  • Thumbs Up for the Sony Ericsson C905

  • this is really great man. How did you get to the point that you can actually play an instrument without letting your vocals suffer? I hear it all the time in the professionals, but generally not in a youtube cover

  • @pashavanbijlert thank you for your comment! but actually if you look at it the other way round, my vocals actually let my playing suffer. =P i really need to focus hard on my vocals but as a result my piano playing gets kinda 'basic'. so i'm still working on it! ;]

  • Awesome! =)

  • @olu143 thanks!

  • The piano and your voice just suits like bread and butter. Thank you for all your effort for making this great cover!

  • @JLawlietK haha, 'bread and butter' that must be good! you're very welcome, it's my pleasure! =]

  • how any microphones did you record the drums with? amazing cover!

  • @rdahlqvist26 I only used three mics, sounds good though eh? ^^

  • @jgdevries yeah okey! Really good, I only saw one on the video so I just started to wondering ;)

  • Hi man ! very nice cover ,you did a great job on all instruments also with a voice . I´m already working on my one-man-recording and trying to get a right rhythm. So would you tell me what is better to record first ? Drums ? or the other instruments ? thanx :D

  • @Rootsman262 Hey man, thank you very much! =D Well I would say you would first record the instrument that you can play most tight, rhythm-wise. (in my case the piano and I used a click on the headphones), then I like to record the drums so I can play the bass/guitar more groovy. Hope you find this helpful!

  • @jgdevries Thank you for your tips, its good to meet such a talented people like you. I will check your another vids . Have a nice day .

  • @husuda thanks man! =]

  • Hey. You sound great...would u recommend the akg perception 420 for vocals or the c214

  • @techprettyp i don't have any experience with the perception series, all i know is that the c214 great mic for my purposes and i find it useful on almost anything! but choosing any AKG you can't really go wrong.. ;)

  • @techprettyp c414 jus sayin but if ur lookin to go cheap 420 is a good way to go there really isn't a way to go wrong with akg

  • hey dude, excellent voice and excellent interpretation, congratulations

  • @richitoji thanks man! appreciate your comment! =]

  • You are very good.

  • @flamflamflam thank you, you are very kind. ^^

  • yeahhhh dudee thiss is soo amazingggg keep goingg yeahhh i love it

  • wht piano vsti r u using?

  • @Roberto666guitar none, all sounds are nord electro 3.

  • Did you only use one mic as a drum overhead?

  • @JacobHiltMusic No, I used two. AKG C214 and also AKG C414.

  • who mixed your music? sounds too Good!!!! wat plug ins did you use?

  • @GodsMuscian i mixed it myself. =] thank you very much! =D I use Pro Tools 8, i have several plugins but i mostly use the waves native power pack.

  • @jgdevries you should doo a video on how you mixed this song pls!! thanks it would help me soo much!!

  • I wish I was that good. Nice job, man!

  • FABULOSO!!!!

  • EP sound so good.

but where does the Acoustic piano sound come form?

is it form your nord ?

or you use it as a controller and the ac.piano come form a program (or sth. else)

  • @preer the sounds are all out of the Nord electro 3! the EP's on that thing are unbeatable! But as you can hear it also has great piano samples. =] You can even grab different kinds of samples for free from the clavia website. I believe I used a steinway model in this particular video...

  • oh WOW. this is fantabulous. BIG UPS!

  • For people who think the M-Audio Fast Track Ultra is junk... Think again... I hate when people that dont have a clue, and comment on a piece of gear they know nothing about, or they just cant get it to work right. So they go a write a bad review on it.This is an example of a Truley Talented musician, knowing what to do. People dont understand the Maudio box gets the sound in the computer, then there are things u can do to polish up the tracks. then u get this. AWESOME JOB!!!

  • @socialgrudge eh man thanks! though obviously the fast track ultra is not the best interface out there but it's not very expensive and well worth it's money. but if you don't know what you're doing you can even make a $2000,- dollar interface sound like crap. so good point bro. ;]

  • @ThePicazzoMc and you're too kind!

  • Nicely done. I really enjoyed this :)...and I'm not even a fan of John Mayer

  • @nursegraceface thanks! if I may ask, what do you like about this video? is it the sound? or my style of playing? something else? just wondering...

