Just a bit of trivia....If you have seen both SMTV-Live and Saturday Night Takeaway, you will have noticed that there are some format similarities.....Slap Bang! was the link between the two shows as Ant and Dec began to focus on an older/entire family audience. It wasn't so much that Slap Bang was taken off the air as that it was reformatted and renamed Saturday Night Takeaway.

i am baffled as to why some of ant and dec's shows were fails - this show was so unpopular so taken off air but i can't understand why
same with 'the ant and dec show' and 'ant and dec unzipped' just don't understand why they weren't huge hits
