@lipeisland I saw some pretty scary things in my one month stay, a few really grim open pits of luminous colours (not here though). I'd personally ban all plastic from these island. No water bottles. They end up in the ocean and it's a tragedy.
I had a great time on Lipe and there was a lot to do like snorkeling, shopping and eating in good quality restaurants and bars. I can really recommend Koh Lipe for a nice relaxing holiday in paradise!
Forget unspoilt paradise - and spare a thought for the original inhabitants of the island, who's beautiful home has been turned into a buiding site / amusement arcade for the vacuous morons who think that it somehow is still "paradise". Ko Lipe was one of the last unspoilt islands up to a few years ago, when the Lonely Planet and package tour rubbish got together with the Chinese "developers" and gave the place the kiss of death.
I am so sad to hear this - I have been there many times - the last 6 years ago when it seemed to be changing xxxx So sad - a beautiful place is still in my memories xxxx
more like lost paradise! just got back from Koh Lipe and have to say that the island u see in the video has nothing to do with Koh Lipe today! unfortunately it changed to worse. trash everywhere, concrete pathways with motos. did not enjoy it. it's a shame, as the island definitely was an amazing place of nature!
I was there early 09, Loved it. Just came back from ko ngai, ko mook. But Lipe is way better. I think i will be going back again sometime this year, God Willing.
Don't forget to chill at Peace and Love at Pattaya Beach and listen to Putumayo.

Those trashes on the beach are come from another Islands. If you go there during Nov-Apr you will find the clean beach.

i stayed at the sita at pataya for 2 days and at the idyllic at sunrise beach fir 1 nite ....really cant wait to go back...INSHALLAH. Awesome!!!!
