  • 22,222 views now. For me anyway...

  • i enjoy seeing claudio whip out the les paul from time to time.

  • i just realized while listening this on iTunes, does anyone else hear someone shouting "Cassiopeia" (Shabütie's song, pure awesomeness<3) at 0:19 or something?

  • @CoCaFanboy Yea, I hear that too. That is one of my favourite Shabutie songs

  • No Elf Tower New Mexico =[

  • @Samuelwhatshisface There's a video I watched where Claudio played an acoustic version of that live, and he said he really doesn't like playing it, 'cause it's about a girlfriend that broke his heart or something. I forget exactly what he might have said, but yea

  • @CoheedBojarzin it's about Nikki Owen (Newo Ikkin in Amory Wars) his ex girlfriend so you're right

  • 1:36

    That, oh my word.

I wasn't expecting that at all. It makes me want to form an army.

  • it's impossible for me to see how chris changes drumsticks so fast... (4:18)

  • 4:33 the most intense pick grab i've ever seen

  • wow this is way better live than on the albumn

  • The one person who disliked this video was obviously Wilhelm Ryan.

  • @anakinfennie Sonuvabitch is back! GET HIM!!!

  • @anakinfennie If this video gets more dislikes, it might be the Red Army I guess...

  • Yeah, Claudio is older now, and everyone changes in time. People still want to blast the band because he doesn't sing as high as he used to, but Claudio is working with it as it comes, and that's what really sets him apart from most artists. And for the people who dislike this video, Hell hath no fury for your lack of appreciation in good, honest music.

  • @Prologue2113 im a big fan of cohhed and i completly agree with you cuz the human voice can only take so much strain. its actually a miricle that he lasted as long as he did so if your a true fan you will stick with coheed no matter how his voice sounds high low or no voice at all

  • @Prologue2113 Yea, you can easily tell his voice has gotten lower (obviously). I noticed when I listened to Hush and Deranged more recently, it actually sounded a little higher to me than most of Year of the Black Rainbow. Made me happy, because I will admit I loved his voice more when it was higher (I still love it now, don't get me wrong), so I was pleased to hear he can still do it to some degree

  • I love how when the first chorus starts Travis and Mic just come running in

  • Looks like one person was killed by IRO-Bot...

  • how is this song so magical?

  • Comment removed

  • @girouxcor a gibson les paul.......

  • Get to see this album on March 18th!!! SO EXCITED

  • @Sagebigly7 I think you missed it...

  • @osostewie2 Nope! Got to go. It was at NC Filmore center. Great show.

  • @Sagebigly7 Nice! But i get to hear Junesong Provision AND Everything Evil on a Wednesday!!! (THIS WEDNESDAY ACTUALLY!!!)

  • @osostewie2 Ha. Congrats. Yeah I was at the SSTB tour. They did the entire album, acoustic set, and encore. Most likely the same thing you are going to. Really amazing show. You can buy the audio from the shows too once its up on the web.

  • who the hell would dislike this? I will always be one among the fence <3

  • IRO-bot kind of sounds like The Light & the Glass

  • his voice=BONERABLE

  • chris nailed those drums. so different.

  • Just looked at the description box and realized Elf Tower New Mexico is absent. Always been one of my favorite songs on this album. Anyone know the reason for its exclusion?

  • @AP11ag It wasn't actually on SSTB. It was a bonus track added on the reissue made in 2005.

  • @DavidRayT That explains it. Thanks for the clarification!

  • @AP11ag No problem, dude. Glad I could help. :D

  • @DavidRayT I know you're right. I wonder why they play IRO-Bot and not Elf Tower, though?

  • @tantruming Because IRO-Bot's actually on the original release.

  • @tantruming YES. ITS NOT JUST ME THAT WONDERSSS.

I'm going to Neverender and I really really really really really really want them to play Elf Tower AND IRO-bot. :(

  • @xangelicxscarsx I found out that IRO-Bot is at the end of Godsend Conspirator on the original release of SSTB.

  • @xangelicxscarsx I'm going to a SSTB neverender on the 29th, and I know for sure they are going to play IRO-bot, and i'm fairly certain they are going to play Elf Tower New Mexico.

