dead sticks get caught sometimes in living branches of growing plants and trees, sometimes these sticks can be pretty big and build up, this tangling makes it harder for trees to grow to their full potential, this can be gathered for firewood without cutting trees, and it actually helps the trees, and more luscious and wholesome forest growth, since the healthy growth of the forest we can sense and is connected intimately to Our life, all are aided and none harmed - the karma free tree hippie

the cops/military etc always say they felt threatened..well i feel threatened when they show up in the woods with machine guns ? that works both ways.
@namelesszazen They had an excuse for saying they felt threatened. Listen to the diatribe in the audio on this tape. Someone obviously forgot his peace and love hat back in his vehicle.
why are the police there in the first place ? why do they show weapons and force to a group of people who have no weapons ? they are bringing the voilence and causing a problem. If they were not there in the woods there would be no aggression or incident. It says people have a right to peaceably assemble. it doesnt say how many or who or where. The military types are not wanted nor needed in the woods.
LOL, this video rocks. Pure awesome. Enviro-commies vs. fascist-police staters. The old power struggle between commies and nazis. I feel sorry for the horses, and any other flora/fauna that may have witnessed these. I don't much care to cheer for either group of people, so i'll cheer for liberty!
i really dont see what problem was,why were the police trying to stop them from passing in the first place? somebody please inform me!! thanks highplainsdrifter
An AR-based rifle is just an assault rifle when it's fully automatic. Although it does essentially the same thing as a machine gun at that point, it's far from a machine gun and it's excessive to call it one, because it doesn't have the proper mechanics to lay down lead like a true machine gun. Yeah, even an assault rifle is pretty menacing when you consider it's just a bunch of hippies that mean no harm, but a real machine gun is an entirely different story.
@kevinsupra90 An Ar-based rifle is a machine gun when it's switched to full auto. No way of telling from this video if it's semi auto or selective fire.
what the other side of this story is including the events leading up to this confrontation. I keep an open mind knowing that I have seen documentation of past gatherings that contrasts with t he views expressed by others here.
Having seen the information available to me, as a citizen I believe the special use requirement for events of this size and potential impact should be enforced. If that is not acceptable to the "family" then lease some private land somewhere.
chip on the shoulder attitude presented by the Rainbow Family. They want confrontation such as the one depicted in this video. Most natural resource agency officers are not interested in commenting on videos like this because of the nature of internet sties like this one where a great deal of people watch highly edited and biased videos and reach conclusions without all the available facts. So a rebuttal by the officers shown here is not likely. Being retired I don't have a means of finding out
with the results of the Rainbow Family gathering. As a retired Forest Service officer I felt rewarded by accommodating a wide variety of groups with a wide range of lifestyles, philosophies, and political views. I helped organizers fit their event to the land and facilities located on the land I was helping to manage. I received praise from organizers who related such statements as "I didn't think you would be so welcoming and would help us so much."
@retiredranger1999 how could our shoulders not hold chips? they've been nailed in for far too long. and leasing land would defeat the entire point. 'this land is my land, this land is your land'.
of cases. The collection of federal land management law enforcement officers from the BLM, U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, state/local officers, and emergency medical personnel work together with the organizers to help make the event successful. They are as tolerant of behavior as is possible during the event while responding to drug/alcohol emergencies, domestic violence, dehydration, and other types of incidents. This event greatly contrasts . .
. . . has problems but the organizers cooperate with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), who administer the land in the Black Rock desert. They obtain the legally required special use permit for the event. These permits are in compliance with the constitution and are accepted by a wide variety of groups exercising the rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights in cities and rural areas. No permit, no protest or parade. The permit requirement has been upheld by the Supreme Court in dozens of . .
. . . on many occasions in the middle of the night in very remote country facing felons, people high on drugs, camps with more weapons than people, etc,, I choose to believe the information they have given me rather than the comments I see here. Natural resource agency law enforcement personnel are assaulted at a higher per capita rate than municipal officers. We are there for a single purpose, to protect the resources from people and vice versa.
rea1001 yes I do have evidence to support my "generalizations." I have read the reports complete with still photos and videos. A former co-worker of mine has worked this event 4-5 times as well as the Burning Man event in northern Nevada 2 times. Another former co-worker of mine, now retired, worked the Rainbow Family gathering back in the 80's and perhaps late 70's. I don't recall how long this event has been held. I rely on their information and given that I've trusted my life with them . . .
rick908 you haveno idea .... there is a clean up and the forest is better off after family leaves ....no trash and less fire hazards because limbs are cleared and burned in contained fire.... btw everyone shits in holes and buries their own shit and dog shit... its natural and good for soil... if you did any research at al yu would know this
