I may be picking up a 79 NA for 1000$ today, runs pulls good, looks decent, 5 speed. I just want it for a daily driver til I get my WRX runnning again and then I will donate the car to a friend or a shop to have fun with it.

Really You paid too much, but at least you got one. Believe it or not these cars aren't worth much Ive seen people sell em for 16k or more and never sell em close to that price or not sell em at all. Mine was $250 non faded paint, aftermarket wheels, flowmaster exhaust but I guess it depends who you get it from.

When I buy another (coupe this time) its gonna be a 280zx or early 300zx. Anyways, check out my channel to see my car and the amatuer fixing the rust and then having to replace the head gasket.

It sounds pretty good. A few tune up would help a lot. I would put premium gas in a few times to clean the gas line up a little. But looks pretty good. How many miles?
114k miles, i've made a tune-up list, should cost about $450 for tune up. i can send it to you if u want. I'm gona throw in a can of seafoam in the tank, it'll clean the fuel injectors. yea it looks gud cause it's a Z!!!! but u can't see all the rust and flaking in that vid =P. how long have you had yours?
@ponchoyo Thats not a bad price for tune ups. Not bad mileage either. Mine has 86k on it. I have had mine for 3 years now. it only had 79k when I got it. My grandfather paid $500 for it! How much does seafoam run for? Ive never heard of that.
it's a petrol based product, it's like a detergent that cleans up gunk for sure! A can costs like $13 i believe. Totally worth it, cause stuck injectors can cause the headgasket to fail and ruin the engine. why does everyone but me pay $500 or less for a Z :( You can also put it in your engine, but for temporarily; it'll clean up the gunk there too! and then change oil after 400 miles. u don't want loose gunk in there.
ya, a lot of owners got theirs like that. did you mod the stereo system? i want to put in a sony head unit in mine,only i read i have to revamp some stuff for that.
@ponchoyo Yeah I had a pretty cool Dual system with a 10inch sub. Until it got jacked last in Feb, both the stereo and the sub. There is a kit for Z's too mod the radio area since the old radios are a lot smaller.
how'd u install the radio? did you rewire stuff? I just wanna put a sony cheapo head unit in, but i think i will need an amp cause the stock one is too weak?.
@ponchoyo Well you kinda have to play around with it. The wires will be different colors. Trial and error with which wires go with which. but no rewireing though.
