My dad just absolutely loves ur music n wen u sing moon shadow it sticks in my head like gum to the pavement . Its a good song and wen I listen to it I keep going on in my head "yes I'm being followed by a moon shadow, moon shadow moon shadow and if I ever lose my eyes hmmm hmm hmm hm hm hm. O if I ever lose my eyes awayay eh eh eh I won't have to cry no more"
Love it, brings back good childhood memories. Love you Cat! And I agree with "Mikeboosh". A true peaceful muslim. Bless this man's heart- he does so much good and I hate the trash-talking I hear about him. :( You still have MANY fans, Mr. Stevens!
@mexman48 Ever heard of a little thing called religious tolerance? From what I heard this country was founded by people who were not allowed to practice the religion they wanted. Oh Arturo, Prince of Irony...
I saw a news reporter ask Yusuf ,at an airport, his opinion of the "fatwa" on S. Rusdie. It was years ago right after the fatwa was issued by Ayatolah Komeini. (Sorry -mis-spelled) He had no "prepared" comment ready and he said he agreed with the fatwa, because it said so in the Koran. I was deeply offended, that HE, of all people, would say such a thing.
I grew up singing this all the time with my mother. It was one of the songs in some songbook or another she had when I was a toddler.
Whenever we got to a new verse, I'd get to pick which body part to sing about. I'd always try to slip things up by suggesting appendix or some silly thing like that.
Good song, and this is the first time I've heard it being sung by anyone other than the duet of my mother and me.
So true matey, if only people would open their minds to different sounz, what enlightment they'd get I'm sure..he was a great showman, and I wasn't even conceived before this came out, but his music was so powerful, that my older siblings subjected me to this music for which I am grateful
Think he got laid more as Cat Stevens or Yusef Islam?
