  • She's a living unique legend. Not another one of these wannabe r&b commoners. Bjork is another legend also (excluding her creepy side).

  • She's a living unique legend. Not another one of these wannabe r&b commoners.

  • i think its interesting how not many people speak of their favorite artists like imogen heap's fans. no one makes music that moves me like she does and many others. ugh its soooo beautiful and it makes me soooo incredibly happy!! its so hard to explain and i love it. great work.

  • AH!!! YOU ARE MY MUSICAL HEROINE!!!!

  • That's a beautiful view! And you can see London in the distance! Wow. =)

  • Oh, a Texas instruments Speak and Spell.. I remember those..

Cheapest voice synthesizer one could get in the 70s.. Or was it the 80s?

  • Looks like south Texas.. Like around San Antonio..

I keep expecting cows or sheep to pop out behind the trees..

  • She has the cutest laugh I've ever heard!! :D It's so sweet ^_____^

  • Thank you so much for all of the hard work you put into making this masterpiece. I'm in your debt. <3

  • imogen heap = profound beauty, period.

  • Thank you for "Wait it out", it's huge! It really moves me every time I listen to it. And I do it a lot!

  • I watched the youtube video of you with Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scotts. Perfection!

  • i think those berries look yummy at 9:53

  • You are seriously a musical genius...

  • Is that a furnace trash can?

  • The song at the end is Little Bird! WooHoo!

  • ;-*

  • oh Imogen please dont apologise! you deserve a nice break, you looked very exhausted in this blog! i know the album is out already but Imogen i tink you should take a break and refresh! you deserve it for your hard work!

  • Over time song writers tend naturally to write or compose longer more complex tunes and their is a great possibility that you will loose the popular edge to the art of song, in the context of hipness-witch has a curtain sweet spot. The trick? to stay with your audience(witch is what is so great about V.BLOGGING, it's the whole process-in action-NOT A BLIND FOLD OF DISAPOINTMENT!(and here's the CD) Thanks Imagen for your blogs.

  • i LOVE imogen heaps fashion!!! :D

  • thank you for your honesty with all your fans Immi, your music is your passion and your career which must be incredibly hard at times to juggle, Can't wait for your future work :) you're doing great. If it's as great as your previous creations I don't mind how long I wait :) xx

  • Is this near the tottenham hale station? haha the only airfeild near london and a park.

  • People call me a village idiot because I live in a small place with lots of fields and trees and NOTHING around for miles but I LOVE it lol I love wandering around with my dog and friend its lovely! Britain countrysides are gorgoues

  • bring me there!

  • Immi, you don't owe us any apologies - if I could make just one song as good as any of yours, I'd feel a huge sense of accomplishment. Take your time sweetie. Love your blogs!

  • Great comment.She's so hot!

  • aww the end is like she is breaking up with us! she breaks up so sweetly! u take as long as u want Immi! we want the best album, not a rushed one! xx

  • The song at the very end is Tidal, if you listen to vlog 35 where she plays the little snippet, it sounds JUST like it but more, and of course beautiful

  • it was probably swoon because of the hang in it

  • the song at the end.

    it is divine.

please don't change it too much.

  • The song at the end is so beautiful

  • I'm assuming it's swoon, because of the sound of the "hand". Never know though with immi. ^_^ Again, as everyone has said don't fret. Enjoy what you're doing. I know I'm enjoying these blogs.

  • I think it's Little Bird, since Swoon has a different tempo and I think a different key. Again, you never know though :)

  • Imi

A painter paints ..lets the brush flow

A writer writes ..on deadlines he often doesn't know

trust your intuition and enjoy the process, for that's what it's all about !

P.S Happy birthday ! from Texas

  • I would like to thank the person who said move the slider-move the clouds. Thanks!

  • Immi, you're so nice to give us a heads up.

But with all the other people who've said something close to this: Don't worry about it. Take your time and enjoy the process. Even though we say that we can't wait, I'm sure we won't storm you for such.

  • You look so beautiful. XX

  • AFI is commin out with a new one, I didnt know that. yayaaaayyy

  • As much as I'm dying to get my hands on your new album, you should take as much time as you want to make the perfect album for you. You're the artist. This is your masterpiece. Take as much time as is necessary :) I can't wait to hear the final product!

