@razvandincarec actually nowadays those who use this technique REALLY use this technique. i think the most brilliant usages occurred in the Fellowship of the Rings, and The Lion King. Even though that was animated.
I always love watching a scene where this effect is being used. It is almost like a feeling of the "character" (usually a person) either detaching from, of coming into a situation in the scene from the viewers 3rd person perspective. Nice job though, even if there was shaking.
