  • A historic moment as the Conservatives draw level for the first time throughout the night (not including 0)

  • David Cameron is the best since Thatcher - acts like a socialist but is an economist, which gets him loads of votes and means we have had the first leader in 13 years in which we can trust.

  • Wondered what Boss Hawg from the Dukes of Hazzard was up to.

  • I love Doncaster North especially the elected candidate !!

  • @lazytown222 I don't like the MP there, he's a lightweight buffoon.

  • @Dendiol so, I like him but he is not friendly... I dislike unfriendly people and people with Xenophobia (fear of foreigners)

  • To think, looking back, that Nick Clegg was actually a closet Tory then and 'came out' openly after the election. I don't think Clegg should be forced to live in the closet and be ashamed of what he is but he is a complete bastard anyway.

  • If we have AV, we will never have a majority government again, so say NO to AV!

Labour will not win the next election, I just can't see it happening!

  • @SamMitchell90 AV will not necessarily make the government more proportional, so there's no reason to think there will never be another majority. In the majority of seats, AV wouldn't change the result, it may only change the result in marginal seats, where the difference between the top two is small enough for 2nd preference votes to affect them. Labour and Conservative will still have a bigger share of seats than share of votes, but Lib Dems will still be disadvantaged.

  • If anybody wants to see how clear the divide between Scotland and England is look no further than this election

  • @gangstamillion

Ya England had it right, Scotland is living in fantasy-land

  • David Cameron saying Labour has lost its mandate to govern, which of course was right. Pointing out the Tories are set to make its biggest number of gains since 1931, perhaps indicating how biased the constituency boundaries had been in Labour's favour.

    C gain Dover.

Alistair Darling gets his result in Edinburgh SW, small swing to Labour.

  • @lukespencer91 No party won an overall majority, but in my view the party with the most votes and seats has the first right to form a government. Indeed if the voting system is changed we may never have a majority government again.