  • @schlynn They will. I went to SSTB on the 18th and they played both. It was my first time hearing Elf Tower actually. Great song. They had this really awesome thing where you can buy a card that has a code on it to download the whole concert as mp3's the next day. I downloaded the concert I went to obviously, but it will let you download any concert that has already happened on SSTB's tour. It is legit as anything.

  • @TotalProsky Dude, you're like from the future for me then. I'm so hyped up for this concert. What all else did they play? Isn't there like an acoustic set and stuff too?

  • @schlynn It was crazy! They played 28 songs. They opened with maybe an 8 or 9 song acoustic set, then they played SSTB straight through, start to finish. After that they played a more normal set that had a lot of songs from Good Apollo and No World (My two favorite albums). It was great. Chris Penne really knows how to tear up the drums man, his grooves some of the songs were freaking thick. You are going to enjoy the concert, it was my second favorite concert I've been too.

  • @AP11ag they never play that song anyways. claudio said he doesn't remember how to play it

  • As weird as it may seem, this song is incredibly beautiful! Claudio brings it so much more to life in the live version than the studio one. I wasn't much of a fan of it on the album, but this version is just totally kick ass!

  • Lol Mic puts on a bass, then puts on a different one.

  • i love the ending!!!

  • IRO BOT WILL NEVER DIE

  • I had always wondered what this song sounds like live, and if they ever did this song live in general.. this is just simply amazing nothing what I expected. I figured he would go acoustic like they did with The light and the glass. I hope to see them live one day. and for the 1 dislike I really hope you were drunk when you clicked that... you don't know what music is, if you did that intentionally

  • Where can I buy the albums for this concert? I have the dvd.

  • So beautiful. And the reprise on 21:13 is great as well. IRO-Bot will never die!!!

  • the best, it makes me feel important hahah idk

  • this is my favorite song by coheed ever, even though technically its not its own song

  • "You look....Down but far from out...and the pa....per reads....you lose..."

  • Hey, i have that guitar!!

  • IRO-BOT will never die <3

  • @CountEli IRO-BOT will never kill

  • @xMetallicPanda no it's at the end of the bonus track of the everything evil demo on SSTB. The other bonus track is an acoustic demo of junesong provision :)

  • @ilovesTPFI74 Elf Tower New Mexico is on their as well, but it's not as good as this.

  • There's a really old performance of hearshot kid disaster on YouTube, it's in black and white lol and claudio plays a fender strat.

  • His voice is AMAZING in this song. Fits PERFECTLY for this song. <3

  • The main reason I think Claudio is such an amazing singer is that he can switch so easily from singing at the top of his lungs, practically screaming at times, and then being so quiet and melodic at the next movement.

  • SCStunner we have to hang out sometime lol, coheed amazing performance guys

  • wow this is the first time I've ever seen Claudio play anything other than a Gibson Explorer, the Double Neck, or the Medusa. (Some of those super early clips don't count lol)

  • its from second stage turbine blade!

  • Que ninja Travis and (dammit I forgot the bass player's name) lol.

  • @nox0underling jajaja his name's mic todd...(:

  • @josecarloszavalacarr Thank you =P

  • i think claudio messes up at 2:56 but i like it!

  • @fragglerocks94 i ment 2:54 sorry

  • IRO-Bot will never die.

  • i couldnt see anything because my semen is all over the computer screen.

  • Goosebumps. That is all.

  • I have never heard this song by them. What album is this off of?

  • @sixstainless Its the hidden track at the end of godsend conspirator

  • A lyrical mastermind.

  • Forever And Ever,

    Now And Never,

Let This Sound Ring In Our Ears,

For It Will Guide Us Home,

    Where It Started,

    Where It Will End:

    Our Silent Earth...

(Wait For Me My Dear, For I'm Coming Home)

  • do do do dododo do dododo..gahhh coheed for president

  • his voice always matched each album i dont care what anyone says. It serves perfect purpose with its pitch so young then gruff, its always been a story about progression and claudio(stpry wise) avenging his parents deaths

    love em all!

and im am so wound upon the fence

  • 5:12

one of the most metal things i've ever seen

  • One of the best performance at Neverender, hands down.