  • This album is gonna be in heavy rotation for months when it comes out.

  • You're a lovely Heap of beauty. Beautiful beyond description. Although the sentence preceeding attempts. Your fire is very efficient! You're quite the environmentalist. The world is not rushing you, create as you please :) I do love your music however, and it takes quite a bit of concentration while driving, not to close my eyes and sing obnoxiously out of range "Hide & Seek". I've resolved to do it in the dark in steady traffic, which I've done quite well before...you're music quite pertinent!

  • I've been incredibly anxious for this album. I think the release will rival the excitement of my 21st. The day it comes out, I plan on doing absolutely nothing except enjoying it in every atmosphere that I can.

    With that being said . . .

Don't fret about the release date. This album is gonna blow up. And I trust your genius, I know it will probably be worth more than the wait.

    Still in love xx

  • Imogen, do what's best for you! I think us, the fans, will always support you. And I would much rather have an album that you feel great about, than one that you felt rushed into doing. Lots of hugs Imogen! We all love you! :)

  • i understand how you feel immi, i feel the same way when it comes to university work and My Visual novel... You take your time :)

  • Awh!

We're both Sags! No wonder I love you so much.

  • Wow! I was just thinking the EXACT same thing...I'm a SAG too! I love you Immi, take all the time you need...and re: you're confidence, ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING you do is a masterpiece! I have never in my entire life had a favorite artist and I finally can say I do! I love you Immi! xoxoxo

  • I discovered you with a song but now i know ur personality and i can tell ur a great artist.

  • you are so beautiful, immy!

    :)

  • the day before your birthday is the day after mine...

ZOMG your floor looks so comfortable.

  • Imogen . You're brilliant.and will always be a favourite

  • Don't worry about it, I wouldn't want an album that sounds rushed, I'd rather wait a bit for an album that sounds absolutely lovely, and waiting a bit longer will make me enjoy the new album much more.

  • I feel the same way.

I'm also a fan of AFI, and there's been a lot of post-poning on their next realease... they don't give spiffy explanations, though.

Everyone freaks out about it, but not me. I mean, I can't wait.... but I can.

  • You're totally right aobut the number of albums, what's the point of creating if you can't enjoy it?

I for one would rather have a happier Imi and no album than a stressed out Imi and an earlier album. Purchasing an album that helped contribute to artist suffering would sort of make me feel like an accomplice to a crime.

Keep it in perspective. We/you need to breathe, and we/you won't need an album at nanosecond resolution.

  • But it's not... because it's London. Haha Oh my gosh I love your sense of humor.

  • I cannot start to explain how awful it makes me feel to think that you think you're letting us down by not getting it out quickly. I'd much rather you enjoyed what you're doing and were happy with your new album :) Keep at it! It's sounding fantastic! Don't overwork yourself!

  • I love that little laugh at 0.09 seconds in. Cute :D

  • Any plans on an upcoming US tour?

  • The 13th is my birthday! Not sayin' how old though. :)

  • Hello there. You have a beautiful voice, and though you already know that, it doesn't hurt to have one more person sing your praises. Best of luck with your new album! :)

  • imogen dear imogen we don´t care when it comes just as long as you do your best and fell good about it that is all that really matters don´t rush yourself we´ve waited this long a few months is not gonna kill us just do your thing and don´t think about anyhting but yourself and the how you feel about the album. love you ...

  • I second the sentiments.

  • Agreed you shouldn't push yourself too hard or you wont enjoy the art of it

  • Greetings from Canada!

I really enjoy your vblogs and great music! I agree with the others....take your time and enjoy life.

ps cheers for the intro to the hang drum :)

  • Take your time! =)

    <3

  • Hya Imogen! i think your decision is a very good one - don't worry about it too much. you're quite right that once the album is out there is little you can do except develop some new versions. take care of yourself first and your inspiration and creativity will come to you when the right time comes. thank you very much for your music and sharing your struggles with us!

  • LAST ENTRY here, where I make my big point:

My music side has been in a coma for ages. It's just starting to wake up these last few weeks! So, to find your vBlogs and hear you talk about your struggles and insecurities (which is mind blowing seeing that you have the most amazing music on the planet)... well, all I can say is THANK YOU. Thank you for being so honest and real and sharing yourself with all of us who love you so much!

