  • Would this kit be an upgrade from a tama superstar hyperdrive kit?

  • I am thinking about this kit. I was interested in the jungle with the 16 floor/bass conversion, with the 10,13 inch toms and 13 matching snare in the same finish, but I think I want to go with a 20' bass, which I think this is. How much are you selling this kit for? Thanks.

  • @jomcbar1 Give us a call at 540-372-drum and we can talk about prices

  • Hey no sunglasses

  • hey could you do a video on the superstar hyperdrive please?

  • @fulham987 We don't have any in stock right now, but if we get them, we will.

  • @GreenbrierPercussion alright cool :)

  • Just ordered me a silverstar, and from what I see, Ima really enjoy this kit :3

  • @TH3xGRAPIST Hmmmm....I don't see a silverstar order on our site today :(

  • @GreenbrierPercussion Sorry, I meant from my local music store :{

  • i purchased a 7 piece tama silverstar about 1-2 months ago... i put evans ec2 on all the toms, (3 mounted, 2 floor... 8,10, 12, 14, 15), evans power center reverse dot on the snare, and an EMAD on the batter side of the kick, and left the original white/cream TAMA head on the front... lots of attack, resonance and im telling you, the bass drum BOOOMS!! as in deep natural sub bass, example "waiting for my ruca" by sublime... i love his kit!! i play out 3-5 times a week and all musicians love it

  • what kind of china is that

  • Next time....Mic the kick. sounds good!

  • The black resonant evans emad head sounds better for recording. They sound equally good for live play. I highly recommend grabbing an evans emad resonant for any kit you play to record with.

  • Does the coated head makes the bass drum sound better than with the black head?

  • What do they sound like without being miked?

  • @2468DDT - This kit sounds tonal and very wide open. The shells play well with the heads tuned in a high range or a medium range. The smallest tom on the kit I recorded was really responsive and stayed perfectly in tune all day. The snare sounds very traditional and crunchy. The bass is punchy and dry, which I liked for double bass fills.

  • I finally get why birch drums are so popular for recording!

  • what is the tuning that you did on the snare it sounds great

  • @Justins150 just a mid-level tune, nothing fancy. These Silverstar kits just really sound amazing.

  • The snare sounds great !

  • why does this kit sound better then the other 6pc silverstar?

  • @1997Timbo Our recording process is not perfect. both are the same construction and have the same awesome birch sound.

  • @GreenbrierPercussion this or the pearl vision vbl? which would you recommend?

  • @ajcf1995 I think both kits are great, what i would recomend is trying both kits if that option is available and then going with what works best for you. But again with either choice you cant go wrong

  • These are the stock heads! We didn't even switch out the bass drum front head like we have on some other kits. This is all straight out of the box!

  • Are those stock heads that you tuned up or did you switch the heads on them?

    They sound really good!!!

  • @drumminmetal36 These are the stock heads! We didn't even switch out the bass drum front head like we have on some other kits. This is all straight out of the box!

  • These drums sound fantastic!
