My Yorkie smiled whenever he eas seeing me after leaving him alone for a little while.

I must let him go when he was 18 years old, in 2002.

He was and will be the sweetest doggie in my life.

I'm reminded of my dad's little Yorkie (Minnie), who sadly had to be put to sleep a couple of months ago. She used to do the same thing when someone she knew came to visit. She'd do that cute little grin, snorted a few times, then started giving kisses. I really miss the way she would always jump onto my lap, go straight for my face to give me little dog kisses...

@yalguun I had a yorkie that sadly passed away last October. She used to do what it looked like a smile. She would not do it on command and it really showed she was happy. Usually she would smile when we got home. So, yes, I think this is something that some dogs do!

My boxer literally gets a smile when you scratch him good or he's outdoors. The corners where his lips meet get turned up, yet the mouth remains closed. (boxers have huge lips)
