Real bus was turned in to a taco stand, then it sat in disrepair and then scrapped. So to my knowledge its been scrapped. I hate that I really love the look of that old bus.

the funny part of this video is that the poster acknowledges in his/her description that the real PF bus was a Chevy, but the bus in the video has GMC in big letters on the grille.

not the original, as many of you have already figured out. Just look at any screen shot from the series, and you will see the difference. It's not even close. It's an absolute shame that the original was not preserved.

I saw the same bus up in the Catskills and saw the owner. He told me that it was used on the show. It is an original Bus.

The original coach has long been gone, crushed in a salvage yard. It was a '57 30 foot chevy 6800 with a superior coach. Don't remember engine specs. I have a '57 30 foot carpenter coach, close but front windshield slightly altered and windows different basically. the Bus pictured is by no means a 57.

it was a 57chevy school bus purchased from orange county ca. sadly i heard it was junked in 1987. i got this information from the partridge family album book.

You will also notice on the back of this bus, the Careful Mother sign is on the driver side of the bus, and no art framing. The original bus, it was in the form of a Caution sign, more towards the middle of the back end.

This isn't the original. Unfortunately the original was scrapped in 1987, the Partridge Family logo painted over in white, windows broken, and incredibly faded =/

My son and I saw this same bus in Prattsville NY.

This is not the original, which had only 9 windows on each side (this has 11) and a different front end. The story of what happened to the original is in another post below.

The real Bus had a cool 50's front end'.

This one is an ugly box front end ! Yuk !

i heard the real bus sat for years in a vacant lot somewhere out in the valley in LA ..in chatsworth i think ,a girl i use to work with when i lived in Los Angeles said she use to see it in a lot on her drive in to work ,a private owner must have bought it from the studios?? go figure

the real bus was after the show ended in 1974 the film company sold it to a taco stand in california to help get mare buyers. in 1979 the bus was moved to the back in rough condition then in 1987 when they re-paved the parking lot the bus was sold to a scrap yard in arazona in horrable condition such as broken headlights and broken windows, flat tries, such key indentification items such as the band name on the side and the Coution nervious mother driveing sign where painded over. it now sits

this bus is far from being the original, this bus here is early 70's GMC with a Ward body on it.

the original from the show was 55-57 Chevrolet with a Superior Coach body on it.