  • YOU, my dear, are my biggest inspiration! I relate to you on so many levels. I'm a singer/songwriter/composer/arranger/techie person myself. Layering harmonies is, like, the funnest activity on the planet. I even have a therapy ball that I use when I'm recording because it doesn't squeek like a chair does (plus it's way fun to sit on). I freaked when I saw you using it......

  • Hope nobody minds a multi-part entry since they only give you 500 words.

Anyway...WHAT A TRIP THIS WAS! I've been a hard core fan of yours, Immi, ever since I stayed for the credits of Garden State, waiting to see WHO that amazing voice was. And I literally NEVER get tired of listening to Speak for Yourself. I think it was the only CD in my car for 2 years. I loved turning people onto your music, too.

Anyway, I JUST found these video blogs yesterday and just finished catching up.

  • Hey Immi!

Im very glad to hear about your decision- dont worrie about getting it done so soon! As a devoted fan I have weighted for it but I can weight more, and I know that you will be feeling better and less stressed which makes me feel better too. Don't be so hard on yourself, what will happon will happon and it will happon that the time it was ment to.

    Love Zoe

  • Imogen, ever heard or know this remix of your "hide and seek" song; Imogen Heap - Hide And Seek (DJ Tiesto's In Search Of Sunrise Remix).mp3

nice lil remix of i think one of your best songs, i love your work and i cant wait to get my hands on your 3rd album know how much hard work and pasion has gone into it, Thank You!

    xxxx loggii xxxx

  • Immi, there is nothing i can say that billions of others havent said to you once before, but you are SO inspirational. It's incredible. Your voice brings me comfort and puts me in a good mood, if i'm feeling low. Thank you so much for shining your light on other peoples lives. Can't wait for the album. A little R&R will do you good :)

  • Hey Imogen :)

I respect you so much by making the decision to take it slow and to not make yourself too worried about trying to make a deadline. Please enjoy what you are doing! You are such a wonderful inspiration for so many people including me :) Keep your chin up, take care of yourself and keep up the brilliant work!

  • well i can't say i'm thrilled about waiting longer for the new album but i WILL say i'm even more excited about how great its going to sound! take as long as you need... but not too long ;)

    <3!

  • Yes,beaultiful as always!

  • Hi Immi,

I don't think any fan will criticize any artist for not making "fast" albums. This is generally a bad idea to give yourself such extreme deadlines - cannot generally work (I know because I'm doing the same). The quality is what matters, and there's no point rushing.

I appreciate you so much for your effort and for the huge energies that you put away for making your awesome music.

Will try to get you on a show when I visit London. Love yah.

  • Take as much time as you need. It can only make the album that much better!

  • Im surprised how genuinely sorry you are.. Just shows how much you love your fans :) I dont care if we have to wait a couple of months, I was really afraid you were going to say in a year or something crazy..

  • Everyone is already saying the same thing, but take the time that you need, Immi. Good things come to those who wait. :)

  • The one inspiring thing about this whole journey for me to watch is that you keep becoming inspired and having fun with the music. It's awesome to have goals but like you've already rehearsed, if you're exhausting yourself then it's time to reset the goal. I think it's a wonderful idea! And I'm really excited because it'll be right before my birthday on the 27'th of December as well.

Ps. Thanks for keeping us informed. We're here to support you! We love you Immi!

  • You're such a special creature Immi! Love you and love all the work you've done. I think you made a really smart choice!! Have fun with what you love! Don't get down, you're totally amazing :D

  • Imogen please release your next album in a vinyl format. it would be great to listen to with the gritty style of a record.

  • Enjoy your life :) Nice to know you're human though. Love YOU!!!

  • The fact that your postponing your music like that clearly says that you care about what you create, and I can only respect that decision.

By the way, love your music! :)

  • Immi,

I agree with what everyone has said before me. You need to take care of yourself first. Have fun, because thats what helps spur creativity. Thats what we all love about your music, the fact that is has that fun element. Your love of the music shines through. You are such an inspiration, Immi! Keep up the good work. I'm so excited for the album, and I will be the first in line to buy it, regardless of when it comes out!

    XX Julie

  • Dito, dito, dito! We are happy to wait because you give us bits of your life in return and a glimpse into the creative genius that is your creative genius...no more lying on the floor please. Enjoy making it because we enjoy watching you make it!!! Big hug and much love from South Korea.

