i'm new to the magician world, and i have realized that all my time being a magician, a whole 3 weeks, i think the most disliked trick is, the basic double lift, rising card tricks, just because it's quick

@Superoo95 Practice the double lift then. If you make your double lift so convincing that nobody ever ever sees it ever, then any trick you do with it will make jaws drop regardless how lame it may seem to you.

i dislike stage gimmicks because they are really awesome to look at as a spectator but when performing it the magician cannot show the spectator a lot of things, that ruins a lot of things. I prefer tricks where spectators could inspect anything they want.

the flip over. its when you flip the bottem card over so every other card is face down. then you ask a spectater to pick a card when they look their card flip the deak over then have the spectater put their card in (p.s. keep the deak square ). then say "I`ll find your card behind my back ".when you got the deak behind your back flip the bottem card over and their card is fliped over. my sister knows how I do it but my mom doesn`t .(p.s. I don`t know how to spell spectater or deak).

@WianBergMagic I agree. Youtube has made gimmicks taboo for magicians because everyone thinks magic is all about skill only. Alot of inexperienced magicians dont understand specatator control and are worried everyone is gonna say, "let me see that deck!". Johnny Thompson, Jeff Sheridan, and alot of the best magicians use gimmicks.

@JohnnySilver78 so true! You gotta have spectator management and someone who's afraid of gimmciks are not true magicians and are only looking for something easy that they don't have to put some work in. It's not hard to carry a gimmick around

but I don't agree with some others here, being a magician is not about if you use gimmicks or not ( oke if you only use gimmicks you'r not a real magician).

Being a magician is about the wonder in the spectators eyes, spectators don't care if the effect is made possible by gimmicks or sleights, they only see the effect
