Every time Brian Johnson sings, he sounds like he's trying to hold a conversation while bearing down hard while taking a very constipated CRAP! he CAN'T sing period! By the way Back in Black, Shook me etc. are straight up RAP songs. He disgraced GREAT RIFFS with f#%*cking RAP! Whoever thinks that is rock has NO idea what rock is!!!!
Paragon767 I agree. Great riffs ARE hard to write, that job is left to and dine masterfully by Angus and Malcom. ACDC is a GREAT band! It's their "SINGER" who SUCKS!!!
poisterj If you think Brian Johnson can sing, that tells me ALL I need to know about you. When they had Bon Scott, they were a badass razor-sharp, in your face Rock band. With Brian, they went disco. Back in black is a dance tune dipshit, so is Shook me. It's clear You are a wanna be rocker who likes to dance. Go put on your Night Ranger T-shirt, break out your Lover boy albums, and leave leave Rock to the non- pussies ya douche!!!
If he's so bad, then why does EVERYBODY love him, his voice, and the band. Look what he did for the band, look how popular they became. Brian Johnson IS one of the greatest Rock 'n' Roll singers. There's no douby about it.
You go dissin him in public, well you're gonna get beat up. Dumbass
Brian Johnson. Wow. Never heard the guy talk before....( except between songs ).......this is a super cool clip. So glad I got to watch and listen to this !
Brian or Bon? I go for Bon, but Brian is a nice guy, and his performance for the 'Back in Black' album is just perfect. I can't imagine Bon Scott or any other singer recording something as good as that.
@bichomaldito Interesting point you made about not imagining Bon singing the Back In Black songs. For me it's the oppposite, I was thinking to myself the other day Bon would sound great with those songs but some of them probably in a lower key. Imagine Bon singing "Rock 'n Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" - that would have been great!!
in my eyes acdc is always the greatest out of any band in the world i will never find anyone better im always ready to listen to them and just feel free
1 sec ago @YourWiseSage That is because when Brian sings he uses his upper voice (falsetto) which is a different voice. Axl Rose and Def Leppards Joe Elliot do the same thing, so u will notice their talking voices will sound very different too. Now a good example of a singer who uses his talking voice (or chest voice) is the singer from REM. You will notice he sings just the way he talks
@niteapuntes the interesting thing about many vocalists is that although they may be the best in the world, in their eyes the musicians they were inspired by will always be greater in their eyes. so while we all look up to brian johnson and think he's the best. brian johnson looks up to the musicians that inspired him and he thinks their the best. which is just a shining example of how humble of a man that brian johnson truly is.
Brian's brother suggested he wear the cap to stop all the sweat that used to drip in eyes when he performed. I guess he's used to it after 30 years. i've never seen a pic of him without a hat on
I wouldent give a shit about if the album sounded the same as the old ones! Its still AC/DC and why would you crit the sound that first made you fall in love with AC/DC?
You're full of shit mate not everybody understands Geordie at all in England. You only understand it here because he's talking the English Geordie way for the reporter or unless you are a Geordie and saying you understand it.
You don't even know how the Geordie words. You 'Doilem'
I live and work in Newcastle and am from Australia and I understand Geirdies. Sure the accent is broad - especially after a few beers - but in 10 years here I never met anyone British/Irish/Scottish/Aussie or otherwise who can't understand Geordies.
What is "english Geordie". Are you saying that after all this time in the pub, at christmas, funerals, football games etc, my friends and in-laws have been speaking so that I can understand them and that they speak differently when I am not there?
Well you're mad if you have never met any other English person who can't understand Geordie.
Maybe Scottish and Irish can understand it 'cos it's the closest accent to it..
And by the way I hope you know that Geordie has words that are nowhere else in the United Kingdom! You only think that it's easy to understand cos they speak the basic English. in fact mate search Wikipedia 'Geordie' and SCROLL down it'll show you some words that's in 'Geordie'.
Maybe you haven't travelled much. I looked up that wikipedia thing; you don'get it. Nearly everywhere you go you find local words that aren't used elsewhere. When my Geordie family come back to Oz they find the same thing; bogan/tinnie/yakka/esky/yabby/. You can nearly always understand these words from context. And even if you come across a word you don't know it doesn't mean you can't understand the whole language. My wife, kids, inlaws and mates speak Geordie and I understand them fine.
There you go! You just said it yourself.. "My wife, kids, in-laws and mates 'Speak' Geordie and I understand them fine" That's you! First you say it's an 'Accent'.. Now you're bringing up the word 'Speak' to say it's another language! Lol You really haven't got a clue have you pal? Honest, haven't you heard what people say about Geordies? 'Learn To Speak English'... You're a complete nut case if you haven't heard about people in England that can't really understand Geordie. You're a waste.
Maybe I haven't travelled much? What the fuck has that got to do about Geordies?
Why does your profile say Ukraine? If you're from Oz? Lol Some Spastic from Ukraine saying he's from Oz then CLAIMING himself a Geordie, My Life! Get the fuck out you Cretin!
His accent is Australian or Scottish it's Geordie. Here in Newcastle we don't call it a accent we call it a language cos the words we use aren't English so that's why it's hard to understand him.
i could just sit there all day and listen to brian talk. it's fun trying to figure out if his accent is the british, scottish, or aussie part lol. "no worries"obviously the aussie comin out haha

and he is one of the best singers EVER as far as im concerned, if any1 truly questions that then how can AC/DC sell that many albums and be that successful if their front man isn't up to scratch.

he's from newcastle in england.
and he is one of the best singers EVER as far as im concerned, if any1 truly questions that then how can AC/DC sell that many albums and be that successful if their front man isn't up to scratch.