  • You have to take care of yourself first. Trust me when I say life is too short not to stop and have fun. The record will come when it comes. The fact that you open yourself up to us and keep us apart of your life means more than rushing your next record. I can't speak for all of your fans/friends but i'm pretty certain we all want you to be happy and healthy so please don't put a time line just let it come naturally. You're quite beautiful so please don't change...we love you!!!

  • Take your time! It doesn't matter! You should do it at your own pase, and as you said, if you don't enjoy doing it, why should you? We will adore the album more if you've put your heart and soul into it, which you will, now that you have the time and can stress less!

    You're the best artist ever!

  • i hope you really take these comments to heart. everyone doubts themselves at some point but trust me, even the tiny little snippets you've been sending us are fantastic, and most of us go back and listen to them over and over again. we're all excited for the new record but you should not push yourself. your fans know how hard you work, and as someone famous once said, you can't rush genius. have fun and take your time, we're all happy to wait!

  • :O Don't push yourself!

we're quite happy to wait, as long as we know youre happy with it!

    take care

  • This one made me smile...Everyone has drama huh? Even you. Take your time (As everyone else has said) We will wait, and I'm sure it will be great. :) <3 you!

  • Take your time Immi!

The longer you take, the more I know I will absolutely loveeee your next album (:

    love you so much!

    bye! :D

  • Immi, we love you! I really respect that you are taking your time to do this album. So many times people try to pressure into making noise, but you CAN'T make noise. And I love that about you. I look forward to hearing your new sound WHENEVER you can put it out there. <3 xoxo

  • all these comments go to show how much evri1 cares about u so pls pls PLS take care of ur self too.

  • immi,

of course we all want to hear your new music, but more than that we want you to be happy. take your time and go with what you're feeling. and by the way, everything sounds amazing so far. as an artist i know how easy it is to get into self doubting mode, but just know that you are inspiring so many people with what you are doing.

sending lots of love your way!

  • Hi Immogen,

Find peace first, the rest will follow, you are extremely talented and gifted and amazing, but even with all that you need rest too! Look after yourself and your music, much respect and love to you.

  • you are awsome, I have always loved your music, please keep doing what your doing but don't have a nervy-b! have the album finished when it is, if you get what I am saying! well chao for now!

  • Thinking of a deadline is not the most creative image to have in your mind as you write!. Just keep on exploring and having fun and go with a 'when it's done' deadline. It is the insane attention to detail, variety and the ability to conjure vivid imagery that makes me smile when I listen to your music.

  • Just wanted to say, I love hearing about your creative process and I probably just spent about 40-50 minutes at work just watching your blogs! (don't worry, we haven't been very busy here) I hope the album is coming along well as I'm sure it is, see you next blog!

  • Don't worry - we can wait. It's bound to be better if you enjoy making the album.

Come flying with me in my little microlight.

  • It's okay. Self preservation should always come first :) We still love your music.

  • An artists creativity should never be inhibited by deadline. I would rather wait a year for an album that the artists was able to create to the best of their ability, then one released early because of an arbitrary deadline. Take as much time as you need.

  • I can't think of a better gift.Happy Birthday!

  • Oct. 13th is my birthday! ;D I cant wait for the song.

  • Phew, that makes me feel a bit better about my own work (stressed programmer). It's hard to set a deadline and stick to it when you have to motivate yourself.

What I've found is that things seem to come together naturally and everything seems a bit easier when you're having fun with it. If not then it just turns into a death march. I wouldn't put much pressure on yourself to meet than December deadline either. Once it's donw it can't be changed. Better to be 'late' than regret something.

  • I'm probably sounding like a me too here, but be happy, don't kill yourself and from the left coast of the USA what you shared so far sounds wonderful. When you're happy with it, I know I'll love it and from reading these comments, I have a lot of agreement here.

  • December, January, whenever - I can't wait! Don't stress, the fans will be salivating by that point & begging for more! It's always wierd to think that people so obviously talented can sometimes doubt themselves. But I know it happens, and you are not immune to human frailty so don't be so hard on yourself. Your honesty is refreshing & heartfelt.