Roadblock at the entrance?....just complete and utter bullshit. I wonder how many individuals had their vehicles searched illegally? Don't even try to say those bastards have probable cause to search, we all know that's bullshit....long hair and slovenly appearance IS NOT PROBABLE CAUSE!
What a colossal waste of resources and manpower, disgusting really.
The only reason police are needed at these gatherings is to arrest local drunken hicks that show up and cause trouble.
@Rick908 rick908 you haveno idea .... there is a clean up and the forest is better off after family leaves ....no trash and less fire hazards because limbs are cleared and burned in contained fire.... btw everyone shits in holes and buries their own shit and dog shit... its natural and good for soil... if you did any research at al yu would know this
"We love you!!!" And then "Where's your swastika?" and "You better get outta here while you can, motherfucker?" Well which is it? That doesn't sound like love to me. What a bunch of douchebags...
This is so hilarious, I'm CRACKIN' up larfing - peace, brotherhood and up yours! Its so funny - seriously what's the fuss about - why can't the people be left alone to get on and do their thing - as long as they clean up the site afterwards! Ha! Still laughing thanx.
These people seemed harmless enough until dude was like "I want to hang every one of you mother fuxxers.." But what were these people doing that required such a strong response from Law Enforcement? I don't understand any of it... It looks like either side of this confrontation could have deescalated this situation any time they wanted to.
They are just speaking in the same language Law Enforcement use and understand. the language is called FORCE and THREAT. If they aren't speaking the language then the LEO's wont listen to them. There have been attempts to reason with LEO's but that didn't seem to work out too well.
Crimes are committed at these gatherings by some of the participants that do require law enforcement action. It isn't all peace and love.
These "gatherings" cost taxpayers several hundred thousand dollars each year. It isn't fair to the rest of us to have to foot the bill. I think the Rainbow Family should hold their event on private land one of these years, if they can find a landowner who would allow it.
@retiredranger1999 Do you have any evidence other than generalizations? Its public property, and they clean up after themselves. I have seen this myself. Hundreds of thousands of dollars? Do you have any evidence to support such claims? The reason in which they choose public land is the size of public land to accommodate their size, and the fact that private land carries liability issues.
CuChull.... This is not a legal event. The Rainbow Family refuses to get a permit for their annual gathering which is required since this is public land. If you disagree with that then you also disagree with the Supreme Court, which has made great numbers of decisions that affirm the right of the government to require permits on public lands, facilities, highways, and streets.
These people were a threat, unarmed or not. Try putting yourself in their shoes
for all their "peace love and harmony" rhetoric, these people are the most judgmental I've ever met. They definitely have a "uniform"...especially for women... whether they are willing to admit it or not. If you're not wearing your hippy-dippy skirt and long, flowing hair they glare at you like you're the devil.
@retiredranger1999, In regards to the specific situation on film here, the police have formed an illegal blockade to the gathering and at any point could have alleviated the problem by taking it down, particularly before the cries of "circle, circle." One group was well armed (with well armed back-up). The other was not. If an armed group is blocking peaceable Americans' ability to freely congregate, what recourse do the unarmed have?
I can't speak to the reason for the "roadblock" in the first place. As for the person taking the video and the people with him, this was not a peaceful gathering, thus the 2nd amendment does not cover this this assembly . The crowd's intentions was to have a confrontation. he man taking the video especially, with statements such as "we are going to get you" and "remember Custer's last stand."
The calls to "circle, circle" is meant to initiate surrounding the officers thus preventing their egress, which is a threat to their safety. Seeing this developing the officers withdrew. They handled the situation with considerable restrain and did not want the situation to escalate where they would need to discharge their ns. Past experience with this event requires that a show of force is necessary as their have been assaults on officers. These gatherings cost taxpayers $100,000's.
When officers are surrounded by greater numbers of people shouting threats this is life threatening. Put yourself in their shoes, imagine yourself being surrounded like this.I know that in my career I've had entire families gather with threats directed my way while writing a citation to a member of their group. The citation for a person who knowingly violated the law, a law written to prevent resource damage.
Where were the people assigned to control the members seen in other videos?
@retiredranger1999 What threat? The threat a fist poses against a shotgun? Would you prefer at least one officer per every 2 protesters, or do you prefer a more intimate approach, with a 1:1 ratio? The crowd was demonstrating a in a peaceable way. You have the occasional nut job who likes to whip out his balls and talk big, like that cameraman. People like that are the reason cops "claim" assemblies like this are NOT peaceful assemblies and there fore are not protected by law. Says the armed...
