Apple iPod Classic 160gb Review

I'm still debating on whether to get a Classic or a Touch, but your vid really helped in convincing me that the Classic is an ideal choice. I'll probably go with Classic simply because it's 160 GBs and should last me a long, long time.

Do you have any suggestions for earphones/earplugs? Thanks!

@preciousblacksteel I personally use the Monster Beats headphones which retail at about £169.99 and have amazing sound quality, no matter wether I'm listening to Dr. Dre himself, to Drowning Pool, to Tom Jones, to whatever else clap trap I have, they're not just biased to hip-hop music =D I think those would be the best out there on the market. That being said, they're not cheap. Sony and Bose have always been good makes in this department...

the only problem with the 160gb classic is they base the capacity on songs about four minutes long, so if you have several songs lets say 8 or 9 minutes long its not going to hold anywhere near 40k

I'm really sorry that you had to pay the US equivalent of about $424 for that piece of crap. The iPods in the US are great. I don't know if it's something about them being shipped to Britain, or anything? The iPods here don't have ANY of those problems and they're not discontinued and really easy to find. And here, they cost about half.

There is a free program that I use that can be downloaded off the net, which converts video for you. I'd recommend you get the iPod. I love mine to bits :P

It was a loose hard-drive, indeed caused by dropping it. It's a regret indeed, as I had to pay £120 for a replacement. But it's an MP3 that is so worth it. There's nothing to top it. I'd defiantly recommend it. I've shopped around with MP3 players, being quite a music buff, and I can't find anything better.

I use a DVD Convertor called 123 DVD Convertor. I paid £30 for the licensee but I think you can use it on multiple computers, so if you're interested, drop me a private message.

haha, I know you weren't :P But it was originally a question and I like to get back to people. Also, I have replaced this unit in the Apple Store with exactly the same iPod. If you were thinking of getting one whilst searching for a video like this, go for it mate. There isn't a better MP3 player out there by my experience. Apple have perfected the MP3 player :P

yeah i was either gunna get and ipod touch 64gb or this i already have an iphone 3gs 32gb but i realy needed the big space but i do think that the build quality is very good unlike u said and also apple care is only £30 so it dosen't matter if it brakes

It's okay but mine seems to have fallen apart over time, and it's not like I'm a guy who doesn't take pride in my possessions. As of 3 weeks after recording this video, I can't get the iPod to work at all. However, that said, I'd strongly recommend getting this over an iPhone, if you're really into your music. The space is brilliant and was the only MP3 player (apart from the Archos) which could store my entire collection.
