I see that you are in Marana. I also live in Marana. If you do not mind can you tell me where you had the surgery done and do you have any suggestions of doctors? I have been looking at getting the lap band but the more I research the gastric sleeve seems to be a better choice.Thankss
good luck on ur operation i had a gastric band done in january 2006 and haven't lost much since but my life changed and i'm trying to work on it , i started optifast and promised myself to stick to it for at least 8 to 12 weeks ,but as for u mark i wish u the best u seem like a great person don't be afraid ,a weight loss surgery is the best decision an obese person could take. i started at 316 pound 5'5 and i'm now at 270 and hoping to reach my goal this year. good luck mark
Glad to hear you got a date. I had my last appt. with my surgeon today. I have to go to Cedars tomorrow to get my blood typed. Only four days to go for me. It has been so much work getting ready for this. The liquid diet really gets old fast :)
I'm on a low fat low salt 1,000 calorie full liquid. Of those calories 400 are taken by drinking worldwide pure protein shakes(35 mg protein, mandatory) If you freeze the shakes they aren't too bad but, low fat low salt cream soup is awful! Optifast? Isn't that Oprah's first diet? I am so glad you have lost so much. It will make it much better for you.