@retiredranger1999 The only reason the gatherings cost so much money is because you people are there. The gathering takes care of itself. The drunkards stay far away from the gathering and alcohol is not allowed in the main area. It is a very peaceful place, when you have people walking around with big guns it definitely changes things. After the gathering is over everything is picked up and the place is clean.
@Dudethatstrippin They sure did! I'm all for the idea of sending these clow- I mean rainbow hippies in the mountains of Afghanistan to work their magic on the Taliban hiding out there!
We could airlift a few of their busted-ass buses over there, give them some bullhorns (to make certain the Taliban can easily hear their message of peace and love) and even stage a peace rally, replete with live performances by Joan Baez, and a nice closing ceremony with a heartfelt Jane Fonda speech!
@chris5a3w Let's see: Here's one of my favorite quotes from the Rainbow cameraman - "Boy I'd like to hang everyone of you motherfuckers - we know who you are, we're gonna getcha" And no, that's not a cop talking. These dirtbags (Rainbows) come to every town, trample a wildlife habitat so that it looks like a 3-ring-circus left the forest, loot local dumpsters, sell drugs, panhandle (really?? they CHOOSE this lifestyle, and expect working people to support their vagrancy?)...
@0AllForNaught0 ... they plug hospital emergency rooms for free meals making it hard to deal with real emergencies, they steal toilet paper from businesses, they go to produce and meat sections of stores, poke holes in packaged meats so the stores have to throw it out so they can fish it out of the dumpsters later, they give drugs to children, they keep animals that they can't feed, etc.
@0AllForNaught0 ahhh! the picture is becoming clearer, yes I heard the comments by cameraman and thought they were a bit over the top, not fitting the situation, the impression was given they were marching for some noble cause. your comments suggest they were merely moving en masse to trash some other location.
Hey Rainbows! would you care to exonerate yourselves from or explain the behaviours mentioned by @0AllForNaught0 ? Are you peace loving self sufficient eco friendly's or what?
@chris5a3w Basically they're a bunch of filthy low-life hypocrites that espouse peace, when their real aim (as perfectly captured in this video) is to instigate violence in a vain effort to lure law enforcement into a "gotcha" situation. Luckily, police aren't that stupid and the Rainbows are largely unsuccessful. If the police "wear swastikas" like this asshole with the camera espouses, you'd hear about these walking homeless bums getting beat or shot all the time. But you don't, do you?
@chris5a3w They wouldn't answer that honestly. But look at it this way: they create a counter-culture with no enforceable rules or regulations that operates in complete anarchy in the wilderness. Does it really surprise you that a child might have easy access to drugs?
@0AllForNaught0 you may be right about honest answers indeed, I would like to see all parties engage in healthy debate in order to pursue awareness and enlightenment and decrease ill feeling between individuals. Clearly you have a common enemy, it is neither you nor them, but a government who unfairly disadvantages both parties by overtaxing individuals and families, in favour of corporations. I have little admiration for those who use or promotes the use of mind altering substances.
@chris5a3w You mean the corporations that provide you with goods and services, like the computer you used to peruse Youtube? Or the corporations that hire millions of people so they can participate in trade (cash) to better their lives and the lives of their families? I'm not stupid - I know corporations engage in nefarious behavior at times, but at least with them we control them with our dollars.
The government DICTATES how our earned money (taxes) is spent. And imprison you for not paying.
@0AllForNaught0 No I do not mean corporations that manufacture goods that have real value to us in life and help us get our jobs done, try biotech, pharmaceuticals, real estate, and governments that allow banks to print money from nothing. Governments that allow their nations to be chained to debt. The nefarious behaviour is responsible for the worldwide recession. We do not control them with our money, more-so they are encouraged by it.
@0AllForNaught0 why would access be anymore easy than in a suburban home? It all depends on whos raising them and i would think that these people would actually be less likely to give there children drugs than say some white trash idiot in north carolina. or where ever. Don't criticize what you can't understand.
@SeaHorseGypsy Fuck you. Go to one of the Rainbow gatherings and see for yourself. I've observed TWO such gatherings now, and I'm criticizing EXACTLY what I understand. They don't even clean up their shit/stuff after they leave, which they ESPOUSE to do. They left irrigation ditches (for bathing and for defecating) all over the place, and poison the creeks with their "all natural soaps" which contain lye - a hazardous, corrosive to organic material.
@0AllForNaught0 Yeah well they aren't nearly as hazardous to the environment as people who live in a normal society. Why are we even arguing about this? this is completely stupid. good bye.
@SeaHorseGypsy Really??? How exactly am I more hazardous to the environment than these thieving dirtbags that often ride around in busted-ass vans/buses/wagons that break down every 20 miles? I flush my turds down the toilet, and my garbage winds up in a landfill instead of the local forest. Also: check the local hospital next time they come to your neighborhood, they have all sorts of diseases, and illnesses. And they LOVE free healthcare! If they wanna rough it - stay out of civilization.
@0AllForNaught0 Wow, you have a serious grudge. You've judged an entire group for the misbehaviors of a select individuals within it. As for the trash/hygiene issue? Animals poop. Wanna diaper them? Potty train the bears? Lye is used in the making of soap, but if left in high residual concentrations, would burn the skin when used. This isn't worse than the pesticides, herbicides, preservatives, and other synthetics our society uses. Organic trash biodegrades when exposed to the elements also.
