Check out Texas Cheer level three, the level of difficulty between the two videos is completely different. This routine is very slow paced, but you never want to look away in the Texas cheer video. They had a great dance though, oh and that "amazing tuck" the boy does he could of easily twisted. He's clearly not a level three cheerleader. Just saying . .

The front walkovers was a transition/choreography.. not for their standing tumbling.. their standing tumbling difficulty and quantity score came right after it.. with the round off tucks..

Yeah but if you think of it... thats really only 2 parts of the routine that REALLY stand out... i mean theyre good, im not denying that, but theyre not as good compared to their other teams..yeah i get it, one of their teams is unlimited, but they could add more creativity to it and make it something people wouldnt normally expect out of a level 3 team. i mean im on a level 3 team and we have a level 5 dance...

@synergyluvv143 hen they do opening front walkovers, make them punchfronts... when they do opening roundoff tucks, make them roundoff handspring tucks... just simple things like that to max out to score sheets.

I am on a team that nobody has ever heard off, we won at our competitions on sr level 3 and it annoys me how if we went against top gun we would loose because of their gymnastics. We had WAY more difficulty than top gun with stunts.. we had a lot of transitions and stuff too, but top gun is all about gymnastics and it makes them win.. it annoys me how gymnastics is a huge part of cheerleading now..

@sammie9941 As much as you say that, its actually not accurate. First of all, its tumbling, not gymnastics. That is a completely different sport. But the score systems at these events/competitions are very laid out and specified. You can get just as much points on stunting and tumbling as you could dance/motions. Its all about numbers, skills, synchronization (which is a full section this year), and difficulty in all areas. You cant win without difficult everything no matter how great ur stunts.

Wen i first saw this video i thot the same thing...in level 3 u can not have a full rotating stunt on 1 leg (i would no bcuz i am on a level 3 team)

But they do the same thing my team does...they rotate the flyer half way (wich is legal)

And then the bases turn the rest

And top gun has amazing teams...i-3TG

Whether the bases turn or the flyer turns no stunt can make a full rotation to an extended stunt at 3. Im a judge.

@davidrecon this was in 2009 the rules for level 3 were worded differently.. you couldn't do a full up, but you could do more then a half up. That is why they turned and faced the back corner before doing it

@xotina142: did you watch the video? 1:30 they do full up to extension lib. And here is straight from USASF: Level 3 Stunts Rule C #2: Full twisting transitions may land or originate from prep level or below only (ex: full to an extended stunt would not be allowed). Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not pissed and NOT bashing Top Gun. They are my absolute favorite ever, just stating an observation as an newly official judge. Promise

i was really like hit a motion trastition hit another motion like it wasn't very fast and didnt have alot of dificulty the team i was on last year we were senior 3 too and our rutine was fast and we always scored high on difficulty. i dont think top gun spends time with all there teams cause i think if they made there rutines as fast and as difficult but within the rules as they do their level 5 all top gun would be amasing but this did not impress me at all

i agree. the only team they have that is absoutly amazing, is there level 5. but that team had the same routine for like 2 years, they just added people. and they have alot of teams so i think thats why they dont spend so much time, cuase even if this team got first, they wouldnt go to worlds. but they didnt impress me.