  • does anybody know what part of the story this song tells? its not on cobalt and calcium =/

  • it basically is a sort of look back to dr. hohenberger and the creation of the iro-bots and the way he was framed as a terrorist

  • I just love this so much. So much better than it is on the CD. In fact, I prefer the Neverender to the studio CD's for the most part. Just has a rawness that's awesome.

  • It's one of the presets on his Line 6 FM4. Pretty much any time he makes one of those siren-like noises, that's what he's using.

  • you mean a phaser? lol, thats not just line 6, dude.

  • @rockster07 Except the Line 6 FM4 is the only pedal that Claudio's been using for those type of effects for over 6 years, and it's way more than just a phaser...

  • @astatslpvids well i stand corrected then. haha, i knew it sounded higher, but it still didnt sound like much more than a phaser to me.

  • @rockster07 You could achieve a similar effect with a phaser if you set the rate really high, it just wouldn't be quite as siren-like because the pitch-shifting wouldn't be quite as extreme. Plus the FM4 pedal does a bunch of other stuff too, it can do pretty much any kind of filtering effect (flanger, lo-fi sounds, even guitar synth-like stuff).

  • The meching of the lyrics and the melody that he combines in every song is sooooo beautiful. They always amaze me.

Year of the Black Rainbow, next April. Cannot fucking wait.

  • honestly, i like his voice better the way it is now. i know im gonna get blasted for it but w/e. :P i mean, he sounds good either way, but he sounds a bit more savage now, which reflects the concept better for the good apollos. of course, thats just my opinion.

  • yo i totally agree with you dude i just got done writing a coment saying how its better now. plus he wont go flat or scratchy whatever when it gets to high. plus im sure its much easier on his throat. and at the same time its still a pretty high tone he sings in

  • @rockster07 If only he could switch back and forth between his old and new voices. Then he'd be even more awesome. Although slightly less because he CUT HIS HAIR!!!! AAARGH

  • @drummrgy who cares. It will grow back, his hair has nothing to do with how awesome of a musician he is.

  • @rockster07 I think he sounds better too!

  • @rockster07 imo his voice fits perfectly the way it is for each album. I think it sounds best on apollo 1 though. He manages to keep it very falsetto but very controlled. SSTB comes next for me. Very falsetto but fucking wild as hell. Both work perfect.

  • No, he definitely has grown into a better sound. I saw him recently and he was flawless, miles better than the Starland Ballroom recordings.

  • @herzeleid7213 Maybe so but i still love the Starland show, vocals and everything.

  • @rockster07 he just sounds much more mature. his range is still there, but its developed now.

  • @rockster07 IMO, he sounds less high and raw, and a little lower and more matured now, than in SSTB. He also did a lot less vibrato-y all over the place stuff, like he does in IKSOSE3 and up.

  • @rockster07

i agree. ti think it also has to do with the recording of SSTB

the recording wasnt the best. and seeing all those songs on neverender LIVE!

    the quality is amazing.

  • @rockster07 That's fair. But, I really love going back to listen to SSTB and hear how high his voice can get. His voice has certainly progressed, and I love it either way

  • after watching almost all their concerts on youtube.. i can say he sung in his lowest pitch at neverender. makes me a tiny bit sad he can't hit that high anymore... i thought it was just the later nights due to strain but this is night 1. that said, my fav was their starland show!

  • this song also just happens to be written in a lower key. lol....i see what you mean, but claudio does strain his voice a lot. im sure he's aware of that....and either way, he's done a good job no matter.

  • in starland he used an auto tune to make him sing higher lol, but it wasnt his choice, it was the record labels

  • Oh jeez. Coheed has NEVER used auto-tune live. If they did, Claudio would sound perfectly in tune all the time, which he doesn't. Starland is one of his best vocal performances, but he's still out of tune from time to time = no auto-tune.

Claudio's voice changed pretty drastically between IKSSE3 and Good Apollo, a lot of male singers call it "adult puberty" - where your voice goes through a second change at some point during your mid-20s.

  • @astatslpvids Meh, I'd say he sounded better at Hammerstein.

  • This is my favourite song from them. Not the original version, this one. They're my favourite band, which says a lot with what's been done here.

  • They play it different here...

Am I the only who noticed that?

  • this is the original, the one at the end of the Everything evil demo on SSTB

  • The album version of this on SSTB has no percussion or distorted guitars in it whatsoever...this arrangement was done exclusively for the Neverender live performances.