@richfiles You mean DDT? In Sri Lanka, in 1948, there were 2.8 million malaria cases and 7,300 malaria deaths. With widespread DDT use, malaria cases fell to 17 and no deaths in 1963. After DDT use was discontinued, Sri Lankan malaria cases rose to 2.5 million in the years 1968 and 1969, and the disease remains a killer in Sri Lanka today.
Put that in your bong and smoke it. It's scientific. And it's fact. Fuck you, and die - you're a bigger hazard than those chemicals.
@0AllForNaught0 Wow are you sickly judgmental. I do not use drugs, I do not smoke bongs, I even avoid acetaminophen unless I have an extraordinary headache, Whine about malaria all you like, but wait until the honeybees and other crucial pollinators are reduced in number to such an extreme, that human food sources fail, and hundreds of millions, even billions eventually starve. The need to not destroy the ecosystem is scientific. It supports our survival. Your antagonism is a hazard. You fool.
@richfiles If you could post one, SINGLE, SOLITARY incident that backs up that claim, I'd like to hear it. In most areas honey bees are raised and nurtured EXPRESSLY for the purpose of maintaining a balanced flora.
If I'm so sick and judgmental, why don't you posit HOW I'm sick and judgmental? I'm sickened by millions dying because of sick bastards like yourself that don't understand that this planet is our ONLY source of sustenance, and that we NEED to use renewable resources to survive.
Loss of honeybees forces manual pollination in China
newsweek com/2008/06/14/stung-by-bees.html
Irresponsible use of chemicals is destroying our ecosystem. That will ripple into the economy, and finally, it'll ripple into society and civilization itself.
Stop contradicting yourself. Your words are just angry spin. Poison doesn't just kill the bad insects.
@richfiles All right, let's do it questionnaire style.
Can honey bees be transplanted, and then harvested to mass-pollinate?
a.) yes
b.) no
Can trees/plants be harvested and re-planted?
a.) yes
b.) no
And you're communist/marxist viewpoints regarding expending millions of lives to save ecosystems unperturbed by man is well noted. I got you now. Cows fart too much. Trees have feelings. Kill humans to save the earth - brilliant.
I wouldn't cite propaganda machines like Newsweek and BBC btw.
@0AllForNaught0 You assume there will always be parts of the earth to take from, to fill in what we've destroyed in another. Don't you think if polinators could survive in the toxicity left in these devastated regions, that they would do so. It could take years, or even decades for recovery. You seem to think that it's OK to destroy one part of the Earth, cause you can pick from another to restore it. I won't continue to argue with the mindless. You are beyond help. You win the stupid contest.
@0AllForNaught0 Yes to both, but realize that not every tree survives transplantation, and seeds take years to grow. In the case of both bees and trees, if poisons in the environment killed the ones their replacing... What keeps those poisons from killing off the new ones. Do you clear cut, render wasteland small portions of the earth, move on, then fix it after it gets better? Seriously... SERIOUSLY! A person with a missing or extra chromosome or two could outthink your logic!
@richfiles Those people that died because of DDT regulations and all out bans were Real. Human. Beings.
Dead. Because of closed minded psychopaths like yourself. You can't cite one solitary crumb of evidence that such regulations help ANYTHING, and in fact, farmland and forest that have used pesticides have done nothing but flourished in EVERY case.
There are as many insects destructive to flora as nourishing it.
You're a callous bastard for ignoring that kind of human loss.
@0AllForNaught0 Every case but the ones above. How long have honey bees existed, and now, with the industrialization and mass expansion of the human population... Now suddenly, we have all these ecological collapses and failures. We must be stewards of the earth. We must take care of it. Your proposal to pump poison into the environment to save a few million lives in the here and now is irresponsible, compared to the countless more that will die if ecological collapse happens.
@0AllForNaught0 Trying to find any sane thought, or any semblance of reason within your judgmentally closed mind, is All For Naught.
Get it, ha. I'll laugh quietly to myself, because if I LOLed, you'd probably want to kill me while raping me or some other ridiculously blown out of proportion reaction. You did say you wanted to F* me and die. Didn't know you swung that way. Not my thing, personally. Probably due to a mental imbalance anyway. I'll pretend to shed a tear as if I actually cared.
@0AllForNaught0 Please, just go back to your music, cause you seriously stink at thinking. Go please your fans, and stop trying to puff your chest here with only one sided arguments and hatred. Stick to your alt rock, kaleidoscope graphics, Christopher Walken illusions, and spinning "All For Naught" album covers, and please just dump the douchebaggery.
@FrostedCapybaras Yeah, it was easier than writing (from Merriam Webster's): to adopt or give support to (a cause, ideal, etc.).
But I can rewrite it so it's easier for you to understand: "They don't even clean up their shit/stuff after they leave, even though they support the ideal of being environmentally/eco friendly.
Problem solved. And you learned something today - which will help me sleep better!
Why are you gonna taunt a bunch of idiot cops with guns? Just leave them alone.. They have guns and they will use them without even thinking about it..
Dude, I assume you're the one filming who's talking shit like "I would love to hang every one of you motherfuckers"... are you an idiot? I'm with you guys but come on dude.. just ignore them. Why even walk towards them at all???
No man on earth shall impede the Spirit of God at this late hour. the action of our gov is no longer to be tolerated john 14:26 is comming, The revelationof the anti-christ is here
