@Twinedog78 thanks! This one wasn't with the GoPro, though... just used my android phone and the "Tina Time Lapse" app to make a bunch of shots, which I made into a video using Google's Picasa image viewer/editor.
@Twinedog78 oh, oh, gotcha, yeah, right. This is the type of stuff that you can do. For walking, I think anywhere from 2-5spf (seconds per frame) gives a good result. So the GoPro will work perfectly for that!
At 30fps playback, that's a speedup of 60-150x, so if you walk at 3mph, it'll play back at 180-450mph. With more testing with the phone I found that for driving, 2-5spf is way too slow, and results in playback speeds of up to 9000mph! :D

@db94wookie no I realize its the droid but just saying that the effect is what I am looking for in regards to hiking and biking videos.