  • should've played this one acoustic, but with the synth going over it in the chorus.

  • Everything's so in tune with each other. So tight. The drums are in tune with the actual notes. EPIC. THERE IS NO OTHER FUCKING WAY TO DESCRIBE IT.

  • Dude thank u sooo much!! ive been looking for a decent live video from Co&Ca and this just blows me away!!! Thank you so much

  • i just found out about coheed and cambria... any of their songs i should listen to more than others?

  • Honestly, listen to all of their CDs and all of their songs. They don't have any song that I don't like, honestly.

One thing that I like to do is pick a Neverender song, and just keep clicking "related videos" of songs you like or are interested in.

  • imo, you should listen to them all in order, and piece them together with the whole story, cuz the story is just flat out amazing.

  • Try them in order - Second Stage Turbine Blade first, then In Keeping Secrets..., Good Apollo Vol. 1 and then Good Apollo Vol. 2 No World For Tomorrow. Just do them in order. They are AMAZING and it will make sense musically and story-wise that way.

  • Look up the track listing for:

    Second Stage Turbine Blade

In Keeping Secret of Silent Earth:3

From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness

    No World For Tomorrow.

You should listen to the songs on there xD

  • everybody knows all their songs are great. :)

  • haha, that's a tough one. I suggest the final cut. (full name the willing well IV: The Final Cut.) Time consumer (intro at least, it's pure classic) in keeping secrets of silent earth three (epicness from the 2nd album, that and the light and the glass)no world for tomorrw (last album) they're all amazing songs. all of there songs are amazing songs. those are just small bit of there entire discography of epicness. and of course, listen to Everything Evil would ya? haha.

  • Don't quote me on this, but sounds like tremelo with flange or automatic wah orrrr phaser

  • Drugs? Try creativity! And besides, Claudio said in an interview he did drugs as a kid, but doesn't anymore because he's already a paranoid person.

Amazing song though. I like the studio version equally, this song works with epicness and calmness equally.

Thanks for uploading, man! You get major props from me.

  • Seconded!

  • I like this better than the studio version. Lol, probably because it's much more powerful and epic.

  • Agreed. I never really noticed the album version until I heard this one.

  • epic les paul is epic

  • IRO-Bot = I, Robot.

    God, I'm stupid. I can't believe I didn't make that connection earlier.

  • the closest thing to mindgasm ive ever seen

  • dude, chris really up'd this song...

  • claudio looks like a different creature with that les paul.. but hell, it fits this song, haha

  • to claim that coheed and cambria is the best band on earth would be an understatement.

  • best band in the keywork

  • agh! goddammit, everything's better live! I should just order it already

  • Lyrical Mastermind

  • sooo true

  • ahh i know man. this song always made me think of how much it takes to write something this awesome.

you gotta wonder, like, 'how the fuck do you come up with this shit?'

  • drugs?

  • ah yes...the tragic death of a tragic couple coheed and cambria pawns of the writer

  • Actually, there's nothing dumb about it.

Claudio is singing the chant from "In Keeping Secrets" at the end of the song to transition from Second Stage to In Keeping Secrets. You may wanna check your perspective next time before making such a comment.

  • and that's why it fucking rocks!

  • I thought this part was part of 2113...? No?

  • 21:13 was like a medley, it took the song 21:13 then tied in Time Consumer with the guitar part for IRO-bot at the end as in outro

  • and 21:13 is everything evil from Claudio's perspective. i just thought that'd be a nice piece of knowledge to throw down right here.

  • it is but it was also the end of the everything evil demo

  • haha, and thus began the beginning that was In Keeping Secrets. [:

  • SOOOO TIGHT!!!

  • 3:02 I found myself!!

  • This is totally the most unexpected song of their performance in terms of quality and soul. Simply amazing.

  • 6:03

    whatever the fuck that was...

    tasty.

  • holy. shit. i've never been able to find this song to be able to listen to it and here they are playing it live. it's probably been around 10 years since they last played it. this must have been the greatest 4 days of the crowd's lives.

  • Hidden track. It starts playing automatically after God Send Conspirator. Just leave your CD on :)

  • i thought it was after the everything evil demo?
