ATI HD 5970 Review (Benchmarks)

I have this card, namely Saphire 5970 OC. before it I had 5850 and when I replaced that for this I still had them same fps in gta , then I changed my cpu (Q6600) for I7-930 and I got huge difference in performance not double but more than. after I watercooled my cpu and my card too the card didn`t work in 3D so I needed to flash the bios specially for the gpu. now it works flawlesly with 1000/5200 CPU 4.2ghz rockstable :)and the best of it I never need to hear again that noise fan of this card.

i saw higher fps before. i saw it when chuck norris went near a computer and the computer ran away at 1000 fps. thats what i saw.

man these bench mark are fake i have a 5870 i have tested l4dead it only give 110 max okay gta 4 gives me round 55 to 60 and pls gtx 295 is better than 5870 i dont own gtx 295 but i always praise technology which is better whther it is nvidia or ati

@donkeyboy2k7 that's just an advertisement though, of course they've been thinking of the i9's, i haven't seen them being sold anywhere though. the only six core intel processors out now are the xeons i believe, and you told him to overclock his processor, he only has a dual cpu, they can't OC as easy as the i7's, 4 gigs would actually need a decent amount of cooling in his machine

i have the same cpu, and in no way does it need to be overclocked. you only need to overclock things if you have a bad system, a good system will run anything at stock speeds. by the sounds of it your whole computer is relying on your cpu.

i have q9550 too and it runs 4.0Ghz and 1.2Ghz overclock is very big berformance boost.... like 10 fps more in crysis with hd 4870x2..

im gonna buy new video card in april if then geforce havent made faster card than 5970 then i buy that beast.... 2.83>4.0Ghz is allmost 1.2Ghz overclock and that's good.....

I love it when these Fanboys Run out and buy the very latest toys ,...and then sell their 1 year old stuff on kijiji/craigslist , I just built a Q6700 @ 3.75 with 4gb ram and 4890's in Crossfire on a Gigabyte motherboard all for 400$ Canadian!,....(I'm waiting for i9 to come out so they'll sell their old i7's for Cheap!) hahaha!..