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
wow front gate must have been wild that day.... long live the real circle. btw to be a part of the family all you need is a belly button, and it works better if you get rid of all the extra baggage.
And they wonder why they got pepper bullets shot at them in 2008? WTF was peaceful about this? I can see why the authorities are going hard line against the gathering in some locations. Scaring horses and breaking through a roadblock? Oh, but when LEOS peacefully enter a camp it is Big Brother, right?
No wonder why some are leaving the family after stuff like this. I bet next time it wont be horses it will be SUV's with Guns drawn.
What a shameful display of "Peace and Unity". Much respect to the family members who called for circle. I am just sad that so few can hear the voices of the Peacemakers...and even fewer will respond. I no longer attend because I refuse to be associated with such disgraceful behavior....I Love you ALL anyway. Blessings on the future.
He didn't threaten anyone, he merely stated his opinion and threw in a few choice vulgarities. Figure it out. My god, are you that brainwashed? He didn't say anything illegal, the first amendment is still hanging on by a thread, when it is gone it won't be coming back.
He was telling the officers to "get out of here while you still can" What the hell do you think he meant!? I know that he is way to burnt out and weak to actually hurt the officers, but it with that many people it could be crazys. The Rainbow people are messy and leave a huge worn patch on the earth. I just wish they would gather somewere paved. My dirt bike causes WAY less damage to the forest than they do, but I am the one that gets kicked off! And I pay to have the trails maintained!
Fortunately for those keystone kops, they took his advice and fled with their tails between their legs.
Keep your bike on the trails because it does way more damage than a large group of people.
So apparently you believe that paving the ground is a good way to keep people from tromping it all up. Brilliant, like I said, go back to elementary school.
I love how you make shit up. I wish they would gather on a paved surface (like a fair ground), so that the acres of land that they tromp down would be kept in good shape. I never said that I wanted everyting paved. I live in the area of Wyoming they have been here twice in the last 15 years. Both times they have been horrible. They take whatever thay want and when they get caught they start saying stupis shit like "hey brother we all are family, and families share don't they." Scum!!
That's a whole different issue, the point is that people still have a right to peaceably assemble in this country, once that right goes away it will never come back. You might consider standing up for that right before you find yourself without it.
He didn't threaten anyone?? What do you call "I'd like to hang every one of you m*ther f*ckers. We're gonna get you. We know who you are." My god, are YOU that brainwashed?
"I would like to..." is a far cry from "I am going to..."
The cameraman did say, "we're gonna get you". I said that while playing monopoly, does that mean I threatened someone?? It depends on what you mean by "get"
again, "we know who you are" does not imply any sort of threat. please just hear what is actually said, not what you believe you may have heard, get it??
If you think you can be arrested for talking. I hope you arent American. Its your First Amendment Right. Read your damn Bill of Rights for Gods sake and quit watching MTV and the News.
hippys don't smoke crack. crack is a destructive substance. they use substances like psilocybin mushrooms and lsd (acid) as tools to learn about themselves. obviously you have no idea what you're talking about.
I lived on the street and attended the Gathering for years-plenty of so called hippies smoke crack...they are the ones who give real hippies a bad name. That guy screaming on the video was shit faced drunk, I dont think he'll be learning about himself anytime soon.
Needs to be more protests like this. These boys got balls knowing this could get bad.Riots ending in hospitalised pigs will get the change we want faster than bowing to these jack booted morons.
no what it is is a excess show of force (attempt..lol) by the cops. why were the cops trying to stop these ppl?? all they were doing was walking down some old dirt raoad in bum fuck egypt. its fucked up ppl like you that think everything is and needs to be controlled by the gov't. i bet ur also in favor of rfid chips implanted at birth so the gov't can always know where u are. you know they can turn ppl off if they want to once u get one of those rfid chips implanted in you?
@Viandanterosso we build their penitentiary, we build their schools, their brainwash propaganda, tryin' to make us the fool. but hatred's the reward for our love, yellin' at us of their god above. we gonna chase those crazy bal'heads right outta, right outta, right outta town. yeah mon.
Peace, something you don't understand! Confronting Police face to face calling them expletives, warning them to move out of the way isn't a peaceful protest, thats a prelude to a violent result from either side.
You have to be aware of things like this. If you truely promote peace. You'd do almost everything to keep it. Only when you truely have to fight back, is when you do so. Otherwise things like this; Babylon wasnt doing anything. They werent being hostile. The Rainbow Family were taking Babylons place.
Peaceful my ass. I'm not a cop fan; but this type of shit just breeds tension. "We'll hang you." " You better get out of here while you still can." Rebels without a clue.
Oh blah blah blah history. I agree with those commenting that the man screaming "you'd better get the f**k outta here while you can", etc., just makes Rainbow Family look like a bunch of idiot thugs. And for the record, "WE LOVE YOU!!" is anything but loving when it's being screamed in your face. haha

