Good amateur review. The whisper max fans have a hydrolic bearing in them that doesn't require service. The other whisper fans have a ball bearing fan which means that the space between the spinning part of the fan and the base of the fan has little metal balls in between it. The legacy fan has oil or some sort of lubricant that's sealed so the life of the fan will be significantly greater than the one with ball bearings. The legacy fan also has quick connectors that will accept any 3mm led..