  • Ok so I know this is really random but I am trying to complete my list of Imogen songs and the only one I cant find is a collaboration she did with Sean Lennon. Does anyone know the name of the song? Any help would be great I am desperate!!!

    Thanks in advance,

    fayde

  • Imoooo!

Please take all the time you need. I was suprised anyway when u explained how u want to create this album. Creative processes cant be "scheduled and planned" or the like.

It's done when you say it's done.

Thats all I need to know.

    Love you!

    Greets!

  • I will wait as long as it takes for the album to come out. I just want it to be stunning, as you are. So don't stress, Immi. You know that us fans are here to support you with any decision you make.

  • I have a speak and spell!! Aww! Don't rush your album. Take your time with it! We don't mind at all. I'm just looking forward to hearing all your new stuff and there's no point stressing yourself to make it get finished earlier. You should be enjoying it! So yeah, just keep going and finish it when you feel ready :)

  • I thought it was quite ambitious to finish the album by october anyways! As long as it eventually comes, what's a few months?

I love hearing all the little bits of songs; they just make me even more excited for the album to come out! :)

  • Some of these people really are assholes --'dont want to hear the play-by-play, save it for the extras'...wtf?? I think most people enjoy hearing about whatever 'space' you're in Immi and are delighted to share this journey with you. It amazes me how people love to spread their own cold pricklies to everyone else. Take your time, dont forget to breathe, and enjoy the birthing process of creativity. :-) Love and light.

  • I agree totally! We love to hear anything about what she's doing. It's what she does after all! Well said!

  • How can she be dropped if Megaphonic is her own label. Her prior one was a Japanese one after Almo Sounds transferred their catalog to them.

  • Take as much time as you need, Immi. :]

I'm sure it'll be more than worth the wait. Your material is stunning.

    Best of luck. xo

  • Take your time Immi and don't force the creative process!!!

    "Now now darling

    oh don't lose your head

cause none of us were angels

and you know I love you yeah!"

    xoxoxoxoxo

    Danny

  • Deadlines are for businessmen, not artists. You can't create beauty simply because a deadline wants it. Beauty and creation follow their own schedule.

  • Dont worry Immi, I'll do the job for you, I'll kill yourself if I'm not having your album by the xmas eve. la la

  • I so love her

  • True fans stick around. I said way back when to not stress out and force it because we'll hear it. So take your time and make something you're proud you made instead of be slightly happy with something that felt forced and ripped out of you. We will love you regardless.

  • Good job!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Enjoy the summery days, the brambles and your great talent.

Looking forward to hearing your new songs whenever they come out.

  • I know what you're going through, I've suffered from horrible depression for a while now and I think you should be HAPPY and not have to stress. You started writing music because you liked it, not because it was your job, so that is what you should do. I don't care when the album comes out, I care IF the album comes out.

    I love you! :D

    xxxxxxxxxxx

P.S. If you do read this, don't feel obligated to reply, just take it to heart and be pleased that your fans are so supportive.

  • actually i thought it was set to be finished in december anyways, because the timeframe you set yourself was soso small! immi! sonce you do everything yourself from lyrics to programming to...everything it takes much longer than an album where producers get people to do all the stuff for you. so take your time, we all will be rewarded with new one of a kind music! stress only destroys your passion!

    love, stella!

  • I can feel what you might be going through there with the pressure of trying to complete your songs before the deadlines. But it is really important to relax and i do believe you should take as much time as it takes to make sure your album is perfect and we're gonna wait for it as we know its gonna be worth the wait!

And you're such an inspiration. I've been working on a little music project of mine too and i know how it feels when you get stressed out n nothing sounds good.

    Well, good luck!!

  • Omg look at the clouds move when you move the time-bar.That's so awesome:D

  • Hahaha cool!

  • Aww. *cyber hug* You could release it December next year and I'd still purchase it. <3

  • It's all sounding fantastic to me Imogen - I personally cant wait to get hold of those tracks, but I completely get where you are coming from - take your time, musical creativity comes from allowing your mind to wander in all directions, and the pleasure of revealing those new sounds, melodies and harmonies - kepp up the great work, I feel this album is going to be your finest!

    Adam

  • I definately hear you on this one, the same thing is happening with my university degree at the moment. Take it easy and do what you feel you should with the album; I doubt that the extra 2 months will rob you from creating another album over the span of your career! Keep up the good work!