dead sticks get caught sometimes in living branches of growing plants and trees, sometimes these sticks can be pretty big and build up, this tangling makes it harder for trees to grow to their full potential, this can be gathered for firewood without cutting trees, and it actually helps the trees, and more luscious and wholesome forest growth, since the healthy growth of the forest we can sense and is connected intimately to Our life, all are aided and none harmed - the karma free tree hippie

why are the police there in the first place ? why do they show weapons and force to a group of people who have no weapons ? they are bringing the voilence and causing a problem. The military types are not wanted nor needed in the woods.

They are just speaking in the same language Law Enforcement use and understand. the language is called FORCE and THREAT. If they aren't speaking the language then the LEO's wont listen to them. There have been attempts to reason with LEO's but that didn't seem to work out too well.
QunahMelchizedec 1 year ago
Crimes are committed at these gatherings by some of the participants that do require law enforcement action. It isn't all peace and love.
These "gatherings" cost taxpayers several hundred thousand dollars each year. It isn't fair to the rest of us to have to foot the bill. I think the Rainbow Family should hold their event on private land one of these years, if they can find a landowner who would allow it.
retiredranger1999 1 year ago
@retiredranger1999 Do you have any evidence other than generalizations? Its public property, and they clean up after themselves. I have seen this myself. Hundreds of thousands of dollars? Do you have any evidence to support such claims? The reason in which they choose public land is the size of public land to accommodate their size, and the fact that private land carries liability issues.
rea1001 1 year ago

