  • this is so classic, gloomy, melancholic.. Beautiful lyrics, only "shame" beats this eurythmics song.

  • I gave this video the 18,000th hit. WOW!

  • She's out of this world, she's a star!

  • There is no artist around today who even approaches the Beauty and unforced Power of Annie...w/ Dave here....not to discount him! They are incomparable.

  • has this woman ever said anything wrong or uninterresting? Looks, voice and message. No wonder i named my daughter after her.

  • How beautiful she is

  • a profoundly beautiful piece........ I like it better live, as i do with a lot of there songs.

  • i'm ill by that live video...amazing, crush my soul to a little pieces

  • Can You upload an originall vob file for me...please!

  • that's the sweetest thing I have ever heard anyone say.

  • This song is a masterpiece. One of their best songs ever. i think they only performed it live a couple of times. This is from the Savage launch party and the other time was at the Town and Country Club in Kentish Town, London.

I simply love this song. Does not get much better than this. I love how it builds up.

  • @susiechild003 REspect. I sooooo agree.

  • One of their best live ever.

Savage song is masterpiece and live version is a golden treasure. Only a few songs is so strong like Savage, maybye Never gonna cry again and This city never sleeps is a little similar.

  • This live performance was done around the 1987 Revenge Tour era, as they had already worked on the songs for the SAVAGE album. I"m guessing they performed this one only a few times on tour to 'test it out" maybe... who knows. but it's clearly them from 1987 prior to Savage....it's NOT from the Revival tour.

  • This is actually from the Savage album premiere party. They may have done a one-off performance on the day of the album's release.

  • Around 1988, Annie had a personal, very unfortunate sad event and there was no tour for Savage.

Mr. MathewRusso seems very accurate, I agree.

  • annie is so beautiful in the interview at the beginning i love it!!

  • One of the best live performances I've ever seen. Intro with an unknown girl and Dave and Annie appearing on stage after the intro... Breathtaking.

  • wasn't that annie lennox at the start? if it wasn't, she does a bloody good impression of her!

  • No, I mean when I saw them on tour, Revival ??? (checked internet but not many info about that tour to be found)somewhere 89/90

It started with a female acoustical guitar/harp? player and Annie & Dave fell in later with Savage.

  • ooooooooooh ok! my mistake, sorry.

  • As in general, Annie plays the piano and flute.

  • @Eurythmic1983 yeah it's her lol

  • I'll tell you this much--there are very few humans on earth as symmetrically beautiful as Annie Lennox. Find a flaw---it's impossible! With her talent and face--she is really the whole package. A fascinating woman.

  • I Thought they had never played this song live! Must have been the one and only time. It's such a shame they never included this masterpiece in the regular set lists of the different tours they did afterwards.

That was extremely beautiful and thank you for sharing.

  • I've been in love with this song since that album got released but sadly it's more than ever a song of our present time.

  • True, the song has not aged at all. It's one of my favorite Eurythmics songs and deserved to be performed more often!

  • Thanks for posting!! I really enjoyed watching this. SAVAGE is my favorite. :)

  • Well done, excellent song Annie,thanks sake008

  • THIS IS GORGEOUS!!

    thanks 4 shared it!!

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS
