As a general question (not even knowing if this is the right way to put it) ; in the 'solo's' 270 cross; what kind of sight picture or cues are the guys looking at for clearance.
@FXXUXXBXXAXXR: what score do you have to get on asvab?
JM: You have to be an officer to even get into pilot training and I don't think officers use the ASVAB. To be an officer you have to graduate college... a military academy or a civilian college and then go through officer candidate school. You can see here you would be competing with the best of the best. You have to start out with an ego big enough to think you can do it, and then see if you really have the right stuff. Lots don't.
Not that it's important, but I'm fairly certain this is video from #5 and not #6. #5 flies the Fortus inverted and you can tell that this pilot is the one making the lead calls.
ive been watching and studying the blues since my first show in 1990 over lake washington and to this day i never miss a practice show or a show in general when they come to seattle, that is my christmas, watching these guys try to perform the perfect show
The blue angels use a very powerful, misleading tool for recruitment into the marines not the air force.. Just be careful. These guys graduated in the top 1 % in their class and MOSt people will never end up where their at. They still kick ass to watch though
Although most of the Team's pilots come straight from the regular Navy and are some of the best, I was an enlisted man with no prior flight training, I struggled and worked hard through flight school. It is possible to be a Blue Angel pilot if you have basic hand to eye coordination and the sheer will to improve as a pilot. I went from being a non-designated deck Seaman to being an FA-18 pilot and Blue Angel. Unfortunately there is no free lunch. There is always a price to pay.
@bryden28 Tell me of this price you had to pay. Watching you flying makes me think the concentration and stress must be high. But inside you are just lovin the hell out of it, right?
this makes me wanna fly with the ys blue angels. we are mirror squadrens of the LOMAC Virtual Blue Angels but our formation flying is a lil more sketchy due to the fact that the game really wasnt built for that kind of flying and another problem is on one persons view they say they are close but in your view you are far from that so its kind of annoying but yeah all the calls and stuff are the same manuvers and everything
Very interesting video. This footage isn't seen much at all to the regular public. I do believe this is Lt. Mark Provo, and Lt. Ryan Scholl in the Opposing Postition.

FXXUXXBXXAXXR 1 year ago
@FXXUXXBXXAXXR Probably around a 75 because you have to be an officer. But I really don't know for sure.
