  • I never played the old Castlevania titles, but always new (and saw) that most of them were great. I have to say the soundtrack of the first scene of chapter 1 from this video surprised me, though! It's really great, even more when considering the game has some years on its back!

  • PSP version of this. just as good.

  • @Argroh No because it's on a little ass screen and it has a horrible controller.

  • its called devil's castle dracula x rondo of blood, or castlevania dracula x rondo of blood in america

  • GREAT CASTELVANIA !!!!!!! LE MEILLEUR

  • Good thing im german and understand this shit :D

  • Yep looks like they are destroying castlevania 2 in the process nice cover up there

  • yea i got it to work ,with the system card 2 i think ,i forget ,it works on my pc and on my nds with nitrografx on my stwo but i cant get the music to work on the ds ,it works fine on the pc,with ootake ,but i cant get it came from the desert workng on ootake ,but i got it to work on another emulator ,forget which 1 , magic engine i think, but not full version,i have an unlocked 1 somewhere

  • also how big is this iso and will i be able to play it/emulate it on nintendo ds using my supercard dstwo and nitrografx or is it impossible ,or would i need another pc engine emulator ,i dont know if nitrografx is the only1

  • i never played an iso with a pc engine emulator ,does it just run it?or do i need to mount the iso image with something ,like daemon tools?i assume i use the system card2 rom right?there is only 1 system card2 right, not a jap and a us is there?

  • @bulletproof2353 If anyone still cares or wonders, you need the Super System 3 card ROM to play this and other Super CD games in an emulator. Since the Super System 3 card will play both regular Turbo CD games and Super CD games, you can dispense with the System Card 2. There are different versions of the card, but when properly dumped, the images are the same because only the pin configuration was different (although some ROMS were not dumped properly). You can play the game with the US ROM,

  • Beware: giant fart @ 2:04!

  • is this the american or japness pc core

  • @rpmmelby It does not make any difference of the console is Japanese or american because u.s. turbo duo will play all games - there is no region lock at all.

  • @cpufightclub actually turbo dou will not play both unless you have tis one add on chip thing i don't know what it is called

  • @rpmmelby Hrmm... my bad. I have rondo of blood on a CD-R. I love my turbo duo though.

  • @cpufightclub No, you were correct. The Turbo Duo will play any Turbo CD game (except Arcade Card games) without any kind of card or add on and there is no region locking at alll. There was a difference in the HuCard games in Japan and the US, for which you needed an adaptor to change the pin configuration, but not the CD ones.

If you just had a TurboGrafx 16 with the TurboCD add on, then you needed a Super System 3 card to make the system into a Turbo Duo. The card had to match your region.

  • I may not look all that different on youtube, but the gameplay in this version is a thousand times smoother than the SNES version. If you haven't played this one, you are missing out!

  • looks alot like symphony of the night.....

  • @lalo24681 because it is the prelude!

  • @lalo24681 are you high.. maybe the first stage yea but sotn is free roam tis is level after level

  • i bought the psp remake it's fun but not as good. fortunately, in the game i unlocked the full original game. i relly like this version of bloody tears.

  • 2D gaming at it's best.

  • why do they use naked girls

  • @Dragonlordoj1 Why not ? :)

  • I've played the remake of this on PSP. Sadly, it's not much better.

  • 4:01

    Looks.... familiar....

  • how come the verry first castlevania has such a good soundrack.. and from there on it gets worse and worse with every castlevania...

  • @IPAWNMYQUEENS it was climbing up till Symphony of The Night... then... im agree!

  • super toll

  • @98minutes warum ist die sprache in deutsch?

  • @IPAWNMYQUEENS

    weil ...

  • @98minutes Japaner stehen auf Deutschland im allgemeinen. Gibt viele japanische Titel mit deutschen Pseudotiteln wie Ehrgeiz. Einhänder...

  • The wheels on the carriage are moving in the wrong direction.

  • Flufen ufen! :D

  • SCHIZER !

  • what the fuck!? Why does the narrator speak german!? And why does it sound pretty nice o_O!?

  • que es lo que haces en el ultimo cuarto con el reloj?

  • suckiness aside, you have to admit the SNES version looked purty

  • eh not really ive never play snes to compare but i do like this one cuz u can play as maria and this oNE not the snes is the prequel to SoTN

  • Harder does not mean better. The Snes one had some atrocious level design.

