gear in gsr with rpms at around 5.8, but gsr is a good tranny for boost, ls tranny is good for freeway rolls with big high horspower applications.

Would the Integra be better suited with an SiR or even LS gearbox? I know it would drop out of VTEC but would it be better suited to the turbo's torque and this highway racing?

In this particular race, the LS tranny may have been better, but there's a lot of variables involved. Remember, even though he'll have more gear for topend, the acceleration would have been slower. I would probably still stick with the Type R tranny. I personaly ditched the LS tranny to go with a GSR. Traction off the line will be the same as the LS as the first two gears are the same. I have a built turbo ls/vtec and raised the redline to 9k so the shorter gears won't really effect my top end.

This is a good video, because thats a very new Vette, with close to 400 hp stock, and then twin turbos, and a single turbo, 10 year old integra can almost hang with it. And I Promise the vette has close to 100k invested and you can get an integra that fast for under 20. Thats why i love hondas.

Actually that is a rpo Callaway Corvette built in 1989. 390hp/575tq stock from the factory, now with big intake and exhaust..making around 550hp/730lbft. It does not have $100k invested in it.

The Acura is a pretty impressive car pulling the Viper like that.

Teg didn't look slow to me. Also, to me, it doesn't really matter if your a quarter mile queen, if you can't do it from a roll either, or longer than 1/4, then your car ain't shit. On the highway, nobody gives a shit what your car will do in the quarter mile. You have a 10 second (insert car here), great, you just got beat by an 11 second honda. Talk all the shit you want, just don't try to impress your girlfriend by racing a honda on the highway, you may be in for a surprise.
