I think 'Slade' as a name or codename or whatever is way cooler than 'Deathstroke'. Sure, it has 'death' in it but 'Slade' is just so much more...how do I put this...mysterious? It's like that single syllable carries so much weight, but you don't know WHY. 'Deathstroke'? There's not much mystery behind that; the dude's bad and kills things. 'Slade' is intriguing, while 'Deathstroke' is obvious and a bit cliche.

He knows the criminal mind and is always 1 step ahead of Robin and keeps him on his toes because Slade does seem to know Robin inside & out so it would make sense that it's Batman and it'd be such a great twist to end the series, although I think Robin would be a incy biddy bit angry and probs have a melt down.

if he was it would make the whole "who is slade" thing make a lot of sense it felt like so much built up to nothing in the comic's slad'es real identiy was just that SLADE wilson that's it slade willson plain and simple.

If Red X is J-Todd, it means one of two things, a. since Todd was in another dimension, he could go to the past on his return. b. This is my preference, this Robin is Tim Drake. That means Jason Todd is already dead and back plus it explains why Robin is with the Titans, Grayson stayed with Batman pretty much till he became Nightwing. And if you say when Starfire went in the future she saw Robin as Nightwing so it isn't Drake, remember that was a screwed up future, he might have adopted his idea

When I watched this show YEARS ago, I had a theory that Slade was Robin from the future. I have NO IDEA where I got that idea, but I stick to it.

I don't know, when I first saw the episode where Robin became Slade's apprentice, I had that idea. But it's not an idea I like. It's too cliche.
Recently, I've been toying with the idea that it's actually Bruce, but I doubt it, simply because of how malicious Slade is.
Still, I think that would be a cool twist to take if it turned out that Teen Titans takes place in an alternate version of the DC universe. :)

I thought so at first, but it dosen't make sence. If Batman was Slade that means Batman would go missing from Gotham and Robin would pit at together. Plus why would Bruce Wayne want to be an Evil Mastermind. I think Older Robin as Slade works better.

I think Slade is an older Robin from the future. Think about it. They both have the fight style, the same taste in weapons, and Slade knows all the Titans moves. It wouldn't be the 1st time the titans messed with the past.