  • why is the narrorator speaking german????

i thought this game was only released in japan

and the story of dracula takes place in romania so there is no reason for there to be german on this

  • i cried listening to the theme

  • For the SNES, Super Castlevania IV is better than Dracula X

  • muahahaha!!

  • Rondo of blood is one of my favorites!

  • hey at 4 min something isint that the town where simon belmont were on castlevania 2?

  • yep

  • HWERE CAN I GET THIS

  • you cant ether A. go to japan and hope to get it or B. illeagly download it on an emulator... (i did b. lol) hard too find if your trying to find too download

  • dude u gotta tell me the link, never found it...ima wait for a mesage =)

  • C buy Dracula X chronicles on PSP

  • lolz i bought it when i got my psp XD

  • Heard this is after SotN one of the best ;;;;;; Dracula X on SNES from far is the worst (after all 3D game which I dont considere part of Castlevania; They are horrible but the music is great in Lament of Innoncence)

  • What are you talking about? Dracula X on Snes was awesome. The worst Castlevania has to be Castlevania 2 on Nes.

  • Someone has played Haunted Castle.

  • hasn't*

  • Castlevania Lament of Innocence is the 3D Castlevania (The other are pure Shit) and this game is the best castlevana (After SOTN), but de Snes Version Sucks!

  • Opinions.. Snes Dracula X was a good game. It was much more an oldschool Castlevania game and all the levels were pretty detailed and varied.

SoTN was the first big metroidvania type Castlevania and I loved it, but it also lost a bit of it's Castlevania-ish and all the copy/paste hallways were a bit of a shame..

Depends what you want whichever is the best: this game is more oldschool, SotN is more action rpg ish. Castlevania Bloodlines is maybe my favorite oldschool Castlevania game tho.

  • isnt this game the older verson of CastleVania game for PSP

  • i think it isn't..thought so at first, but the GFX remind me of the old school PC-days,definetley nt a handheld/console version..but then again, who gives a crap, its exactly the same game :)

  • The music is too wonderful

  • awesome game richard belmont is the best character!

  • Someone, anyone! Just tell me where to get this!!

  • Where Go download this Great Game and also the Emulator. please i played the Vertion of Snes and is Very Hard.

    please :'(

  • it's like sotn

  • Yeah, and Richter's in the Prologue "Bloodlines" of sotn. I haven't finished sotn so I dunno how Arucard ties to Richter yet.

  • The soundtrack used the sc88-pro by roland, great sound module of its time

  • lmao when u push the run button at the main title it sounds like a man farting

  • yeah thats what i thought^^ lol

    (a fat man farting)

  • i have this game but didn't want to shell out the money for the turbo duo to play it. can't wait for the psp port

  • well i found a torrent of it, and it play well.

  • beloved music in this game

  • i thought i was the only one who loved this game cause of the music, its so cool and goes well perfectly with the game but i like the snes version better i give it a 10/10

  • almost all of the enimies that appeare in this game show up in portrait of ruin.

  • thankx for the vid

  • most of this games music is remixed versions of songs from the earlier castlevania games

  • Hope to see it on Wii VC.

  • Hey you can find the rom/iso of this game, you can use an emulator call Magic Engine to play it. Magic Engine is the best Turbo Dou/Graphic emulator out there, but this is a small fee for it...I believe it's $15.

  • Hey, I might be able to find a rom for this, if I do how do I run the emulator with the rom? I REALLY want to play this game. Other than the new CV releases, Ive beaten every old CV there is and I am an avid follower of the Belmont clan. I dont like any other character in the series other than the Belmonts with their decendants and Alucard.

  • The BG of Stage 1 reminds me of Simon's Quest...

  • you know somthing your right it does! Makes it more of a poietic touch for the game. :D

  • It is the town were you first start at in CVII.

  • What a badass intro to a badass game. The german voice makes it so much cooler.

  • Castlevania rocks!!!!

reminds me a bit of devil may cry.

Dante is such a cool character

    anyways Castlevania rules!!!!!

  • Can anyone translate the German subtitles?

  • there not german they're japanese

  • No, it's spoken is some Germanic language but the captions are Japanese.

  • yes.. its japanese... read what i was responding to... he said "subtitles"

  • damn, I had no idea they put one of the town's from castlevania 2 into this game, it looks awesome.

  • yes! thanks for this. i heard the ost is realllly good, better then SOTN.