These gatherings cost taxpayers $100,000's.
retiredranger1999 1 year ago
When officers are surrounded by greater numbers of people shouting threats this is life threatening. Put yourself in their shoes, imagine yourself being surrounded like this.I know that in my career I've had entire families gather with threats directed my way while writing a citation to a member of their group. The citation for a person who knowingly violated the law, a law written to prevent resource damage.
Where were the people assigned to control the members seen in other videos?
retiredranger1999 1 year ago
@retiredranger1999 What threat? The threat a fist poses against a shotgun? Would you prefer at least one officer per every 2 protesters, or do you prefer a more intimate approach, with a 1:1 ratio? The crowd was demonstrating a in a peaceable way. You have the occasional nut job who likes to whip out his balls and talk big, like that cameraman. People like that are the reason cops "claim" assemblies like this are NOT peaceful assemblies and there fore are not protected by law. Says the armed...
richfiles 1 year ago
@retiredranger1999 The only reason the gatherings cost so much money is because you people are there. The gathering takes care of itself. The drunkards stay far away from the gathering and alcohol is not allowed in the main area. It is a very peaceful place, when you have people walking around with big guns it definitely changes things. After the gathering is over everything is picked up and the place is clean.

Do you Rainbow's allow your children to have access to drugs?
chris5a3w 1 year ago
@chris5a3w They wouldn't answer that honestly. But look at it this way: they create a counter-culture with no enforceable rules or regulations that operates in complete anarchy in the wilderness. Does it really surprise you that a child might have easy access to drugs?
0AllForNaught0 1 year ago
@0AllForNaught0 you may be right about honest answers indeed, I would like to see all parties engage in healthy debate in order to pursue awareness and enlightenment and decrease ill feeling between individuals. Clearly you have a common enemy, it is neither you nor them, but a government who unfairly disadvantages both parties by overtaxing individuals and families, in favour of corporations. I have little admiration for those who use or promotes the use of mind altering substances.
chris5a3w 1 year ago
@chris5a3w You mean the corporations that provide you with goods and services, like the computer you used to peruse Youtube? Or the corporations that hire millions of people so they can participate in trade (cash) to better their lives and the lives of their families? I'm not stupid - I know corporations engage in nefarious behavior at times, but at least with them we control them with our dollars.
The government DICTATES how our earned money (taxes) is spent. And imprison you for not paying.
0AllForNaught0 1 year ago
@0AllForNaught0 No I do not mean corporations that manufacture goods that have real value to us in life and help us get our jobs done, try biotech, pharmaceuticals, real estate, and governments that allow banks to print money from nothing. Governments that allow their nations to be chained to debt. The nefarious behaviour is responsible for the worldwide recession. We do not control them with our money, more-so they are encouraged by it.
chris5a3w 1 year ago
@0AllForNaught0 why would access be anymore easy than in a suburban home? It all depends on whos raising them and i would think that these people would actually be less likely to give there children drugs than say some white trash idiot in north carolina. or where ever. Don't criticize what you can't understand.
SeaHorseGypsy 1 year ago
@SeaHorseGypsy Fuck you. Go to one of the Rainbow gatherings and see for yourself. I've observed TWO such gatherings now, and I'm criticizing EXACTLY what I understand. They don't even clean up their shit/stuff after they leave, which they ESPOUSE to do. They left irrigation ditches (for bathing and for defecating) all over the place, and poison the creeks with their "all natural soaps" which contain lye - a hazardous, corrosive to organic material.
0AllForNaught0 1 year ago
@0AllForNaught0 Yeah well they aren't nearly as hazardous to the environment as people who live in a normal society. Why are we even arguing about this? this is completely stupid. good bye.
SeaHorseGypsy 1 year ago
@SeaHorseGypsy Really??? How exactly am I more hazardous to the environment than these thieving dirtbags that often ride around in busted-ass vans/buses/wagons that break down every 20 miles? I flush my turds down the toilet, and my garbage winds up in a landfill instead of the local forest. Also: check the local hospital next time they come to your neighborhood, they have all sorts of diseases, and illnesses. And they LOVE free healthcare! If they wanna rough it - stay out of civilization.
0AllForNaught0 1 year ago
@0AllForNaught0 Wow, you have a serious grudge. You've judged an entire group for the misbehaviors of a select individuals within it. As for the trash/hygiene issue? Animals poop. Wanna diaper them? Potty train the bears? Lye is used in the making of soap, but if left in high residual concentrations, would burn the skin when used. This isn't worse than the pesticides, herbicides, preservatives, and other synthetics our society uses. Organic trash biodegrades when exposed to the elements also.
richfiles 1 year ago
@richfiles You mean DDT? In Sri Lanka, in 1948, there were 2.8 million malaria cases and 7,300 malaria deaths. With widespread DDT use, malaria cases fell to 17 and no deaths in 1963. After DDT use was discontinued, Sri Lankan malaria cases rose to 2.5 million in the years 1968 and 1969, and the disease remains a killer in Sri Lanka today.
Put that in your bong and smoke it. It's scientific. And it's fact. Fuck you, and die - you're a bigger hazard than those chemicals.
0AllForNaught0 1 year ago
@0AllForNaught0 Wow are you sickly judgmental. I do not use drugs, I do not smoke bongs, I even avoid acetaminophen unless I have an extraordinary headache, Whine about malaria all you like, but wait until the honeybees and other crucial pollinators are reduced in number to such an extreme, that human food sources fail, and hundreds of millions, even billions eventually starve. The need to not destroy the ecosystem is scientific. It supports our survival. Your antagonism is a hazard. You fool.
richfiles 1 year ago
@richfiles If you could post one, SINGLE, SOLITARY incident that backs up that claim, I'd like to hear it. In most areas honey bees are raised and nurtured EXPRESSLY for the purpose of maintaining a balanced flora.
If I'm so sick and judgmental, why don't you posit HOW I'm sick and judgmental? I'm sickened by millions dying because of sick bastards like yourself that don't understand that this planet is our ONLY source of sustenance, and that we NEED to use renewable resources to survive.

