  • One of the best rap albums of the early 90's

  • That 1st rhyme from Q-Tip always catches me. I'm shuffling through music and I almost skip to another song, and then I'm like aaaaa....

This and Rhythm are so chill it is almost a sin, seeing as it is so much better than most of the garbage today!

  • man i feel bad being born in 95. rap used to be educational, philosophical everything. every song used to sound different too. nobody used the same drum beat either. what happened.

  • @HypeRhymz word

  • @HypeRhymz The big music corporations discovered that they could exploit yet another genre of black music. The end result was a rich, cultural art form turned into a cheap, disposable product.

  • @HypeRhymz The industry happened. :(

  • @KCpro15 for real. I'm just glad that Black Sheep and Arrested Development have new projects comin out

Black Sheep: from the black pool of genius

    Arrested Development: strong

  • @HypeRhymz I agree with you that the content of old rap trumps the "new era" of rap. Music was about something, not an advertisement like it is now. Although, nobody using the same drum beat isn't true. This era of rap was the birth of artistic sampling. A lot of songs from old school rap do use the same beat. I still love it.

  • @HypeRhymz listen to immortal technique.

  • @condiersea IT = best, bottom line.

  • @HypeRhymz

    Two words.....copy-katts!!

  • @HypeRhymz

times change foo', get used to it.

  • @HypeRhymz That is how I feel being born in 95

  • @HypeRhymz I can not agree with you more, I was born in '95 too. The golden age of hip hop is over - RIP.

  • @HypeRhymz i think one of the most poetic rappers of today is kanye west. and he sucks. D:

  • @702forever hahahhaha kanye west cant even believe u said that

  • @MAG1CMAN69 i sorta cant believe i said that either...

  • @HypeRhymz Lil Wayne happened. Also a bit JB is to blame as well.

  • @HypeRhymz wow, that is the exact story of my life.

  • @abrahammer1230 Ikr, I was born in 93... and damn, I hate my generation of music..... But at least I have Kanye, J Cole, and Lupe Fiasco

  • @HypeRhymz I was born in 80' and I agree with you TCQ was a gem to say the least, but once in a great while, you might find something worth hearing more then once nowdays!

  • @HypeRhymz feel you dude. born in '96 people dont understand music nowadays.

  • @HypeRhymz yea that's true towards the mainstream now days... but our age still has artists puttin it down for true hip hop...

Fashawn, Blu, Evidence, PoS, Diz Gibran, J.Cole.... we got it goin for the underground still....

  • @HypeRhymz educational, philosophical rap still exists you just have to look for it. btw big up 95!

  • @HypeRhymz autotune happend

  • @HypeRhymz It became entertainment business which thrives on content geared towards a lowest common denominator audience......and hell, their making a whole bunch of dough with it, the bastards......
