what was most interesting was how you exposed the apparatus. soundtrack too. only criticism would be the nature shots. i find handheld sweeping shots of nature are difficult, and are the hall mark of low budget films. this is not a dig you understand. if this was your intention, to facilitate a mood (eg a trip) then i definitely retract the previous criticism.

terrence mallick does nature shots brilliantly, contrasting budgets i know:)

overall, it succeeds in selling it to the viewer.

Well...now you've done it. Piqued my interest. A good preview will do that. As for the film length, start at 7 or 8 and edit it to 5 or 6. I agree, if it is a story, then it's a movie albeit a short movie but a movie nonetheless.

What I did in this preview ?

- Kept all action sounds muted for the sake of surprise

- Made it very short

- Only showed 10-20% of the entire scenes

- Kept all punch sounds hidden (can't give them all now, some of them cost me $3.0 for just one punch sound; GOD they are expensive)

- The sequence of Scene is SCAMBLED (gotta keep the story hidden)

- Didn't have time, uploaded what I finished.

Now it seems to have helped me get some great comments. Thanks guys, but don't you miss the film!!

thanks my friend. it's an encouragement to do better. The enormous support I get from friends like you pushes me to the edge to make even better videos. Some suggested the quality isn't good. It's easy, just need to dump my camcorder that records in xvid format which isn't the solution if you own VISTA. I will probably go find one that records in MPEG4 fomat or better H.264 and often money does come on the way even if you have good ideas!! LOL!

Thanks for sharing your video, thought it was funny in parts lol. The main thing is that you guy's were having fun making it. Just a tip if I may about your slow motion punch. Good method by filming physical contact in slow motion but you just need to speed it up a bit more in editing for real contact effect. Keep them comming.

The classic way to do swards and knives is to start with the object in full contact then quickly swing in the reverse direction. Then in edit backwards or reverse the film.

here is a question. I think not very long to bore you all, but just enough to tell the story. I am thinking about 7 to 10 minutes, may be that would be too long. I think alot of people don't have time to watch a very long videos here on youtube?, but i could be wrong ? how long do you think it should be. if the story calls for it, I think 7 mins should be good enough ? what do you think.
