now, that means if they exist, they're further than that ;)

if aliens exist, which they could very possibly be, they are more than a couple thousands of light years away, that means the fastest time they can get here from their planet is thousands of years going at the speed of light, since nothing goes as fast as light without becoming light, they have to go slower than that, which means they need more than thousands of years to get here.