  • i Love your music Imogen, and I'm surtanly not the only one from Norway who does.. I'd really like you to visit Norway sometime.. And hope that I get to met you. you have no idea, you've helped me trough so much these last few years.. come and visit, Norway will love it !

  • Looking forward to hear your album whenever you are done with it :)

    Know excactly where youre at!

Not always easy to be creative on demand!

    Just KEEP BLOGGING! :)

    Love Bluefall

  • I wish you all the best, Immi!

  • Well, I'm glad you made this decision for yourself. Good for you. =]

And I agree with much others, it's going to sound A LOT better if it doesn't seem rushed and feels like you had fun with it. I wish you the best of luck.

  • I'm so glad to hear you say that! I'd much rather an AWESOME album in the spring than a good album for Christmas.

  • No worries! :-) Rome wasn't built in a day...one can't force the creative process. Thanks for the blog as always - and DON'T STRESS!!! LOL! *<-:-)

  • Well, it's no wonder! Most people can't get into a new home, make renovations, move their crap in AND write a new album! That's a whole bunch of nutty. Your fans will wait, no matter how long it takes. So get your head to where you need it and let it come naturally. We'll all be here for you! Bon chance! xx rcg

  • If your headspace is to far from Here & Now you are bound to struggle, which only points you back to be here now! So no problem hey! We all can relate to the common issues on the journey to happiness. You are great! Forget about the album your health is more important to us =>

  • Yep, what everyone else has said. Thanks for sharing your journey with us - hope you're enjoying it at the moment :)

  • As a big fan of your music for several years now, I would much rather see you spending the ti me you need to finish the album the way you want it to sound, than to compromise and deliver it too early. Creativity is hard to define. I think too many brilliant artists of today suffer under the industry's time schedual. Do your thing! :)

  • You know, I'd be very surprised if people had found everything they could from Speak From Yourself. I can tell you that I've listened to that album more than anything else in the last month & there's something new to hear every time. When what you deliver delivers so much then I think every comment here is spot on; Just have a good time! Once it's out there will be YEARS to enjoy it, & I for one don't mind how long it takes to arrive. Your only obligation to fans is to be happy in your music.

  • Just take your time... I'm sure it will be something beautiful as always... (=':'=)Love you!

  • take your time we will all be waiting patiently for it...i know everything will work out great!!

  • I've read every single comment on this vlog. Immi fans are so....nice...I've never seen a single "basher" on any videos of her so far. She's probably the only artist, i've ever seen at least, on youtube who doesn't have a hater. Thats pretty awesome. Sorry to have been off topic, but i just realised. Also, since i've read the same thing over and over, all i have to say is "what they said" ;)

    Cant wait for it!!

  • Don't stress! Move at your own pace. A rushed album is never a good one... Take your time. We can wait, we have this long. Waiting a little longer won't kill us. I'd much rather have a fantastic album than a sloppy one. Take care of yourself!

  • It's all good...don't rush, do what you believe and we'll be here when it's finished. We'd rather you be satisfied than to rush something just because we want it!

  • Ohhh Poor Immi!! We'll wait a hundred years for the album if that's necessary! Keep the great work! :D

  • Just another drop in an endless sea, I'm sure, but I agree with most of the posters here. Take your time, you are not responsible to any of us to make the album on a deadline. I'll look foward to hearing the amount of beautiful stuff you'll think up for the album by slowing down and going at your own pace.

  • I'm with the other 293 people who have commented so far... composing/recording/arranging is your time to enjoy :) also please do another songwriting sesh sometime ... i'd give my right arm to have a peek into your creative process! also, btw, love reading your twitter updates. anyhoo, take care of yourself immi. we love you x

  • Another songwriting session? I'm late coming into all this. Just found the video blogs last night and watched them all in a row. Is the songwriting session somewhere where I can see it, watch it, read it?

  • fantastic blog! no worries about the new goal time! you should enjoy making your music as much as we love hearing it! :)

  • You've got to enjoy the journey as much as the destination. Blessings and renewed energy to you in your creative path.

  • Enjoy the creative process. The down times are just a part of it and are usually followed by a creative break through. Take the time you need.

  • YES! Learn how to fly!!! It's cool! And I've really enjoyed learning how to sail, it's fun too.

