Astonishing movie and by way a good Movie to learn the British accent :D

Where the movie took off into the stratosphere was at the end when George VI rallied the British people to the cause - as his words echoed strong, the camera flashed from one scene of British society to another, from His Majesty's Armed Forces, to a stately home, to the local pub & on.

In this the character of the British people & their devotion to King & country shone through...

In the end, how could they be anything but victorious?

I'm a severe stammerer myself. I grew up seeing speech pathologists every week, but as I got older, it seemed to get worse. Every time I heard of a new method, I felt a spark of hope only to fade away soon after because I realized the method couldn't work- it couldn't take away my stuttering, because it will always be here to stay. This movie definitely brought me to tears, and it brought me hope. I have a voice! Colin's acting was magnificent, and I am dearly in love with this movie.

This movie literally turned my life around. By the time it came out I was sad, depressed, and lonely, and had never amounted to much. After leaving the theater, I realized that my problems are nothing compared to "Bertie's" and that If I wanted to, and tried, I could be happy and succeed. Since that date under a month ago, I have become a brand new person, and now, I never seem sad. Thanks so much to Colin Firth, and the best movie I've ever seen.

@melc1949 I see your viewpoint. But if a wanted to watch drama I'd just go outside. Watching unrealistic material is amazing. Who doesn't want to see Alien Robots fighting or the world ending.
