if you keep the wind turbine otherway round, dont you think win area will increase and also it will be concentrated from larger area to lesser area which will have more energy over the turbine , eventually ncreasing the speed and also with lesser wind spped one might start the generator, because we concentrate larrger volume of air to impact on the turbine.

There are better designs out there that don't need the device to move at all, and capture the wind from every direction at once. It was on The New Inventors on ABC TV Australia. Would beat this design hands down. This design was OK 10 years ago, but is now ancient technology.

To make something from the use of fossil energy that will return more energy than used to make it, like a solar panel or say wind turbine is better than just burning it up.

Solar panels are 18% efficient, but we have some grid installers promising 5 years and and they have paid themselves off, with a life span of 25 years this is a 1:5 ratio.

If one could take all the gas and increase that energy by more than 500% by making wind solar devices WTF is going on?

These are made like the old water pumping turbines as far as the blades are conserned.There is a reason why these type of blades are no longer used to generate power.Its a good idea but i see there isnt a power curb on the videos i watched so far.Just percentages you will save in what they call low winds.Id like to see a full power curb.I even seen one up close at a local country store they are sel;ling but again no real specs.they say it produces power in 2mph winds what 2 watts?Interested but

Clever idea. The skirt attachment not only helps direct the turbine in the right direction but creates more of a vacuum from behind. Therefore, there's an additional suction force.

@Blackwater200 "big oil" is used to make the wind turbines...ie plastic, resin, carbon fibers, plus right now the oil companys have their own large wind farms (yes for the tax break). and even if we found a magical way to replace all oil based fuels for electricty..the oil company would lose like <10%....most of the oil companys money comes from its by products of making gasoline..a big one is asphalt and plastics. not saying i like "big oil" but your comment is misinformed.

TheDRock456....comparing this design to an actual piece of shit is a bit harsh imho. sure a lot of hyperbole but give the guy some credit for coming up with something better than small scale open rotors. I read the entire independent report on their sight and it says that the study is not an indication of real world performance. it is quiet, doesn't kill birds and is more efficientt...that's not so terrible. BTW, where's your design?

There is a quote from the movie Tommy Boy I'd like to relate to this turbine, "If you're looking for a guarantee, I could take a shit in a box and mark it guaranteed, but all you're getting is a guaranteed piece of shit." The wind tamer makes outrageous claims about the production of their "turbine" but its nothing more than inflated theoretical data. Educate yourself folks.
