However, each band has managed to create two completely different songs.

Each great in their own right.

@kingeric1990 What I meant was that the lyrics and melody were written by Coldplay which is true. Coldplay also performed the song first live in 2002. Coldplay later sold some of the rights for the song to Embrace. In 2005, Coldplay re-recorded 'Gravity' as a b-side for 'Talk'. The age of the bands doesn't matter (Embrace 1993, Coldplay 1996). As to who sang it better, it's just my opinion :)