  • I hope you read these comments because you may realise that in the end, everyone is extremely upset that you feel rushed, and fully supports your decision to push the date back. You can't rush brilliance, Miss Heap; so we definitely don't want to rush you! I would rather an album you loved that was late than an album you rushed but made your deadline. Christians say that even when God made the world he had to take a rest, and considering you are on the same level, I think it's time you took one.

  • Well, ok, I guess I can't really blame you for changing it from my birthday to your own... it's nice to be able to move deadlines, isn't it?

That was a question, since I'd really like to know. I never can :(

It's ready when it is, if it wasn't it wouldn't and yes, didn't take long for me to get lost with that, did it. :P

  • Once a head girl, always a head girl! How endearing that you are feeling all responsible for a few weeks delay over what will no doubt be well worth the wait for all your fans. I've been enjoying the vblogs as much as the music, so if it was another year, well that would be fine :)

I love it when girls confess, it's so scary right up until they say what it actually is, then it's a relief that it's not really anything at all! Hope you got a hug from Justine The Camera Lady :)

  • I don't care if it takes ten years to make this album, Ms. Heap. I prefer quality over speed any day...so as long as your album is quality - which, judging by the samples, it definitely will be - you can take as long as you like.

p.s. i am infatuated with you. just slightly. ;) hahahaha.

  • take your time immy...make the album what you want it to be and be happy with what you make it...take your time and whatever and whenever it is and comes out i'm sure it will be AMAZING and we all will LOVE IT!

  • Immi, me, and everyone want you to relax and enjoy yourself just as much as we relax and enjoy things!

Don't rush =) We all think your music is amazing even if you don't think so yourself.

The english countryside is very gorgeous, and we enjoyed this blog =)

Your are on creative, lovely artist, and we can't wait for you new album to come out! ^^

    <3 everyone! (expecially me) ;)

  • Gosh, even though it might not be read - and I SHOULD have gone to bed...HoUrS ago. I feel the urge to write our dear Immi some uplifting words...poor thing!!!

We wouldn't want to see her fade away/break down because of this would we!?!?!?!

BTW; don't'ya'll think they oughta hire Immi (AnD MUSE) to make music for the Olympics 2012???

  • Hey Imogen! I'd really appreciate it if you shortened the samples because its really ruining the suprises for all of us, really!

And like everyone's saying, your idea is good, you should be happy with what you're doing, not stressing over it. Thing is: if you're not going to be satisfied with it, we probably aren't going to be either.

  • I actually love you.

    Take your time :)

    Lots of hugs and kisses

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • I know you probably don't read these comments but...

I for one am not dissappointed in the least for the Dec. 8th date. Finish the mastering in January even. You can't rush creativity, because once you do that, the true meaning of art is lost! Immi, your music is really smart and helps me deal with a lot of the ignorance in this world and I thank you from the deepest part of me that you have the oppertunity to make music:) Enjoy yourself these next few months, love the ones who love you back

  • i wish it was summer for me. i'm in school

    :(

but your music is so inspiring is gets me through those off days.

  • Awnh poor Imogen...

  • ejoy yourself. ok :D

i'm nearly 15 and an art prodigy (i sketch) and i always feel a little gulity becasue i dont draw to often. it takes SO much work and last year i was literally forceing myself to complete this portrait and it killed my creative flame. i just became all confused and question myself, lost interest. REALLY uspet. then I chilled for a year

now i'm in this creative rush and it ROCKS

we i love you, and we dont caare when it comes out. everythings fine, be happy whoo!

  • In the same vein as what everyone else is saying don't feel the need to rush for us :) We like your music because it is great, consistent music that we can listen to for ages, not because we get a new mediocre album every 6 months! The extra time spent for you to be truly happy with the album will be appreciated by us in the end result.

Take your time and enjoy it :)

  • *sigh*

    Imogen Heap steals my soul.

  • Ok... So I know that I am just going to repeat what everybody else is saying, but I really do agree. Just take the time you need to finish the new album! I'll just wait and listen to the "old" songs in the meantime (:

  • I will just echo what everyone else has said - don't stress yourself just for us. We have enough of your beautiful music to keep us going until the new album is ready. Instead of Christmas we can buy it for Easter. xx
