Motorstorm looks good on High Def. I wana see the 3rd game using the Killzone 2 lighting engine, then it'll look like the target render. Motorstorm is the best arcade racing game i've ever played.

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is a lot more true to the target render. However, I'd say that anyone that thought that Motorstorm would look like the render is a bit stupid. I haven't seen any games that look like the render/teaser trailer. The only game that has done it so far that I know of is Killzone 2, which actually looks better than the render.

I want to say that Motorstorm is the coolest, hardest and most fun racing game i have ever played. I will also say if you play Motorstorm without sixaxis couse you thinks it's "to senstive" then just try it some more couse once you get a hang of it and then drive a car (in inside view) it will feal like having a steering wheel! I actually sometimes get the feeling that I'm really inside the game and driving!

i like how they compare the least interesting gameplay video they could find, on a track with no mud, show sutpid crashes, and they compare that to the target render. if someone posted a comparison with tracks like mudplugger or sidewinder gulch, and actually showed cool crashes and gameplay, then it would be a fare comparison.

right i'll take back the bit about gt4 as its been a while since i seen it, however gt4 is incredibly impressive on the hardware theyve used, and they achieved it by being quite sneaky with the graphics. cars were hi poly. textures and landscape were not. Background is just a picture.

Even so, motorstorm isn't that amazing compared to it. And Colin McCrae Rally DiRT and Flatout 2 are much more impressive.

this is an average game. bit of a laugh.

Graphics are poor in this game. A dissappointing release title for a "next gen" console.

The grass is completely 2 dimensional, textures aren't brilliant, and every race track is incredibly low polygon. The resolution is 720p. In essence its a slightly sharper version of GT4's graphics.

btw, there are more powerful things than ps3, there are pc's. ps4 is not only thing that can possibly surpass it. Crysis beats even the trailers to console games.

Okay, this is a bit of a biased comparison because I have this game and there are tons of moments where you say "shit this looks better than that trailer". Just play the Grizzly with a rally car and get in the mud with the big rigs and some bikes, you'll see what I'm talkin' bout.

I don't think Sony ever seriously claimed the target render was gameplay. How can you play a racing game with camera angles where you see your vehicle from the front? And they didn't even do cockpit view in Motorstorm like they showed in that video.

I've seen the Motorstorm 2 trailer and the Grand Theft Auto 4 trailers. None of that is gameplay. I don't think anyone thinks it is.

you say that GTA IV trailers arent gameplay? why shouldnt it? it has been in all the other games (except top-down GTAs, GTA III and GTA Vice City Stories what I know didnt have gameplay intros. but the trailers of them were all gameplay. just that the games rockstar makes looks different on the consoles. SA on PC dont have the awesome graphics from Xbox and the good reflections from PS2. also a lot of shading misses on the PC. but the gameplay is exactly the same. all that changes i graphics

The PS3 has all that yeah ,woohoo, but fact is is that not all games tax all of the PS3's capabilities, there is still some frame rate drop in a lot of PS3 games with particle and smoke effects. I have a PS3 myself and there is a significant amount of extra FPS in PS3 but not enough to differentiate the 2 with an untrained eye. All the bells and whistles that go into PS3 just up the value and price, many consumers have complained about it lately.

The graphics are amazing, Standard Def they're the best graphics available on a console.

High def it's not as great as other 720p games, Gears of War is amazing hi-def compared to motorstorm

but it is an amazing game to play, it's so freaking funny!

To Be honest I think that Evolution Studios have delivered on 75% of what the video Render ( and thats all its was E3) showed. Yes there are some Spectacular crashes but not as how the video render showed. Its one I have ordered and will play the socks off.  What you have to ask yourself is what will GT5 playlike, will we have 16 odd cars racing around circuits?
