xr650r is a nice and simple bike.i like too a crf 450x or r but that is more racing bike and has quickly service.Anyway honda made good bikes for all categories.

dam i thought my 2-stroke cr250r was bad ass but this thing takes the cake by what im hearing this thing pretty much makes 250's look like bicycles lol but then again these thing are a lot heavyier so a 250 would proabley beat a 650 on the track lol correct me if im wrong lol

@spuds209538 i have owned 250's two stroke and four as well as 450's...i now have my xr650r and after riding this thing around mx and sx tracks every thing eles seems like a bmx with a motor with no power in it...i am 6ft2 110 kgs so this bike is just perfect for me!when i first thought of getting one i thought of them as a big tour big...lol but these bikes when set up right turn in to an absolute mx animal! ive spent a bit on my with complete suspenion change triple clamps better rims,pipe.

Well, not exactly... The XR650R has a pretty unbeatable record of wins at the Baja 1000 and scores of other desert races. The 230F is a nice enough bike but it certainly doesn't put down near the power the big XR does. Open terrain and fast fire roads and that XR650R will EAT a 230F....

i rode my friends 2001xr650r and it was sick. super loud with white bros exhaust! but after many races, my 2006 kx250 still beats it on the drag strip, but i dont have the wide gears since i can only do about 80 with my gearing nad he can do 120 with his.

I have raced a cr500 1/4 mile, kicked his ass. not to mension that a cr500 is a two stroke and two strokes have to be rebilt like every 6 months.

I would really love to see a cr500 do 200km per hour.

Fastest dirtbike I have ever riden. I have a crf450x as well and the xr650r makes it feel like I am driving a pile of shit. What was honda thinking when they stoped making this bike, if it was not for the xr650r I would not even ride anymore, honda needs to pull their heads out of they're asses and build a real bike now that they discontinued the 650

ps. all you xr650r riders try a 15 tooth front sprocket with the stock rear sprocket, 200km per hour, try that on your Yamaha TT600R

This bike is amazing. My best friend has a CRF450X. MY 650R is geared for 87mph his 450X is geared for about 75. I can take him on the wholeshot everytime in soft sand with a worn out knobby! It's pretty much head for head on gravel road until he's in 5th . Then i pull him hard.
