I’m happy with my 328i, but the only performance mods are sport suspection and the Signature Motoring performance intake for about $150. Signature Motoring kit adds around 11HP on the dyno, great sound, and the best performance upgrade for the money. See my channel videos!
-Adds 9-11 HP
-Never replace filter again (uses K&N filter)
-GREAT SOUND
-Installs in maybe 30-45 min. K&N filter lasts a lifetime.
My door handle needs replacing. BMW want to charge me £200! Anyone know how to do this? I got as far as removing the interior panel but stopped short of removing the locking mechanism as I wasn't sure. I've got an E46 323i Coupe. Cheers.
Mate thanks so much for this video i have been putting off taking my 328CI to the dealer cos it really does cost millions and in two mintues some internet video cured my problem for free! Thanks again bro :D
It's known as irony, jackstaak - I didn't believe that Americans don't get/do irony, but now I know!
Besides, if you check out the number of people he has helped with this tip (plus the ones who haven't posted a thank you!) it probably wouldn't be far off a million quid.
Easiest fix ever, this video was such a great help.
Now to go down to my local BMW dealer and get my money back for the $400 dollar part they said would fix the problem. I wish the world was full of more honest people like you. Thanks again!
Thanks man, I had exactly the same problem, You should note that on te drivers side you have to twist the bolt to the other side... But still perfect video
The Signature Motoring performance intake kit is only $170 and adds up to 9HP in the E46 323/325/328 and up to 13.9HP in the 330. That's about $17/per extra HP... A good value for the extra oomph.
I was thinking the same. Until I went to tighten it (clock wise) and it broke lose. I thought I snapped the screw or something worse. Until I started turning anti clock wise and it tightened nicely.
I like the sound you make when you try to open it the first time hahaha. But very good tip, my doors are also hard to open. People always think that i locked it.
But i also noticed that the E46 doors are opened a little but upwards, which a lot of people don't know.
My door handle was loose on my 528i and the other day, it broke completely off, all that steel just broke. Now I get to replace the whole handle and the driver's door is most expensive but I can't drive around like this for long! If I had seen this video before I may have been able to prevent this issue.
Class, cheers for that, cant wait until tomorrow so i can sort my doors! Ive got two too many being a saloon, but it gets me about. Nice motor by the way.
Thanks a bunch for this video, it really save me $ 500. I had been to 2 different dealers and 3 mechanics, all said i need to replace my door lock. But this video changed it all and i was able to fix it my self. Thanks once again.
Thanks finally my doors can be opened normally! =)