  • @jgdevries Sure! Well the AKG really picks up the warmer tones in your voice. Is that the 414 or 214 on vocals? I also admire the one-man-band deal. It takes patience to layer several tracks and still be totally into the song each time, as you appear to be :) Besides that I love your keyboard playing...and your bass playing...oh heck, I dig the percussion as well. And the first thing I thought when I heard your voice is that it sounds...honest. Like you mean it.

  • @nursegraceface wow, I think that's too much positive's in one comment! I honestly hope to make a video one day that's 10 time's better than this one.. =P

  • it took me 5 seconds to like this vid. Your Spectacular.

  • @ArsenalFisherman wow that's fast! ;] thanks man! =D

  • Absolutely great! I was just looking up reviews on the AKG 214 and I stumbled upon this, thanks for the great music and proof that it's a great mic. Keep doing what you're doing, you'll go places. God Bless

    -Gualo

  • @GualoEdgeMusic Hey, thank you for your very nice feedback! =] you're right, the AKG C214 is a great mic for it's value. i'm hoping to record a new one soon though i'm very busy at the moment.. :(

  • Goed bezig!

  • It sounds freakin awesome. your super talented man

  • sounds good!!! The snare could have more volume though...

  • @DrumminFoo92 yes you're right, but I didn't use a separate snare mic so it couldn't be boosted much afterwards. plus, i'm not a drummer. xD

  • this is greatt!!

do you by any chance have the sheet music for pianoo?? :D

    great jobb!

  • @seokwon1994 sorry, don't have sheet music... you should learn to play by ear. ;] good luck!

  • you did an ecellent job man!!

  • @applewhiteroad thnx man!

  • This is sublime.. Total feel :-)

'De-ess' the vocals a bit, maybe run the compressor a bit hotter and you're there!

    Great stuff :-)

  • @Spinmusicuk thankyou. =] also thanks for your advice, next time i'll keep it in mind. =]

  • This is really dope man! Sounds perfect to me! I have the C214 as well, and love it!

  • nice, what mics did you use on the overheads on the drums

  • @greatkid1 AKG C214 & C414 B-ULS

  • nice, what mics did you use on the overheads on the drums

  • Jij bent echt muzikaal!

  • @Hennnriette hihi, dankjewel. ^^

  • Your very talented ...Please! do more.

  • @rushinsteele i'm thinking about recording another one but i'm still practicing it. ;]

  • Besides being musically talented .......you can also add audio and video engineer to your list of talents because the audio/video is perfectly in sync , the instruments sound great and the recording / mix is right on the mark....

  • @rushinsteele thank you for your compliments! audio editing has been one of my hobbies for the last few years. I work in a music store which is also a bit of a recording studio and i've picked up some 'tricks of the trade' there. =] this was my first time video editing and it took me some hours to get to know the software.. =P however, the bass guitar vid is not completely in sync, but I noticed that after the encoding was done... =P

  • @jgdevries You! need a record deal my friend.....

  • @hoflypofly

    jij wel weer he slijmball

  • @knarfie126 eh jong! ga fietsen. ;]

  • hé man!! basje hier!! netjes!

  • @hoflypofly eh basje! =P thnx! =] ik wacht nog op jouw eerste upload.. ;] (break even toch?)

  • wow you are exceptionally talented, question are you useing the recorderman technique on the drums?

  • @MrHatMan94 thnx! not specifically using the recorderman technique. just placed the overheads over the cymbals aimed towards snare and toms.

  • @jgdevries oh right cool, anither quick question what are the akg c214s like im thinking about getting a stereo pair and the seem like a good price, the c414 are just to expensive:)

  • @MrHatMan94 I can't really describe 'what they're like' but I think the C214 is a great mic and sounds great in many applications (vocals/guitars/drums). and it is a good alternative for the more expensive C414's and I understand they even share the same capsule. keep in mind that the C414 can switch pickup patterns and the C214 can't.

  • @jgdevries yeh i understand that i have been lucky enough to use some before they are quiete exceptional mics the 414s, thanks for the help and keeep up the covers :D

  • Ongelofelijk!

Fucking boeiend, laat ze lullen man.

    Keep it going! =)

  • @DrummerDaan thnx man, toffe reactie! =]

  • Netjes, Jarno! Klinkt erg lekker!

  • @plokkum eh Ferdi, thnx!

  • hey jarno

    mooi gedaan!!

    groet tom

  • @tummyikke thnx man =]

  • claukerd:P

  • he Jarno, kennen elkaar niet erg goed. alleen van gezicht , maar je maakt prachtige muziek man.