0AllForNaught0 1 year ago
@0AllForNaught0 You assume there will always be parts of the earth to take from, to fill in what we've destroyed in another. Don't you think if polinators could survive in the toxicity left in these devastated regions, that they would do so. It could take years, or even decades for recovery. You seem to think that it's OK to destroy one part of the Earth, cause you can pick from another to restore it. I won't continue to argue with the mindless. You are beyond help. You win the stupid contest.
richfiles 1 year ago
@0AllForNaught0 Yes to both, but realize that not every tree survives transplantation, and seeds take years to grow. In the case of both bees and trees, if poisons in the environment killed the ones their replacing... What keeps those poisons from killing off the new ones. Do you clear cut, render wasteland small portions of the earth, move on, then fix it after it gets better? Seriously... SERIOUSLY! A person with a missing or extra chromosome or two could outthink your logic!
richfiles 1 year ago
@richfiles Those people that died because of DDT regulations and all out bans were Real. Human. Beings.
Dead. Because of closed minded psychopaths like yourself. You can't cite one solitary crumb of evidence that such regulations help ANYTHING, and in fact, farmland and forest that have used pesticides have done nothing but flourished in EVERY case.
There are as many insects destructive to flora as nourishing it.
You're a callous bastard for ignoring that kind of human loss.
0AllForNaught0 1 year ago
@0AllForNaught0 Every case but the ones above. How long have honey bees existed, and now, with the industrialization and mass expansion of the human population... Now suddenly, we have all these ecological collapses and failures. We must be stewards of the earth. We must take care of it. Your proposal to pump poison into the environment to save a few million lives in the here and now is irresponsible, compared to the countless more that will die if ecological collapse happens.

That dude with the camera was threatening them the whole time. They should have taken him to jail.
5hundie 2 years ago

5hundie 2 years ago
Fortunately for those keystone kops, they took his advice and fled with their tails between their legs.
Keep your bike on the trails because it does way more damage than a large group of people.
So apparently you believe that paving the ground is a good way to keep people from tromping it all up. Brilliant, like I said, go back to elementary school.
PostToastie 2 years ago

We know who you are." My god, are YOU that brainwashed?
couchpants123 2 years ago
"I would like to..." is a far cry from "I am going to..."
The cameraman did say, "we're gonna get you". I said that while playing monopoly, does that mean I threatened someone?? It depends on what you mean by "get"
again, "we know who you are" does not imply any sort of threat. please just hear what is actually said, not what you believe you may have heard, get it??
PostToastie 2 years ago
You're right. This is exactly like playing monopoly. I don't know what I was thinking.
couchpants123 2 years ago 2
No-one else knows what you were thinking, either.

If you think you can be arrested for talking. I hope you arent American. Its your First Amendment Right. Read your damn Bill of Rights for Gods sake and quit watching MTV and the News.

Having one's personal rights violated is enough to drive anyone mad. I praise those patriots who stand up against tyranny and oppression.

TheBernice 2 years ago
How many of them were on weed, acid, or crack at the time?
SozImRushing 2 years ago
hippys don't smoke crack. crack is a destructive substance. they use substances like psilocybin mushrooms and lsd (acid) as tools to learn about themselves. obviously you have no idea what you're talking about.
Maladora 2 years ago
I lived on the street and attended the Gathering for years-plenty of so called hippies smoke crack...they are the ones who give real hippies a bad name. That guy screaming on the video was shit faced drunk, I dont think he'll be learning about himself anytime soon.

I dont understand why there was a confrontation to begin with....?
enjoistaind 2 years ago 3
Needs to be more protests like this. These boys got balls knowing this could get bad.Riots ending in hospitalised pigs will get the change we want faster than bowing to these jack booted morons.

Unity is strenght, did you know?
Viandanterosso 2 years ago

RastafariPoet 2 years ago 5
@RastafariPoet Babylon was blocking the road & pointing guns. the family on the trod. why babylon block the road & point gun?
Marleyites 1 year ago
Peaceful my ass. I'm not a cop fan; but this type of shit just breeds tension. "We'll hang you." " You better get out of here while you still can." Rebels without a clue.

You dont understand your history, our this country very much.
rea1001 2 years ago
Oh blah blah blah history. I agree with those commenting that the man screaming "you'd better get the f**k outta here while you can", etc., just makes Rainbow Family look like a bunch of idiot thugs. And for the record, "WE LOVE YOU!!" is anything but loving when it's being screamed in your face. haha
