@DcRacer24 That was one of the things they aimed to while writing it - it serves the same dramatic purpose of ending the first act. Mainly it is supposed to be a parody of "Do You Hear the People Sing?", from Les Miserables too.
Is it bad for me to wish, that we could hear actually Cox singing how bad it is and that she maybe must die, but a OP could rescue her? It would be a great song....
I don't know if it was composed by the show's official composer Jan Stevens, or whether it was done specifically for this episode along with the other musical numbers.
does anybody know the original song of this "remix"? i know its a remix of an old musical. i would appreciate a response. alot of countries were involved in the original musical song and i really wanna know the name of it. thank you ;) <3
@scarlet657 yes and no. Certainly you wont be seeing coordinated dance moves, and the songs will not rhyme, hell the people you hear singing wont have a lovely voice. But as for the rest, yes as odd as it sounds an anyurism on the temporal lobe will make you hear almost everything as music.
the show exagerates it a bit, but overall this is a real condition.
"Somethimes your better off not knowing, but this isn't one of those times! Your world's become a musical, and your doctors speack in rhymes! It's best to know the truth, of that we have no douht, but you'll have to face the future...how can i tell him? how can i tell him? how can i tell her? -you'll have to face the future when the truth comes out!"
This episode is truly the by far most amazing episode of Scrubs! Every single one of these actors have a wonderful voice! The best moment is the last thing they sing (isn't included in this video) before the patient goes in to surgery!
No, boys and girls, Donald, as Turk, is the best singer in scrubs, he's got sick voicecontrol and an awesome voice. No doubt he's better than Kelso, Cox, Janitor and Carla

sounds like "Wizard of Oz" music mixed with Les Miserables lyrics if you get my flow. the music is kinda like "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" or something and the whole ahhhh, ahhhh, ahhhh thing is definitely a Les Mis thing.
